Chapter 771: Famous Or Infamous

Shortly after being inford of the rged Colossus health points, Xu Feng snapped out of his daze and shifted his gaze.

As soon as he did, he witnessed a pitiful scene.

The rged Colossus constantly tried to growl and used its attacks and spells to deflect the voidlings who were swarming at it. Unfortunately, the voidlings were like superglue, completely immovable and stuck to the body.

To top it off, they continued to leak out a powerful acidic liquid that corroded their defense and resistance. In other words, the rged Colossus was forever stuck in a state of weakness. Even if it could recover, the recovery was cut by a large percentage.

"Remind

again that I'm so happy you're not my enemy." Xu Feng comnted, feeling extrely blessed.

Indeed, his luck on everything was terrible, but having Carn as an ally nullified all of those.

"Hehe, do you even need a reminder?" Carn teased and controlled her voidlings to slow down the damage output.

"Alright, the weakening would continue, but the damage output is going to decrease. Do you want the final hit of the kill or just want to step on it?" She then asked for confirmation.

Xu Feng had only requested to step on it but never specified when he wanted to do it.

It didn't even take a second for Xu Feng to decide though.

"No need, I'll just step on it when their health is around 5%. You'll take the last hit and I'll make sure no one can try to kill steal." He calmly said. Although the experience granted to the last hitter was abundant, he wasn't greedy for it.

Contrary to so experience points, Carn getting the last hit and obtaining more souls to absorb for her voidlings were definitely the better choice.

With that being said, Carn simply nodded her head. Deep down though, she had already anticipated this would be his decision anyway.

'As expected of the Guild Leader. Always so greedy and profit-seeking, but when it involved those close to him. He always strived for a better result for others.' She was not a bit disappointed that it took him an instant to decide the last hit kill would be her.

Nevertheless, if Xu Feng said he wanted the kill, then she would have given it to him. She wasn't that desperate to steal all the resources for herself to improve anyway.

A ga—especially one that involved multiplayer, was ant to be fun when her companions were also on the sa level as hers. Only when a ga was single-player mode must you loot everything for yourself.

"Honorary Elder, you should step on it now." Carn suddenly said. She had controlled her damage output to prevent any possible accident.

Nodding, Xu Feng wasted no ti and leaped forward. He glanced at the miserable sight of the rged Colossus from above.

"Looks like the table has been turned. Who's suffering now?" Xu Feng sneered and vented all his anger as he stepped on the rged Colossus face.

Naturally, the rged Colossus was fuming and tried to attack Xu Feng.

Alas, it was just a sha that it had been weakened for too long and barely got any strength to retaliate. Not to ntion, the voidlings were constantly attacking at the angle that immobilized the rged Colossus further.

As for Xu Feng, he only stepped on it for around 10 seconds before jumping back down.

"Okay, you can kill him now." He then said, patting off the dust on his clothes.

"Eh, just that?" Startled, Carn was dumbfounded. She had thought he would take a longer ti, so she purposely delayed the attack from her voidlings to accidentally kill it too fast during the process.

"Yeah, I don't want to delay any longer because of a personal grudge. Besides, it's best to kill the enemy quickly rather than let them have a chance to retaliate and deal one final blow." Xu Feng shrugged.

He had seen too many cliches of people spending too much ti celebrating in advance, only to end up worsening the situation. As if he would beco one of those fools and allow the rged Colossus any coback.

Thankfully, the cliche scene wouldn't occur as Carn simply nodded and instantly killed the rged Colossus with her ultimate skill.

As soon as the kill occurred, her experience bar jumped by a large margin, but it was still far from enough to level up. Nevertheless, she was already satisfied enough to absorb the soul of such a monster.

"Phew, this has got to be one of the better souls so far." She exclaid, having felt the soul was quite the extraordinary one.

anwhile, Xu Feng also received an abundant amount of experience points and nearly leveled up to 38.

Simultaneously, the collapse of the rged Colossus was instantly spread all across the battlefield. It was inevitable to prevent such news, given that all eyes were on them.

"You're fine with being in scrutiny, right?" Xu Feng asked softly. "With your display of strength, I'm sure there would be many wanting to poach you now."

"Oi, are you afraid of

leaving?" Amused, Carn grinned and teased him. "Maybe I will if the paynt was good enough."

Shaking his head, he naturally understood she was teasing. If she had truly wished to leave, then she would outright declare her intention rather than teasing him about it.

However, that wasn't the reason why he asked that kind of question.

With her ability and combat power, it goes without saying she would beco even more famous. But famous and infamous was just a small flip.

Both terms described a person being well-known to the public, except one of them was for good karma whereas the other was for bad karma.

Nevertheless, the bad and good karma was rely determined by the public. And the public was the type to be manipulated by the higher-ups easily even when there was widespread social dia available to people.

"Lunar Wraith, humans are very hateful and spiteful creatures, especially those on the top. If they can't get sothing, then they will do their best to destroy them." He warned solemnly.
