After getting teased through their journey to Redule Restaurant, Carn got a gist of the Vanguard guild situation.

It looked mysterious and mighty on the surface, but the truth was, the guild was nothing but a paper tiger.

Other than the achievent of bullying the branch Reaver Guild and its monopolization of a near-run-down city, there really wasn't much in the guild.

The funds and manpower were severely lacking.

"Is this not the main guild but a branch one?" Carn asked in disbelief when she was finally exposed to most of the core secrets of the Vanguard guild.

She found it baffling that the Vanguard guild was still functioning with so many problems, consisting of many small and big ones.

"This is the main guild." Xu Feng lightly comnted, parking the car at the restaurant's parking lot.

"Additionally, the boss is currently busy with his other tasks, so he delegated all responsibility to . The funds were also almost expended because of ."

Carn's face twitched, clearly unable to comprehend his actions.

If the funds were severely lacking, then why did he continue to squander the gold coins around as if they were copper coins?

Doesn't he know the value of gold coins in the Divine World?

Currently, many players still scramble around, with many offering high amounts of money in exchange for gold coins. Enjoy exclusive adventures from empire

As long as Xu Feng decided to exchange a few of those that he squandered around with, earning a few hundred thousand was a piece of cake.

Alas, before she could question him, she saw Xu Feng exiting the car and getting ready to head into the restaurant.

"Wait a minute, Guild Leader." Carn quickly got out of the car and chased after him. As for the car, Vera, the system AI, locked automatically once it no longer sensed any occupants.

Ignoring her call out, Xu Feng went toward the female receptionist, who promptly asked politely, "Hello, Sir, do you have a reservation?"

"Yes, it's labeled under Xu Feng."

"Give

a mont." The female receptionist smiled lightly and went through the smart tablet. A second later, she found the na and the reservation.

"Mister Feng, your table is ready and located at table number 21."

"Thanks," Xu Feng nodded and had his arm grabbed by Carn.

"You stop avoiding my question!" Carn pursed her lips.

Confused, the female receptionist thought it was an unruly person who tried to harm their custor, but was glad that she held herself back.

"I'll tell you once we get inside and order so food. You've been starving for a while, so why talk outside when we can talk after ordering?" Xu Feng mused, giving a light apologetic smile to the female receptionist for the unsightly scene.

Soti later, the two arrived at their designated table number, where a uniford waiter promptly walked over, poured them so water into the clear glass bottle, and asked what they wanted to eat.

Annoyed, Carn was about to just order sothing simple, but to her dismay. Xu Feng went ahead and ordered an expensive wine, followed by an expensive course for two people.

Watching him squandering again, Carn frowned.

Previously, she didn't know about the actual financial state of the Vanguard guild, so she thought they were filthy rich. Thus, she didn't care much.

However, now that she had joined and beca eligible to know the core secrets, she was infuriated with Xu Feng's flamboyant spending.

"Guild Leader, aren't you afraid your boss might kick you out for reckless spending?" Carn questioned softly. Underlying her question was concern and worry that he might get replaced by another person soon.

"The boss trusts

and will never kick

out." Xu Feng chuckled softly, taking a few sips of the water. The boss and he were the sa person after all.

How could he kick himself out of the guild?

As for letting Carn in on the core secrets, Xu Feng still refrained a little bit and chose not to disclose his real identity.

It wasn't that he didn't trust her, but the fact that it would beco a huge burden for her if she were to know. Just the re fact that she already acted like a cat that had its tail stepped on upon his conduct was enough reason to warn him of the red flags.

"Are you sure that you won't get kicked out?" Skeptical, Carn seriously doubted his words. "No, I'll need to start putting restrictions on your spending. Otherwise, the guild will be bankrupt before it could even continue to operate nicely."

Startled, Xu Feng was nearly taken aback upon hearing those kinds of words.

Restriction on his spending?

Wasn't that the sa as him back then when he had to control and calculate the amount of money he could use each day to survive?

"You think too much, Carn." Putting on a solemn expression, Xu Feng paused for a mont once the waiter returned with the fancy and expensive wine on his arm.

"This wine is…" As the waiter blabbered about its origin and exquisite taste, he finally poured a bit of the wine for Xu Feng and Carn to taste.

Xu Feng naturally savored its taste, given he rarely treated himself fancily. Carn, on the other hand, rely sipped it a little bit and was not satisfied.

For that kind of price, this wine was definitely not worth it compared to the ones she had at Green Fla City.

Without a doubt, the trained waiter was dumbfounded to see a custor unsatisfied with the wine flavor.

"Haha, don't mind her. She's just not in a good mood lately." Xu Feng chuckled and gave a subtle hint that it was that ti of the month.

Realization dawned upon the waiter as he nodded and cleverly retreated to give his companion personal space to relax her emotions.

"Did you just imply that I'm having that kind of thing?" Carn twitched her mouth, baffled by his shalessness. She was genuinely concerned with the guild and his position. Yet instead of being grateful, he hinted to others that she was having her period.

Who wouldn't be infuriated?
