Amidst Carn's panicking and beliefs that the guild she joined was going to et its end soon, Xu Feng was dumbfounded.
Where was the confidence she had in him from earlier?
How co she changed all of a sudden ever since being exposed to the guild's core secrets?
'Damn, she's doubting my ability.' Xu Feng's face twitched.
Never once did he expect there would co a day when Carn would start doubting him and seek to co up with a solution herself to save him from being fired or replaced.
"When have I ever failed or been unreliable, Carn?" Xu Feng held a solemn expression on his face and asked. His gaze locked deeply in her eyes.
Stunned, Carn's body tensed up when being gazed at so intensely.
"N-Never?" She stutteringly replied. Her fingers started fidgeting when she could practically feel his breathing.
anwhile, Xu Feng sighed softly and leaned back in his seat. "Alright, I suppose I need you to et with OneMandia. Otherwise, you will really continue to doubt ."
"Eh? But isn't OneMandia a hot commodity? We can actually et with him?" Carn raised an eyebrow.
Due to the intense and unprecedented rise of the Divine World, anyone who could offer exclusive news or give very spicy hints was held in regard. Thus, OneMandia had appeared in nurous news channels aside from the one that Reporter Cherry managed.
Many could tell OneMandia was building up his connections and fa, but the news channels were happy to comply, given their viewership ratings would soar as well. In a sense, it was a win-win situation for both, in which both were using each other for their benefit.
Because of the ripple effect, OneMandia could be considered a dia celebrity, with a busy schedule and not just anyone could et with him.
"What's so hard about having a eting with OneMandia?" Xu Feng rolled his eyes. Previously, he was too occupied with the Divine World to care much about real-world news broadcasts.
Now that he realized the influence OneMandia had built up, he might as well take this chance to use him. After all, he was a subordinate, or a guild mber of his at the end of the day.
Finally, Carn's skepticism was lowered a bit when she realized Xu Feng could et with such a person easily. Although she ca from a first-graded city, that didn't an she could just et anyone she wanted.
Only the higher-ups or people in actual power of the first-graded city could do that with a simple snap of their fingers.
Soti later, Xu Feng finished sending OneMandia a text and relayed the news to Carn. "He'll et with us in an hour from now, so what do you want to do?"
"Ugh, my mind is weak now because of your antics, so sothing fun." Carn rubbed her temples. She was starting to regret being involved in learning and knowing the core secrets of the guild.
As much as she wanted to return to her usual ignorance, it was a little bit too late now that she knew about the guild's financial status.
After all, to run a guild, especially one that had made an enemy with the Reaver Guild, just a few million wasn't enough.
"When will your boss get involved?" She suddenly inquired, wondering why his mysterious boss still remained hidden. "Or is it that the Reaver Guild is not enough of a problem for your boss to make a move."
"Bingo," Xu Feng snapped his fingers and chuckled.
Chuckling for a mont, Xu Feng smiled lightly. "Alright, I never intended for you to worry about the financial situation either. Since you're a marketer, you only need to worry about coming up with ways to promote the guild."
Carn's face twitched and then flat out replied, "Then the first thing we need to change is the guild emblem. It's not fancy or cool enough."
Continue your adventure at empire
Naturally, she was speaking out of spite and rely wanted to provoke him.
Shaking his head, Xu Feng proceeded to drive around Avalon City to show her the attractiveness of the city.
Fancy stuff won't amaze her, so rather than that, he brought her to so artistic and down-to-earth scenery.
Throughout the journey, Carn's sullen expression slowly turned to a smile, and finally laughter.
"Oh my god, that animal is so silly. Why is he sniffing his own poop?" Carn giggled and pointed at an animal in the open space.
"Don't you think the animal is similar to Hundred Ghost?" Xu Feng mused. "He tried to shit on you, but failed miserably and now he even has to eat his own shit."
"Pfft," As disgusting as that sounded, Carn covered her mouth as she found it hilarious from the analogy.
anwhile, the parents with kids swiftly moved a bit away from them. Clearly, they were wary and disgusted by their conversation.
Unaware of their surroundings, Carn continued to enjoy herself with Xu Feng occasionally dropping hilarious yet disgusting analogies.
"Look at that animal wrapping its arm around the tree. That's just like Hundred Ghost when he ca begging
for rcy. The tree resembled my big thigh for him to hug." Xu Feng pointed out.
"My gosh, Guild Leader." Carn laughed rrily and threw so light punches at Xu Feng. "Stop making
laugh and use Hundred Ghost as an analogy. He might be sneezing hard right now from your constant comnts."
"Isn't that good then? I'm helping him sneeze and beco human. Who told him to act so haughtily and look down on everyone?"
"Then at least keep your volu down. Who knows if Hundred Ghost might be just behind us?"
Hearing that, Xu Feng suddenly turned around, only to see no one.
"Phew, false alarm," Xu Feng patted his chest and breathed a sigh of relief.
Carn was rendered speechless by his acting and wondered if he should have gone to the entertainnt industry instead.
"You sure know how to make one forget their anger." She smiled and gave him a light pinch, appreciating his effort in alleviating her foul and sour mood.
"Happy to make my mber joyous." Xu Feng made a bow and glanced at the ti. "OneMandia should be available now."
