Chapter 912: Jinx Mouth

Carn was definitely fascinated by the scene of owning a battle puppet and using them to assist her in battle.

Having experienced setbacks against the Slaughter Chainsaw, she knew that relying simply on her summoned creatures was not going to be enough. She needed more utilities and firepower. The more the rrier!

Xu Feng also understood her mindset. Moreover, he wouldn’t be mad at her for trying to beco stronger.

It was just that the battle puppet sounded beautiful on paper, but in reality, the process to create one was extrely taxing. It could be said that Xu Feng would rather construct 10 more towns over building 1 prominent battle puppet.

“We’ll see if we can gather enough materials first.” Xu Feng calmly replied, not daring to promise Carn anything.

Aside from the materials required, one also needed enough Mastery Level to succeed in the first place.

To simplify, Xu Feng could only dream about owning one. He stored the chanical Heart Core in his inventory and starred it, ensuring that he wouldn’t forget about having the item.

Once that was done, Xu Feng asked Carn one last ti if any other items fancied her. Granted that this secret dungeon wasn’t going to be publicized, it would be so ti before Xu Feng would put it in the Guild Warehouse.

Rather than letting it rot in his inventory, he might as well let Carn choose so more of them in advance.

Carn only took a few glances before shaking her head. She had already taken the items that interest her. As for the rest, they were either useless or incompatible with her. Most importantly, she got the valuable skill, Ultimate Will which was fully awakened.

One could say that her struggles had co to fruition.

But if anyone asked her would she do it again if she knew what was going to happen.

Her answer to them would be: HELL NO!

“I’m going to take a break from secret dungeons,” Carn said. She was nearly traumatized by the series of events.

Nodding, Xu Feng agreed with her and preferred to take a break from any secret dungeons, especially when it was related to the Honor of Glory.

Had he known this secret dungeon was a part of it, then he would have never joined without much preparation.

Realization quickly dawned upon him as to why he never heard about this secret dungeon before. Even he barely succeeded, so what else to say for those who didn’t have any advanced knowledge like him in the past tiline?

“Anyway, shall we leave now?” Xu Feng clasped his hands and asked.

“I was wondering when you were going to suggest leaving.” She crossed her arms and teased. “I still hate this place, so let’s just talk after we return to the town.”

He nodded in agreent—the gloomy atmosphere in the dungeon didn’t dissipate much despite it being completed.

Soti later, the two walked out through the large tallic door with the exit sign.

“Oh noes, we got transported to another majestic place!” Carn suddenly shouted in alarm.

anwhile, from behind, Xu Feng’s mouth had an “O” shape as he wondered what the heck she was talking about.

“We’re still in the sa old Duskwither Hollow…” He comnted.

“I know.” Carn chuckled. “I was just wondering if we might get transported elsewhere due to the multiple instances we experienced in the secret dungeon. So I’ve prepared my reaction in advance.”

“I see…”

A few seconds later, Carn took a step forward and screeched. “Oh no, I’ve triggered a hidden teleportation formation. We’re done!”

Xu Feng: …

All she did was step on so grass, but for so reason, Xu Feng was wondering if she was experiencing PTSD.

Or maybe, she was really trying to jinx them into being transported to so other nonsensical plotline.

“Anyway, I’m going to activate the town token, so you can continue to do your thing.” Xu Feng retrieved a token from his inventory and said. He wasn’t going to bother returning to the town by foot when he could easily just teleport back to it.

They were still in the teleportation range, and it was one of the reasons why many wished to obtain a town token.

“You’re no fun,” Carn shrugged and retrieved her own town token.

“According to my calculation, we should have been t with sothing else. Now it’s just kinda lackluster on how safe we’re going to return.” She continued, having been reminded of their previous large-scale dungeon raid.

Oh boy, she was really infected by the protagonist’s halo disease. The protagonist’s halo in which the main character would constantly attract trouble or major events even if they were simply just breathing.

A few seconds later, the two of them returned to Haven Wind Town without any hiccups, much to the disappointnt of Carn. She clicked her tongue and realized they were really safe and sound.

“Damn it, this doesn’t even make sense.” She spread her arms wide and glanced around. “By now, we should have been t with a sudden ergency where others required our assistance.”

“Just what are you thinking?” Xu Feng tilted his head and was about to give her a light smack when he received multiple ssage notifications.

Silent, Xu Feng’s expression turned rather ugly. ‘She didn’t jinx it, right?’

He swallowed a mouthful of saliva and opened his inbox. He had specifically turned off ssage notifications except for certain people. Thus, he was extrely nervous about the sudden notifications, wondering if there was really trouble waiting for him.

anwhile, Carn noticed his complexion had turned ugly.

Curious and intrigued, she approached him closer. “What is it? So problems really did happen, right?”

Finally, Xu Feng realized she didn’t go crazy or anything. Instead, she was eagerly waiting for so fool to vent her frustration and testing out her full unrestricted skills on them.

Upon opening the ssage, Xu Feng frowned and exhaled softly. “Damn it, you and your jinx mouth. There’s a problem with Garak City.”

“Really?” Carn’s eyes bead in joy.

Suddenly, Xu Feng grinned and snickered, “Yup, it seems like our guild successfully beca the Overlord of Garak Forest and people are flocking in to seek cooperation with us!”
