Chapter 921: Entrance Fee

Shortly after playing everyone for a fool at Braum Tavern, Xu Feng made sure to keep a tight lid on the information he knew regarding the Colossuses.

After all, the backstory behind the Colossuses was more complicated than the others had in mind.

In fact, Xu Feng would be spending days trying to explain the concept and reason behind it. And he definitely wouldn’t waste his ti on such a thing.

Ti went by, and soon, Steelshot and SilentWhisper of Silver Wind Guild arrived.

As for the Phoenix Guild’s side, only Iceheart arrived and she looked at Xu Feng with a complicated gaze.

Their relationship was truly quite awkward. Their first interaction wasn’t ideal, but gradually, it beca neutral and then sowhat of an ally thanks to the Vanguard Guild suppressing Riverbane.

Of course, this was also factoring in the fact that Iceheart remained with the Vanguard Guild despite the sudden ambush from Lethal Corp.

“I see you got promoted from a Guild Captain to a Guild Commander, Iceheart.” Xu Feng was the first to speak up. He congratulated her on the promotion.

“Hah, you speak as if part of the credit weren’t from you.” Iceheart rolled her eyes in response. Despite the rolling-eyed action, she had practically admitted that her promotion was thanks to Xu Feng.

The Guild Leader and higher-ups of the Phoenix Guild weren’t blind people who didn’t know the Vanguard Guild only assisted them due to Iceheart’s presence.

“Then are you going to treat

to dinner?” Xu Feng chuckled and had no sha in taking the credit.

“Just the two of us?” Iceheart raised an eyebrow.

“Oh, I didn’t know you were that aggressive.” He mused and spread his arms.

“I’ll gladly let you pick the ti and date if you are keen on treating .”

“Scram!”

Having realized he was teasing her, she raised the middle finger at him.

Their bantering seed intense to those unaware, but everyone present understood they were quite friendly.

“Anyway, I don’t want to waste any more ti. Shall we head to the town that is constructed by my guild?” Xu Feng clasped his hands and ended the small talk.

After nobody raised any objections, Xu Feng proceeded to hand them the town token.

“These town tokens are required to access the town because it’s still listed as private. But keep in mind that the entry fee will still be imposed. It’s normally 10 silver coins per entry but because you’re all Silver Rank mbers of the chamber of comrce, the price will be 8 silver coins.”

“Are you operating a scam?” Iceheart twitched her brows and nearly crushed the town token.

A difference of 2 silver coins was considered a good benefit for being silver rank?

Moreover, the entry fee was set at 10 silver coins?

Even if the town was that strategic, who would be willing to pay that much?

The average player’s daily inco was only 15-20 silver coins. And that was not including any maintenance fee or traveling fee.

“This isn’t a scam,” Xu Feng straightened his back and stated, “This is an opportunity for players to earn big. Twilight Glades is a neutral map with no nearby cities around. Our town is the only access point that could allow players to maximize their effort.”

As hateful as it sounded, Iceheart was left speechless after hearing it. Indeed, without the town located at Twilight Glades, no player would be willing to spend half an hour to travel there and another half an hour to return.

Not to ntion, the monsters around Twilight Glades were all high-level and required a lot of effort to hunt. However, the benefit of hunting the monsters was a high return on quality materials and inco. Additionally, the experience points gained in such a map would definitely be worth it.

“I don’t have that many coins on .” Iceheart pursed her lips and said. She had just repaired her equipnt and upgraded a few more things.

After all, it was required for the Guild Commander rank to not appear shabby which might damage the Phoenix Guild’s reputation. Thus, her money was always on the low end.

Xu Feng was rendered speechless by the situation.

“What about you then?” He turned to Fla Bird and asked.

“I have the money,” Fla Bird responded. “I can also pay on behalf of the Guild Commander.”

Iceheart’s face started to burn slightly. She would have made sure to secure so funds before coming here when she was notified of the situation.

How could she have forgotten that Xu Feng was a money grubber?

She seriously doubted Xu Feng would even spare his own guild mbers from collecting the town’s entrance fee.

Soti later, Xu Feng received the entrance fee and gladly enabled the town token.

“From now on, if you want to return to the town, you can just pay the required fee and it will automatically teleport you.” Xu Feng explained.

When the others heard it, their expression was rather distorted.

After all, it ant that every ti they wanted to return to the town, albeit even gone for just a second, they would have to pay to enter again.

Moreover, this applied to every other mber who wished to enter the town.

Thanks to Xu Feng’s ticulous explanation now that he had swindled them marvelously. He beca generous and stated that they could just apply for the town token from the Town Hall Administration.

Of course, the prerequisites must still be t, and the mbers could only be from their guild.

And whether it was intentional or not, Xu Feng even revealed that they could sell the town tokens such as allowing others to join their guild and beco a mber of theirs.

However, if any trouble were to arise from their guild, then depending on the troubles, compensation must be paid. As for the blacklisted people being caught, then it was a revocation of their status in the chamber of comrce.

To summarize, Xu Feng didn’t care what they planned to do with the town token as long as it didn’t cross his bottom line.
