Chapter 958: System’s Bug?
Facing Carn’s aggression, Xu Feng wasn’t afraid. But he was certainly wary of it.
Her damage output was by no ans low at all. Just one spell from her could easily cause him to lose over 15% of his total health points.
That was just how scary her Hidden Class was. Of course, the basis was still the massive difference in levels between them.
“Co over here, Guild Leader.” Carn suddenly said sweetly. “I just want to give you a hug. Don’t you want one?”
Instantly, Xu Feng felt a chill running down his spine. Without a doubt, she was talking about the hug incident they had previously, except that the context was totally different.
‘Do I look like so mindless idiot?’ He questioned silently.
Thankfully, he didn’t have to face her aggression anymore when a loud system prompt echoed throughout the vast field.
System Notification: Congratulations to all surviving 50 players. You will shortly be transported to the next section for the second round. May you continue to brave through the obstacles and strive to earn the qualification for the Hall of Resonance.
Xu Feng paused his retreating steps and glanced at the player counter. His expression was solemn.
anwhile, Carn caught up to him in ti but didn’t make any movent.
She was simply confused by his sudden, serious expression. ‘Is there sothing wrong with the system prompt?’
As she pondered that question, she decided to follow the trail of his eyesight and glanced up.
“What the…” Her eyebrows twitched upon seeing the player count in the sky.
It was actually listed as 40 and not 50.
“Is this a bug from the system?” Her voice was starting to crack up from the astonishing scene.
The System congratulated 50 players, but there were only 40 in the player counter. She was completely bewildered by the scene.
Could the system have encountered a bug or miscalculated?
These were the two questions running through her mind, but she found it hard to believe it would make such a mistake.
A few monts later, Xu Feng took a deep breath and realized the trickiness of this system.
“We’ve been swindled.” He flashed a bittersweet smile.
“40 players remain, but the system still recognizes it as 50. This ant that the eliminated players could still be participating. And the eliminated could possibly snatch over the surviving players through so challenge conducted by the system.”
“It can’t be.” Carn pursed her lips.
What Xu Feng’s theory was that eliminated players could now vie for the empty spot to advance to the next stage. Moreover, they could also challenge the spot taken by the survival players in the battle royale.
If that were truly the case, then all external force players would be completely annihilated by the combined force of those in the Super Guilds.
‘Hold up, the Guild Leader said his deductions have been wrong lately. So maybe he’s wrong this ti as well.’ Carn held such thoughts as the two of them were subsequently transported to a new space.
The new space was sowhat spacious and open, but when the other surviving players t each other. One could easily see each other’s bewildernt and dazed expression.
Clearly, it wasn’t just them who had noticed the player count in the sky.
Instead, everyone who survived realized there was sothing amiss with the trial.
“What’s going on with the System?”

they’re going to pull so revival crap?”

“Hmph, more like you Super Guilds are despicable than ever!”
“As if you external force players are any better! Just you wait. If I know any of you targeted my mbers, I won’t forget about it!”
While the crowd was getting heated, with two different sides clashing, there was one incident that caught everyone by surprise.
After all, the incident wasn’t about the two different sides, but about the sa guild.
“Donald, you fucking bastard!” Fernando roared in fury as soon as he spotted Donald in the crowd.
“Who cursed at ?” Instantly, Donald was infuriated by so random person shouting at him. He was a bona fide branch leader for the Cyclone Guild’s Darkness Branch.
In other words, his status was similar to the top in this place. Unless it was the Cyclone Guild Leader or the elders in his family, no one else was allowed to disrespect him.
However, the mont Donald turned around and realized who was cursing at him, his expression turned weird.
‘What the fuck is wrong with Fernando?’ He cursed silently.
Although most people already knew the branches were at each other’s throats, they were still compelled to display harmony in public.
So what Fernando was doing was essentially going against their Guild Leader’s order.
“I cursed at you!” Fernando, who was filled with rage, continued to march ahead. The followers of Donald didn’t dare to stop him either.
Even a fool could tell Fernando was in rage mode and would shoot at anyone who dared to block him.
A few seconds later, Fernando arrived in front of Donald as he threw a barrage of curses and accusations.
“You fucking bastard dare to pay soone else to target my Tornado Branch and Kelso’s Lightning Branch. Do you believe you’re invincible if you succeed in the trial?”
“What nonsense are you shouting at!” Donald’s expression turned sour at the lethal accusation.
If the accusation was spread and their Guild Leader believed it, then even the elders in his family couldn’t protect him from the consequences.
Why wouldn’t Donald be infuriated by such an insidious sche deployed by Fernando?
anwhile, Fernando was truly livid when he couldn’t even spot an ounce of guilt from Donald. In fact, he was utterly speechless that the latter was able to perform and act as if he was completely innocent.
“Kelso saved my life, so I get to be here. Just you wait, Donald!” Fernando hissed coldly.
Everyone was utterly stunned by the scene, except for two people.
Xu Feng and Carn were extrely low key as they remained in position.
Nevertheless, they both acted stunned to imrse themselves in the crowd’s reaction.
