Chapter 1385: Sunrise Inner City Part 2
The Sunrise Inner City was originally a powerful Tier 5 Primate City.
Unfortunately, an invasion from Hell had caused such a majestic city to be brought into ruin.
According to the historical text, not a single citizen was able to flee the city.
And no, it wasn’t because they were trapped or anything, but everyone in the city chose to fight till their last breath.
Needless to say, the dungeon was a recreation of that destructive battle, with remnants of ancient items left behind.
These ancient items were useless and completely ineffective to Hell, so they were untouched. Think of it as soone’s leftover food at a restaurant; no new custor would want that kind of leftover food.
They would be disdainful and even scornful at the restaurant if they were served leftover food.
"I might be stretching it now to attempt the raid, but it’s now or never." Xu Feng knitted his brows and opened the guild announcent specific to a certain ranking in the guild.
The Colossus’ influence was actually hastened and spreading rapidly as opposed to the past tiline.
This was sothing that had caught him by surprise.
Without the players successfully hindering or even challenging the Colossuses on the spot, he cannot imagine what the Divine World would beco.
Maybe it was the butterfly effect, but because he had reached the Viscount rank. He now gained access to the area where the Sunrise Inner City was located.
If it weren’t for this promotion, then he would have been barred from setting foot there.
Soti later, he finished making the recruitnt post and inspecting the potions concocted by Jeanette carefully.
He was trying to investigate what she did to concoct them.
And it was around this ti that Carn arrived at his personal office.
"Feng, I’ve discovered a few rats." She exclaid and approached him.
She directly sat on his lap and explained her situation.
Xu Feng made sure to hold her securely as he listened patiently.
"It’s so frustrating, Feng. How could there be so many traitors wanting to side with the Colossuses?" Carn pouted and complained about the players’ mindset.
So of these players were still using their benefits to improve their ga environnt. Yet they still had the nerve to betray them and wanted to collude with the Colossuses.
Had it not been for the item detection regarding these players using restricted items in the vicinity, then she wouldn’t have even noticed their nefarious intentions.
"It’s called being human." Xu Feng chuckled heartily and coaxed Carn. Not everyone held moral principles or even a grateful personality.
There were bound to be people who would willingly betray the very hands that fed them for so benefits. Such people were actually quite common in the real world, with many of them often getting away with it.
After all, talks like justice and karma finding you were just pipeful words conjured by others who wanted to deceive themselves.
"Ugh, I just get mad that they are willing to side with the Colossuses. I’ve sent them all to our town’s jail, but they’ll be released soon." She pursed her lips.
Her aning was fairly simple.
Once the jail duration was over, they’d be freed to spread the intel they discovered to the Colossuses.
"Do you have evidence of them committing the cri, as I told you to keep a record of?" He pinched in between her nose and asked.
Such an intimate act caused Carn to react slightly in embarrassnt.
Hence, she nodded lightly and retrieved the evidence for him.
They needed this kind of evidence anyway to justify the usage of the prison cell. Otherwise, the Divine World System would deny them and possibly even fine them for abusing their authority.
"Haha, it seems like you really forgot about my wording." Xu Feng inspected the evidence and laughed heartily.
"What did I forget?" Carn raised an eyebrow in confusion. When she heard no response from him, she pouted and grabbed his collar.
Afterward, she planted a kiss on his lips. "Paynt fee delivered. Now, tell ."
Ever since the two had established a relationship, she realized he had been wanting so sweet words or monts in exchange for an answer to her doubts and inquiries.
Although it sounded like a loss at first glance since she always received them for free, she didn’t mind him being clingy for her love. In fact, she quite enjoyed this kind of childish mont from Xu Feng, who often appeared way too mature for his age.
"I’ve told you to detain these suspects in our town’s jail first and then send the evidence to the authorities from the Aetheria Empire." He chuckled heartily.
Realization quickly dawned upon Carn.
She had rembered about the jail part, but forgotten about the authorities part.
After all, jailing them could be considered doing the authority part.
"Hehe, I was just absent-minded because of how despicable they were." She stuck her tongue out and acted coyly.
"So do I report to the authorities and send them this evidence?"
"Already done."
The mont Xu Feng received the evidence from Carn, he had already used his Viscount authority to the authorities.
These players were destined to have their reputation sink and achievent stripped, plus whatever good rapport they had with NPCs belonging to humanity.
He had no hesitation in bringing these players’ characters into ruin. After all, they chose to ss with him first.
Currently, his Haven Wind Town was situated at an important post. If the Colossuses were to succeed in invading his town and take over it, then the consequences would be unimaginable.
Moreover, he had made preventive asures to block off anyone from copying the map layout or even taking notes to send to the enemies.
Hence, if they still managed to have such intel, it ant they weren’t innocent at all.
"By the way, what were you doing earlier?" Carn changed the topic and asked curiously. She had noticed quite a few potions were out on the desk, but didn’t address them earlier because she wanted to vent her frustration first.
