Chapter 959: Such Hypocrisy…
Xu Feng didn’t expect Fernando’s rage to explode so thunderously. He had thought the latter would have started shouting for Reckonizer’s na first.
After all, compared to Reckonizer, the latter was still considered a part of the external force player’s side.
anwhile, Donald belonged to the Cyclone Guild. And who didn’t know the Cyclone Guild promoted harmony?
Although it was hypocritical considering the internal political fight between the branches, outwardly, they still had to act as if they were very best buddies.
Hence, Xu Feng never thought Fernando would outright disregard the so-called harmony act and called out Donald for the grudges.
Seeing his perplexed expression on the side, Carn suddenly curled her lips upward.
“Psst, Guild Leader. Are you curious why Fernando is shredding the pretentious act and calling out Donald?” Carn whispered to his ear softly.
Stunned, Xu Feng turned to her and looked at her. “You know sothing?”
He was certainly baffled to learn that the supposedly naive and ignorant Carn would have information regarding them.
“Yes,” she flashed a sly smile and explained, “The Cyclone Guild Leader plans on retiring soon and entering the grand elder group. He’s exhausted from managing the super guild for so long.”
BOOM!
The information was like a bomb exploding in Xu Feng’s mind.
“Are you absolutely certain?” He lowered his tone and asked solemnly. “And where did you even get such news?”
“I have my own channel, and I can say it’s basically confird that they will soon elect a new Guild Leader,” Carn answered the second question ambiguously, but answered straightforwardly on his first question.
With the questions answered in a sowhat weird manner, Xu Feng was silent.
“Why didn’t you tell
from the start?” He twitched his brows. Such information would have been critical and helpful to him.
“Well, you never asked.” Carn shrugged. “Also, do you think I have the opportunity to tell you when we’re all so busy?”
Their interaction lately might seem very long, but the truth was that they were constantly under a ti crunch.
They were either busy with the town developnt, the dungeon raid, or the discussion of the trial.
There just wasn’t any window of opportunity for Carn to relay the information.
Moreover, unlike Xu Feng, who could absorb the information received on the spot and swiftly utilize it. Carn needed ti to digest and organize them.
Her process of absorption was known to Xu Feng, so every ti he lectured or explained things to her, he made sure it was relatively concise and simple.
“Alright, you have a point there.” Xu Feng exhaled softly and realized he really had never asked her many questions. More often or not, it was always him being questioned and answering them in response.
“I should raise more questions in the future. Otherwise, I might just miss out on crucial information.” He truly regretted not asking earlier. Had he known about this, then he could have done bigger damage.
Carn nodded with a sense of pride. She raised her chin slightly up and said, “Yes, you should ask
so more questions. I’ll answer them gladly.”
“Okay, then what’s your age and body asurent?”
“Scram!”
Realizing that he was teasing her, Carn’s face quickly puffed up, and she nearly wanted to pinch his arm.
Of course, if it were soone else who asked such a question. Then what they would face was not just so desire to commit an act. Instead, it would be a full-blown beat down until they couldn’t even recognize who their mama was.
While their conversation was ongoing, the accusation and rage between Donald and Fernando forcefully subsided by Floral Witch.
Her reasoning was simple.
She would rat on the two of them and complain directly to the grand elder group to have them impeached for acting out of hand as a branch leader.
Sure enough, such a threat worked like a charm, and both sides could only glare at each other fiercely.
However, the incident was made known to many others that Fernando and Kelso had tead up. After all, Fernando was targeting Donald with the pretext of Kelso’s death in the battle royale from Donald’s sche.
With the commotion temporarily suppressed, the rest soon grouped up.
But it was very clear that the external force players invited by the Super Guild had been divided.
Although there were still so external force players remaining in the Super Guild they were invited from, most chose to form their own group. The battle royale experience already showcased that they were an outcast.
For an outcast, it would be a daydream for them to leave their back unguarded to the Super Guild.
Xu Feng and Carn planned on being at the side of the external force players as well. After all, it could be said that their relationship with the Cyclone Guild had soured substantially.
But for so reason, Azalea spotted them and hurriedly went to their side.
“There you are.” She said with a sowhat relieved tone. “Our Floral Branch is over here. Let
guide you there.”
Carn’s expression remained unchanged. She was stoic, completely unreadable from Azalea’s perspective.
However, Xu Feng knew that Carn was waiting for his decision.
It didn’t take long for him to make one, though.
“I see… There are too many people, and I didn’t know where you were located.” Xu Feng subtly responded.
Although it appeared as if Xu Feng was giving a reason why he wasn’t grouping with them, Azalea realized that he was giving her a heads-up. A heads-up where their cooperation might be in jeopardy if the situation continued as it is without any changes.
Despite understanding the implication, Azalea put on a friendly smile and nodded in agreent. “Indeed, the crowd is too abundant, and the commotion caused by Fernando only causes more chaos.”
While the two were conversing quite amiably, Carn was once again enlightened by the way of the world.
‘So one could play like this, huh.’ She thought to herself. Both sides were on the verge of falling out, but they still acted as if they were very friendly on the surface.
Such hypocrisy…
She definitely needed to learn them and utilize them in the future!
