??868: Wall Run

868: Wall Run

Xu Feng was certain that such a tutorial phase was ant to be relatively easy for players to complete.

However, as they continued to progress, the difficulty would only increase exponentially.

Carn rarely played gas until the Divine World, so it was only natural for her to be unfamiliar with the ga chanics style.

She might have learned a lot, but there were still many more that she remained unaware of.

“You’re right, Guild Leader.

I can’t be too complacent.” Carn clenched her fist and admitted her mistake.

Indeed, there was nothing to be smug about when it was still the tutorial phase.

Although the system guide disappeared, that didn’t an they were out of the phase.

After all, there was an icon on the left side of their status screen that indicated 2F.

Initially, Carn didn’t understand the aning, but based on Xu Feng’s explanation, the 2F should stand for 2nd Floor or 2nd level to be precise.

They were climbing the tower from the ground level, so it was only natural for the indicator to constantly change as they ascended higher.

The only problem was that they didn’t know how many floors they were required to climb.

The System was equally black-hearted to not reveal much information other than the fact that they must reach the peak to escape.

Nevertheless, the two continued to pass through the obstacles and arrived at the 3F.

Unlike the previous floor, this floor showed a new obstacle.

There were no cracks in the bridges or any poles.

Instead, there was a side wall and a platform that were quite far from them.

Carn took a few steps forward to glance at the edges of their platform and could see the ground level.

She frowned a bit and wondered if the System was asking them to just fall and give up.

“Have you seen any exploration docuntation or movies?” Xu Feng suddenly raised the question.

“No, I’m not interested in them.” She shook her head.

Nodding, he didn’t find it surprising.

He was going to use more gas as samples, but considering Carn’s ignorance in most, he didn’t ask about it.

“Our stamina is unlimited here, and seeing this kind of setup.

The mini-ga intends for us to wall run.” Xu Feng explained.

The wall run aspect was very common in most exploration-type gas where a player had to dash into a side wall to go across the platform.

However, it was usually done by an individual and not with another person who had their ankle chained up with them.

By the ti Xu Feng finished explaining the chanic to Carn, she instantly twitched her mouth.

“Doesn’t this an we really need to coordinate well?” She said, feeling regretful for her earlier complacent behavior.

In this wall run part, the teamwork was raised to another bar.

If one of them were to slow down during the process, then both would fall from the lack of montum.

Additionally, if one of them were to be too quick, then they were bound to fall as well.

“No worries, you can run first and I’ll follow behind you.” Xu Feng gently smiled and reassured her.

Yet his response made Carn feel that she was a burden through and through.

From the beginning of the dungeon till now, she had been carried by him.

How does that even make any sense?

She was higher level and held more skills.

But in a restricted environnt, she was no different than a novice who only dragged the pros down.

Soti later, Carn could only agree to their arrangent.

She raised her right hand, signaling to him from behind that she was going to start running.

When Xu Feng made no comnt, she took a deep breath and exhaled.

Her eyes glinted solemnly and she kicked the ground softly on her left foot, giving her a boost to start running toward the side wall.

Instantly, Xu Feng followed ahead, ensuring that Carn wouldn’t feel the chains shackling her movent.

Just when they were running into the side wall, Carn tried her best to balance herself.

Alas, the System was one sly bastard!

When Carn reached about 70% of the side wall, she felt a heavy grease in the side wall, causing her to slip and lose her montum.

The grease continued on and she fell off from the side wall completely.

“Why was the wall so slippery?” She frowned and realized she was just hanging in the air, supported by Xu Feng.

Unfortunately, Xu Feng was equally helpless in the situation.

Granted that he was at around 65% and far off from the other platform, he couldn’t reach there with his current pace.

Sure enough, without any surprise, Xu Feng was dragged down by Carn due to gravity.

Although he tried to speed across, he only got a little bit of 2-3% distance before he fell down with Carn.

The two began free falling and Carn closed her eyes in a panic.

Not everyone could withstand the feeling of falling down and watching the inevitable happen.

Xu Feng also felt his heart beating rapidly, but it was a normal reaction from the human body.

THUD!

The two crashed down heavily to the ground level, but none of them felt any pain.

The emotion they felt was just the adrenaline rush and their inner thought warning them of the upcoming danger.

“Damn it!” Frustrated, Carn clenched her fist and nearly cursed aloud at the system.

“Who the hell put grease in the side wall to cause us to slip?”

Based on Xu Feng’s explanation, the failure in such a part usually resulted in players overestimating their montum or jump limit to do a shortcut.

None of it had grease pasted on the wall and caused them to slip—especially when it was still the tutorial phase.

Or at least that was what Carn believed.

As for Xu Feng, he ca to realize the tutorial phase had long ended with the two simple obstacles.

‘Can’t believe I didn’t recognize it earlier.’ He furrowed his brows, having wondered why there wasn’t a system guide despite facing a new type of obstacle.

He hadn’t thought that it was a problem given the obstacle course was extrely straightforward.
