Capítulo 1288: Global Manhunt Part 12
‘Alright, I’m the insane one here.’ Carn was flabbergasted when the collective players were adamantly defending the actual impostor.
The lies Xu Feng spouted, they all believed without a hint of suspicion.
But the truth he spouted, they all refused to believe it and even claid him to be slandering innocent people.
If Peterson were still alive and witnessed this scene, then he might just log out of the Divine World for eternity.
There had never been such an injustice before!
“What now, Guild Leader?” Carn turned to Xu Feng and inquired.
“They not only refuse to believe you, but they seem even more agitated that you’re slandering their goddess.”
“Then let them be agitated.” Xu Feng was amused.
He knew speaking the truth would result in such circumstances, but he didn’t expect the scale to be this big.
Needless to say, the more agitated his enemies beco, the easier it would be for them to repel their advance.
No agitated people could make a prompt and logical judgnt in the snap of a finger. They were prone to being impulsive and acting without a plan in mind whatsoever.
Soti later, players indeed started to ascend the mountain.
They couldn’t use flight or teleportation spells within this region.
Xu Feng was able to do so simply because he had already ascended and unlocked the restriction.
After all, it would be ridiculous if players were required to descend in the sa manner that they used to ascend.
“Ti for the next phase, Carn.” Xu Feng raised his hand and gestured for the signal.
Instantly, Carn’s eyes lit up when she could finally be a part of the action.
Phase 1 was all about Xu Feng and his one-man show.
But phase 2 required her voidlings to succeed.
Her voidlings were like transmitters and actuators.
As long as the enemies’ concentration was limited, Carn could discreetly send out her small voidlings to spread among the enemy’s group.
The voidlings, once infiltrated, were destined to disrupt and destroy their coordination.
Without hesitation, Xu Feng gathered everyone’s attention by urging Zhang Jingyi to return to their side.
“Peaceful Joy, that’s enough of the impostor role. You can co back now and defend the fort here.”
Once again, Xu Feng directly announced Zhang Jingyi’s player na.
However, unlike Peterson, who instantly got labeled as an impostor, Zhang Jingyi beca a person to be protected.
“Hmph, did this bastard think we’ll fall for the sa trick twice?”
“Knowing the beauty’s ga na, this bastard definitely investigated the Tier 2 players before with the help of that traitor Peterson!”
“Rest assured, Peaceful Joy. We won’t allow a scumbag like Lin Feng to deceive us!”
The collective players surrounded Zhang Jingyi as if she were so delicate vase.
The person being protected was flabbergasted.
‘Won’t allow him to deceive you?’ Zhang Jingyi nearly wanted to laugh aloud at the ridiculous situation.
How did a Global Manhunt turn into so sort of impostor play?
The ti wasted was already 20 minutes, and these players seed more intent on figuring out who else was an impostor.
“ENOUGH!” Finally, soone in the crowd shouted and woke everyone up.
“Impostor or not, we’ve wasted enough ti already. Just kill Lin Feng and the rest of the Vanguard Guild mbers! Once they’re dead, we can rejoin the siege team to take over Haven Wind Town for ourselves!”
“You’re right!”
In the blink of an eye, multiple spells were fired toward the mountaintop.
Xu Feng didn’t even get a chance to continuously disrupt their ntality as he was forced to cast a shield to defend himself.
Still, the combination of their attacks had rapidly caused his health points to drop by 40%.
“Hahaha, you got caught!” Carn giggled from the sideline. She had always been positioned in a pri location, avoiding the damage altogether.
“Was it really that funny?” Xu Feng pursed his lips. His vanishing health points quickly recovered.
He wanted to retaliate with his own spells, only to receive a system prompt warning.
[System Notification: You have been silenced for 1 minute!]
‘What the heck??!’ Startled, Xu Feng nearly lost his balance when he was sohow silenced by the enemies. Silence was a fearso debuff that could easily prevent one player from being useful.
As he glanced below and saw how fast they were ascending, Xu Feng knew 1 minute was enough for them to reach their spot. By then, it would beco a struggle to defend.
‘I can’t believe I was this careless.’ He had made sure to set up ample defenses, but they were still breached. Unable to cast anything from his skill tree, Xu Feng could only search for Carn to assist him montarily.
“Anyway, they beca clear-headed again. Care to lend a hand?” He cleared his throat and asked cheekily. He had no intention of being honest, but he blundered and needed her help.
But little did he know, her response was totally different than what he expected.
“Your sowing discord failed, and now you want
to help?” Amused, Carn crossed her arms.
She wasn’t so foolish woman who would be at his beck and call.
The chances were already given, but he refused them adamantly.
Just when she was about to walk away, she found her arm being grasped.
“This counts as sexual harassnt, right?” She turned around and looked at Xu Feng.
“I was wrong.” Xu Feng held his grip and apologized.
“May my Demoness be generous enough to forgive my insolence and lend a hand, please.”
Upon hearing his apology and regretful look, Carn felt satisfied.
‘Hehe, serves you right for acting aloof.’ She sneered inwardly.
The reason why Xu Feng was stuck in a predicant and forced to ask her for help was that she had assisted the enemies with her voidlings.
The silence effect naturally ca from her!
Without silencing him, she was certain that he would never ask her for help.
If so, how could she prove her worth and make Xu Feng understand that she was indispensable? Whether it was his career in the Divine World or the real world, she was the only one who could support him.
‘Don’t bla
for pulling so dirty tricks, Feng. A woman will also do whatever they can to pursue their love just like n.’
