Chapter 913: Serious Matter

When Carn realized she had just been played by Xu Feng, she nearly wanted to give him a good beating.

“Ugh, how could you swindle

like that, Guild Leader!” She puffed her chest and pouted in a sour tone. She had thought that so clowns were causing trouble which would enable her to flex her muscles on them.

Who would have thought Xu Feng had put on an act to deceive her?

She had just ntally prepared to fight, only to realize there was no fight. Such a feeling was equivalent to being blue balled!

Naturally, she wouldn’t know exactly the pain of it. She had only heard it from s and jokes that n used toward their own kind.

“Hey, this is your fault for trying to jinx .” Xu Feng remarked.

Carn’s cheeks puffed up in response, creating a cute yet pitiful look. She was trying to gain his sympathy with such an expression.

Maybe if it weren’t for the fact that Xu Feng knew she was definitely not the cute type, then he might have fallen for it.

“Save your cute act to the simps.” He brushed her aside and entered the Town Hall.

As his silhouette gradually disappeared, Carn pursed her lips.

“Who said I would act cute to other n?” She muttered, kicked a small rock on the ground, and followed after him.

Once inside the Town Hall, Carn noticed Xu Feng’s pace was extrely fast. He had already entered the main office.

By the ti she arrived at the main office, she saw Xu Feng’s fingers working in the air.

Naturally, he wasn’t being crazy or anything. Instead, he was looking through multiple panels that were only visible to him.

“So are you leaving the Garak Forest’s matter to Veronica completely?” Carn found a comfortable chair to sit in as she raised the question.

“Pretty much.” Xu Feng replied. “Veronica managed to rope in Silver Wind, Phoenix, Solaris, and other guilds into an alliance. The outer layer of the forest was defended by them whereas the core section was defended by our guild. Veronica is indeed talented in how to use people.”

“Well, that’s obvious.” Carn raised her chin up, clearly feeling proud of her. “Even back then, she was the office politics goddess. The higher-ups couldn’t even do anything to her.”

After saying so, Carn checked the ti and was rather dumbfounded that the ti spent in the dungeon was the sa as the ti outside.

Usually, there would have been a difference in the ti ratio, but it appeared that they had really spent a bit over 2 days in the secret dungeon.

Suddenly, the question ca to mind. “Wait, we spent 2 days playing without stopping. How co I don’t feel anything or receive any warning?”

Her face turned ghastly pale as she wondered about her real-life body’s condition.

When Xu Feng heard her panicking, he paused his work and inford her. “You can relax. Your real-life body is unhard. In fact, I believe you will find yourself in even more perfect shape than usual.”

“I-Is that so?”

Although Carn didn’t doubt he would lie, she still proceeded to log out.

After vanishing from the spot, she soon reappeared after another 20 minutes.

“My goodness, my clarity and mind feel so refreshed.” She exclaid loudly upon returning.

“What I tell you,” Amused, Xu Feng would have long panicked if he didn’t know about the secrecy. Dungeons that have special requirents like the Testimony of Will were guaranteed to benefit their body.

“Alright, shall we head to Garak City and take a look?” He then stood up and asked. It was about ti to reveal himself, lest others might start to harbor so evil plan against his guild.

Feeling bored as well, Carn stood up and stretched her arms. “Yeah, I don’t have much to do anyway. I only washed my face up earlier and ca back imdiately.”

After quitting her real-life job and imrsing in the Divine World, she had long been addicted. Other than the fact that Xu Feng would pay her for her Guild Commander’s rank, she also made a boatload of money by selling her gains.

Naturally, it was through the channel of the guild in which she received a 50-50 profit.

Therefore, even though she had spent a long ti in the dungeon, she was ready to explore new stuff.

And of course, this was only possible for her and those who were talented.

Other players—such as those who were less fortunate or skillful, still needed to work in real-life jobs to sustain themselves.

With that being said, Xu Feng sent a ssage to Veronica and began making his way to Garak City alongside Carn.

Garak City, Braum Tavern

In the lobby of the tavern, Veronica was enjoying her al when she received delightful news.

‘Finally, the Guild Leader has returned.’ Her eyes bead in joy as she felt the pressure within her lessened by a large margin.

As much as she had been doing well in stabilizing the situation and creating an alliance with others. Veronica knew most of them were snakes and foxes, rely abiding for ti.

The Garak Forest was just a big juicy fat piece of at that everyone wished to devour.

If she had forcefully maintained monopolization, it wouldn’t be long before they would be under siege. Had it not been for that fear, Veronica wouldn’t have even invited previous guilds who participated in the large-scale raid dungeon.

“What’s the matter, Guild Captain? You seed overly excited.” OneMandia suddenly raised an eyebrow and asked when he noticed she was behaving sowhat oddly.

“Tell the Team Leader of each team to start getting ready to return,” Veronica demanded.

OneMandia’s expression darkened. He lowered his voice and asked, “Did soone make a move against us?”

Having been an assistant to Veronica for a while, OneMandia had investigated a lot of guilds who wanted to besiege them.

Looking at his vigilance, Veronica curled her lips upward.

“It’s a serious matter,” she responded, purposely keeping her Guild Leader’s arrival a secret.
