Chapter 922: Automatic Paynt
Both Gentle Wind and Iceheart were rendered speechless by the way Xu Feng operated.
Who the hell would encourage and even advise them that they were allowed to cheat others?
Despite being inford they were allowed, Gentle Wind actually held such an intention, to begin with. Besides being an ally of Xu Feng’s guild, she naturally had her own connection channel as well.
The sa applied to Iceheart, who could easily capitalize on their authority and position further from their other allied guilds.
“I take it that there is no more question regarding the town tokens, right?” Xu Feng asked to confirm that everything was alright. He was a busy man, so there was no way he would be handing over town tokens to every mber.
This kind of duty could easily be left for Tracy who was now in charge of the Town Hall’s Administration.
Although Tracy was an NPC, she was definitely more competent and trustworthy than most players in Xu Feng’s eyes.
Since nobody raised any opinion after a few seconds, Xu Feng activated his town token and teleported away.
The action was soon followed by Veronica and Carn.
Gentle Wind hesitated only for a second before activating her town token. Of course, it wasn’t extrely fast because there was a system prompt asking her to pay the fee.
To make things more convenient, there was also an empty box that could be checkmarked which would enable her to automatically pay the next ti she was to activate the town token.
‘This Lin Feng really knows how to make money.’ Gentle Wind twitched her mouth and checkmarked it for automatic paynt.
There wouldn’t be any accidental activation for the town token unless one was too distracted or just plain dumb in general.
In addition, not checking the box for automatic paynt, ant a constant delay depending on how fast one could do the paynt.
And if they were in a sticky situation such as being chased by monsters or players, that delay of a mont could an life and death.
After paying the fee, Gentle Wind vanished from the tavern.
Iceheart, on the other hand, took a little while because she needed a subordinate of hers to transfer so money to her.
“I’ll pay you back double when we return to the guild.” Iceheart glanced at Fla Bird and said.
“T-There’s no need to repay ,” Fla Bird trembled slightly and quickly rejected the notion. She had realized that her words from earlier had embarrassed her Guild Commander. It was already decent enough that Iceheart didn’t fault her.
How could she possibly dare to receive a repaynt?
It was the equivalent of a regular employee trying to get the money owed by the higher-ups.
“You either take the repaynt or you can be sent to do many extre tasks for the guild. Make your choice.”
“I will gladly receive the repaynt twofold.”
Fla Bird’s expression turned solemn as she absolutely refused to undergo the extre tasks that Iceheart talked about. The extre tasks were dedicated to only the elitists of the elite in the Phoenix Guild.
When it first started, many believed they were capable and could handle the challenges.
However, not even half an hour later, many surrendered and begged to quit.
Since then, the Phoenix Guild made it a tradition to anyone who wanted to achieve a rank above Guild Captain must undergo extre tasks. This included Iceheart, who had to participate in it to be promoted despite her contribution.
Of course, not many could persist, prompting them to be just regular “elders” with the Guild Captain rank.
“It’s good that you decided fast.” Satisfied, Iceheart also checkmarked for automatic paynt and vanished from the tavern.
The remaining mbers also followed and checkmarked the automatic paynt. Not a single person opted out of checkmarking it.
…
Twilight Glades, Haven Wind Town
Streaks of lights flashed by in the Teleport Platform which was placed strategically in many vital businesses.
Vital businesses such as Adventure Association, rcenary Association, Blacksmith, Auction House, etc.
Of course, the Adventure Association and rcenary Association was currently inactive, as well as the Auction House. The town needed to reach certain criteria and standards to have them active.
The Adventure Association and rcenary Association were relatively easy to obtain permission.
The problematic one was the Auction House. The process was complicated and expensive. It was expensive because of the share profit being 80-20.
The Auction House would take 80% of the commission, leaving only 20% to them. To make things even worse, most of the operation and cost required the town to cover.
Since they were now able to enter the town, Xu Feng had to explain to them that most of the vital businesses were yet to be activated.
“So they aren’t active at all?” Gentle Wind raised an eyebrow and wondered how the town was going to generate revenue. It can’t be that he was solely relying on the entrance fee, right?
“Yes and no.”
“What do you an?”
“At the mont, only the blacksmith operated by our guild is active. But the Adventure and rcenary Association isn’t active yet. The town is still listed as private after all.”
Nodding, Gentle Wind understood that they were granted an early entry. A beta version or a sneak peek in advance was what it could be called for their situation.
“Then what about the Auction House?” Gentle Wind pointed at the grand building. Out of every building around the periter, only the Auction House was extrely grand and eye-catching.
“Oh, that, it would take a while to create a deal with the nobles from the Aetheria Empire. But fret not, we will launch the first auction of the town conducted by us when the town officially opens to the public.” Xu Feng explained.
When a town becos public, it wouldn’t just be players who would be attracted. Even NPCs, most notably rchant NPCs, who could sniff out a fortune from a long distance would co to check their town out.
‘If I can rope them in and establish a trade connection. Let’s see if you people still dare to bargain with
for an 80-20 split profit.’ Xu Feng sneered inwardly.
