Chapter 772: Protection
With Xu Feng warning Carn about the danger of her action today, she remained nonchalant and carefree.
In fact, she didn't even seem bothered that so people would target her just because she refused to join their affiliation.
"Honorary Elder seed to have forgotten about my past incident." She suddenly smirked and kindly reminded him about the Reaver Guild's action toward her.
"Did you think I haven't experienced the scene of getting persecuted?"
Hearing that, Xu Feng must admit his mistake. It appeared that he was wrong to underestimate the ntality of Carn.
"You're right. I just wanted to give you a heads up of the possibility." He responded.
He was about to speak further but Carn interrupted him.
"The heads up is nice, but there's no need for that. Even if I remain unaware, my Guild Leader will definitely be the first to fend off those scums." She flashed a cheeky smile.
Speechless, Xu Feng had to hand it to her. She was definitely getting more and more cheeky, but he couldn't argue against it either.
After all, he would indeed destroy those who wanted to harm her. That was the duty of a guild leader. Of course, it only applied to his loyal mbers.
As for those who only ca in to hug the wealth and fa, he could really care less. They would be used as manual labor and get so benefit in return, but that was about it.
While they were conversing casually, the news of Carn's ability to devastate a new type of Colossus quickly spread like wildfire.
"Whoever she is, she must be in our guild!"
"I don't care how much we need to spend to recruit her. We need her ASAP!"
"Vanguard Guild… they're mysterious indeed, but I refuse to believe they're omnipotent. A powerful summoner like her shouldn't be in an upstart guild."
The commotion rapidly turned chaotic, with many top guilds and a few super guilds as well as wanting to recruit a talented person like Carn into their team.

As each part of the guilds and teams began their preparation, back at the battlefield in Dawnshire City, Carn began to flash her might.
She first headed over to Zhao Kai's section and greeted him.
"Hello." She waved her hand.
"Uh, yes, hello." Initially startled, Zhao Kai nearly wanted to curse the intruder for interrupting his zone. However, he realized it was soone from the Vanguard Guild, and upon closer inspection, it was the person he had been trying to surpass.
"What are you doing here?" He then asked in a nervous tone. 'She can't be trying to kill steal
now, right? I've worked so hard and got it to less than 30%.'
"I ca here to assist you," Carn explained.
Instantly, a petrified look appeared on his face.
As much as he wanted to curse her for being unscrupulous, he couldn't do so because they were in the sa guild. And for so reason, his buddy valued her more than him. Without a doubt, he would get the short end of the stick if he complained or tried to seek justice.
anwhile, his expression which was extrely clear to read, caused Carn to be baffled. 'I guessed he viewed
as a rival since we're in the sa rank in the guild.'
Shaking her head, Carn decided to back off. "I've just finished assisting the Honorary Elder and thought of coming here to help you. But I see that you seem capable so I'm going to help the others."
Before Zhao Kai could even respond, Carn entered a portal that she created and exited the scene.

Zhao Kai was rendered speechless for a mont and ultimately failed to notice an incoming attack from the sneaky Colossus who took advantage of his distraction.

He was imdiately struck flying across the field and lost quite a bit of health points in the process.
Zhao Kai's face was quickly sared in dirt and he twitched his mouth in anger.
"Hah, I just got looked down upon by a fellow guild mate. And now you dare to pull a sneak attack?" Infuriated, Zhao Kai held his shield and charged straight ahead. He was extrely embarrassed by the certainty of Carn's thoughts about him being a petty person.
What better way to vent than thrashing a tanky monster!
Thus, the scene of a tragic Colossus being bodied by an Eclipser Knight was recorded for future reference.
anwhile, on the far right side of the field, Gentle Wind, who had assud total control, was busy putting the Colossus in place.
"Steelshot, keep it up and distract the Colossus' attention." She commanded.
Steelshot who was running all over the field while dodging the skill shot nodded. "Roger that. The Colossus should be dreaming about ever landing a hit on ."
Although not a tank, he was a Gunner who emphasized speed. With his agility attribute nearly at the top, he was confident in his evasion skill.
"SilentWhisper, get ready to assist—" Just when Gentle Wind was about to command her other subordinate, she noticed an abnormality.
By instinct alone, she shifted her attention and gazed at the left side of the scene.
"Who is it?" She shouted in alarm.
With Gentle Wind's sudden shout, those in the frontline maintained their formation to keep the Colossus at bay whereas the others began to chant their spells.
"Guild Leader Gentle Wind sure is perceptive." Erging from the portal was naturally Carn, who didn't wish to waste ti traveling on foot.
"Fret not, I'm here to grant you the protection that you paid for." Carn chuckled and turned her attention to the Colossus. The health point of the Colossus was surprisingly still at around 60%.
'Ah, they really are incompetent.' She thought to herself.
