Chapter 1289: Global Manhunt Part 13
While Xu Feng remained clueless that his silence was attributed to Carn, he could only admit defeat.
"I was silenced by the enemies." He took a deep sigh.
"The others are already busy defending their side, so we can’t afford the breach to be here."
"Silenced?" Carn’s body jolted, and she acted in surprise. "The enemies actually managed to silence you?"
"Yeah, I don’t know how they managed to breach through my formation. There’s only a small margin of error that would cause
to be silenced."
Xu Feng clicked his tongue, feeling like he had just swallowed a mouthful of maggots.
He never anticipated the enemies to be this advanced.
To think they managed to catch on to that small margin of error and caused him to suffer such a humiliating event.
While Xu Feng felt like crap for underestimating the enemies, Carn sweated secretly.
She initially wanted to reveal the truth. But seeing his reaction, she no longer had the courage to speak up.
’No, Feng will definitely punish
heavily if I expose that it was .’ Carn could never expose herself. Otherwise, she feared for the worst.
Needless to say, she knew the only redemption was to clear out the ss.
In the blink of an eye, Carn triggered the voidlings and targeted those who were close to reaching the mountain.
KABOOM!
A deadly explosion was created, and Carn activated flight to open nurous void portals.
"Co forth, my voidlings! It’s ti for a feast!"
"Careful!"
"It’s the Demoness!"
"Shit, what dogshit luck is this? Why did we have to head toward the one where the Demoness was at?"
Almost imdiately, the enemies lost their montum and motivation to continue ascending the mountains. They were completely startled by the appearance of Carn.
After all, Carn had been concealing her presence throughout the duration.
It wasn’t until Xu Feng requested her help that she finally revealed herself to the public.
And sure enough, the effect was instantaneous!
Many players began to tuck their tails and flee.
None of them wishes to stay longer in the presence of Carn.
The sa goes for the newly promoted Tier 2, who reacted as if they were a mouse that stumbled across a cat.
"Hell no! I ain’t fighting with this Demoness!"
"Those who wish to die can remain. I ain’t dying here!"
"Fuck this area. It’s dood!"
As players continued to run away, Carn didn’t let them go easily.
"Isn’t it too late to run now?" Carn snickered coldly. She extended her palm and clenched it tightly.
Soon, the voidlings that had secretly attached themselves to the players began to glow brightly.
With the bright illumination, the players who found themselves having a voidling right next to them trembled in fear.
"No, when did this voidling get to ?" They screeched and hoped to remove the voidling.
So even begin to activate all their buff and defensive tools.
Alas, none of their effort was effective.
After all, the people whom Carn chose were all Tier 1.
In the face of Tier 2, all those beneath it were no different than ants!
"Next ti, maybe you shouldn’t choose to target us," Carn smirked coldly and detonated the voidlings.
"No, spare ! I was wrong!"
"I never wanted to be enemies with the Demoness, only the Vanguard Guild!"
"Are you stupid? The Vanguard Guild and the Demoness are one!"
Screams of agony spread all across the region!
Elsewhere, the players who were focusing on Blue Star’s group heaved a deep sigh of relief.
"Phew, the Demoness isn’t on this side."
"Indeed, thank god we didn’t head toward there."
"Only two players are over there. I just knew it was going to be so tough nuts. Truly, only a retard would think that was the easier choice."
While this side of the area was feeling more confident now that they realized their deepest fear wasn’t present, their action beca bolder.
As for Blue Star, she was in a terrible mood.
’Damn it, why was the Guild Commander exposed this early?’ All along, they had been banking on the ’unknown’ factor to deter their enemies from acting too boldly.
Now it was just great!
Everyone knew where Carn was situated, so now they were destined to suffer an unstoppable onslaught to eliminate them.
A few minutes later, Blue Star, Dark Night, and the other players who made their own team suffered a disastrous bout.
They were still Tier 1 players, so any enemies with a Tier 2 on their side had effectively tilted the situation to their favor.
"A Tier 2 player is actually this fearso..." Blue Star smiled bitterly when Kailey succumbed to her death after defending her.
Besides Kailey, the rest of her mbers had also fallen. They were all rendered useless because of the Tier 2 Gunner on the enemy side.
She was also a Gunner, but the differences between them were truly vast.
"You should be grateful that you only t
this ti." The Tier 2 Gunner sneered, their hands holding a unique pistol as they pulled the trigger.
Blue Star could only gnash her teeth as she watched the bullet pierce through her multiple defensive barriers.
She didn’t bother running because the bullet was tracing-kind. In other words, they would follow her no matter where she ran.
Though it wouldn’t matter much if she tried to run anyway. They were in the open field at the mountaintop, so there were no obstacles that could tank the tracing bullet for her.
’Less than 10 minutes had gone by...’ Blue Star collapsed to the ground and found her previous statent laughable. Her Guild Leader’s side was able to stall for more than 20 minutes, but she, on the other hand, couldn’t even endure for more than 10 minutes.
The disparity between Tier 1 and Tier 2 was massive.
Maybe the only grateful factor was that the dropped loot wasn’t in their inventory.
[Party System: Player Blue Star has been killed by Player ShooterRex! The Death Penalty has been applied!]
With the party notification sent to surviving mbers, Xu Feng’s eyes gradually turned cold.
’ShooterRex, huh. You’d better pray we don’t et.’ He clenched his fist as he received news of the Blue Star team being wiped out.
