As the waiter cleverly avoided table 21 until their food was ready, Carn was less than pleased at Xu Feng's behavior.

She never expected that his real-life behavior was the sa as his in-ga behavior.

Didn't most usually claim that people acting in a ga were the polar opposite of their real-life persona?

"Ugh, I'm starting to regret signing the contract." Carn facepald and leaned backward on the chair.

"Do you want to dissolve the contract then?" Xu Feng softly asked. "If so, then I can dissolve it."

"In your dreams!" Carn rolled her eyes and glared at him. "Everyone knew that you treated the branch Reaver Guild harshly to protect . So if I leave, who would want to team up with

anymore?"

Her implication ant that if she were to leave, her status of being ungrateful was guaranteed.

However, Xu Feng knew very well that was rely an excuse.

The demoness would care for others' opinions?

That was one great joke if soone were to tell him it.

Right now, Carn might not be the actual demoness in his mory, but she was already showing signs of her inner personality.

This was more emphasized back when she was trapped in the illusion created by Earthrender and he had a chance to see how she reacted in the case of a fake him.

Carn was rather ruthless, and the thod might not be worse than Crimson Heart, but she still displayed a bit of her ferociousness.

Just at this mont, the waiter who carried two trays of plates covered in a small do was sowhat nervous as he approached them.

"Here's the appetizer course," The waiter said politely, his position slightly closer to Xu Feng. Normally, he would take this ti to introduce the dish to them, but after sensing Carn's gaze, he quickly opened the do of the trays and left hastily.

"Look at the waiter's reaction. He's treating

like so demon or devil." Carn pouted, clearly blaming Xu Feng for spouting nonsense from earlier.

"Heh, but don't you find it better to not have others disturb us?" Xu Feng mused. He wasn't rich enough like in so romance drama where the rich main lead rented the entire restaurant.

However, by creating this small misunderstanding, he obtained a similar result, and with minimal cost too.

Rendered speechless, Carn couldn't argue that she didn't like the tranquilness, especially without the waiter's earlier rambling about the wine's origin. She was starving and wanted food, not so comntary of how epic or aweso the wine was.

"Why did you choose a fine-dining restaurant though?" After finishing her appetizer dish, Carn asked.

"Hmm, I thought you would prefer so high-class lunch." Xu Feng scratched his chin and said, "This kind of setting is usually adored by many won."

"Adored by many, but I much preferred simpler food that could fill

up." Carn pursed her lips. "I doubt I displayed myself as so snobbish woman who only loved fancy and expensive food."

"Haha, then it's my fault. I honestly don't like this kind of fancy lunch either." Xu Feng chuckled, except it was in bad timing.

The waiter, who had returned with the entree, heard their conversation just now and he nearly tripped in his steps.

'Why did you make a reservation here then?' The waiter cried inwardly but dared not make any comnt. At the end of the day, they were paying custors, given their restaurant policy was to pay first before having the reservation made.

This was to save them the trouble of having to calculate the price near the end with a check. Of course, the nu and wine being shown in the list for the custors to pick were also within the money they had paid, so no one could complain about anything.

It was a kind of special policy of their restaurant, and quite an uncommon practice.

Hence, Carn didn't have that knowledge and believed Xu Feng was just trying to order all the expensive things.

Ti slowly passed by, and soon, the two finished their course. Xu Feng promptly stood up from his seat and was about to leave.

"Eh, we need to wait for the check, Guild Leader." Carn was startled, wondering if he was trying to dine and dash.

"The food's been paid from the start. We can just leave once we're done eating." He casually explained and began walking away.

'Why didn't he tell

earlier then?' Carn cried inwardly and followed after him. She wasn't even a bit suspicious of him lying.

As they returned to the parking lot and entered the car, Xu Feng said, "Do you want to do so sightseeing or tour around Avalon City?"

"I'm ntally exhausted." Carn pulled her seat back to lie and glared at Xu Feng.

"Anyway, you said earlier that I think too much, so did you have a solution to the guild's financial situation already?" She finally asked the doubts in her mind.

Previously, they were outside, so she restrained herself from asking such questions in public. Now that they were in the car, she could finally speak the things in her mind.

Nodding, Xu Feng smirked. "You've already known about it and asked

that already."

"I did?"

"Yes, you did."

"How and when?" Suddenly, Carn furrowed her brows and recalled the news channel with OneMandia speaking a bunch of things.

"The livestream?" Her eyes widened in shock upon rembering that the Vanguard guild was going to do a livestream.

"That's right. What could earn more money other than live streaming exciting things and having the audience donate their hard-earned money to us?" Xu Feng clasped his hands, seemingly praising Carn's deduction.

anwhile, Carn only had one word in her mind: Doom.

They were definitely dood because this solution was completely unreliable.

Live streaming might sound nice and an easy-making money platform, but only those with a few brain cells knew that few could ever beco successful in live streaming. Aside from the few well-known strears, many small or unknown ones basically make peanuts.

"No, I need to return to Green Fla City fast and make a marketing campaign to promote the Vanguard guild," Carn mumbled, realizing the severity of the matter.
