Reincarnated as a Novel's Villain: Creator of Curses and Blessings Chapter 38: Kain Zeph
"Done!"
A faint clanging sound rang out as Hector slowly slid the pure black sword back into its sheath.
It felt kind of badass to him at that mont. He glanced at the body, covered in thousands of shadow cuts, bleeding nonstop.
Verda’s severed head lay beside his body. His hollow eyes stared at the sky, filled with a hundred questions—why?
Soon, the corpse slowly dissipated into the void.
Hector spat and turned his attention to the energy tower. He walked toward it, then casually swung a mana slash, cutting the tower in half.
[Congratulations! Your team is the winner!]
[You will be sent to the second match.]

After opening his eyes again, he found himself back in his territory.
Hector yawned and looked up at the night sky once more. Then he checked his mana.
"Sure enough, my mana isn’t recovering. That ans I’ll have to rely on what I have for the remaining two matches. Lucky for , I haven’t summoned Aharok yet. That thing consus a massive amount of mana. Using it just to deal with so scum would be a waste."
"Hey, you fucking bastard!" Tammy shouted in anger, storming toward Hector with a furious expression.
"Fuck you! Where were you when I told you to hunt the monster?" Tammy roared, throwing a punch at Hector.
The next mont, Tammy scread in pain. Tears welled up in his eyes as he stared at the severed hand lying on the ground.
[30/100%]
But then, his hand quickly materialized and returned to its original state.
"Tsk. You talk too much." Hector vanished in a blink and appeared right in front of Tammy. He grabbed him by the throat, choking him until he convulsed in agony.
"I’m warning you—this is the first and last ti." Hector’s eyes glead coldly as he tossed Tammy aside like a piece of trash.
’’Don’t piss off.’’
Hector spat and glared at Tammy one last ti before walking away.
"So, you’ve destroyed the enemy’s tower, have you?" Roy asked.
Hector nodded.
Roy shrugged and brushed back his hair.
"You don’t look like the rumors. You’re pretty strong. Is there a reason you’re hiding your power?"
Hector smirked.
"I’m not hiding at all. It’s just better this way. Everyone underestimates , and I finish them off in a single strike."
Roy nodded and glanced at the runes above Hector’s head. Indeed, he was impressed by Hector’s performance.
To compensate for his low mana cores, Roy figured Hector must have a high-tier blessing or possess genius-level swordsmanship.
"Defeating soone with six mana cores without taking any damage—that’s sothing to be proud of. If you were the leader, I wouldn’t have any complaints."
Hector just shrugged. He didn’t even notice Roy’s flattery.
Roy raised an eyebrow and said,
"That bastard is pretty useless. He’ll be a burden—might even drag our team down. What do you think about... killing him?"
Roy glanced at Tammy, who was punching a rock to vent his frustration. In Roy’s eyes, Tammy’s earlier actions didn’t deserve forgiveness.
Hector said, "I’ll make use of him. Don’t worry."
While resting and waiting for the announcent from the runes, Hector and Roy began to get along. At the sa ti, they shared so of their abilities and started setting up a plan for the next match.

Second Match: Team 13 vs Team 30
Team #: 13
–
[Kain Zeph/ 7 green mana cores]
[Samson Francis/ 6 green mana cores]
[Valda Wilda/ 6 green mana cores]
–
"FUCK! Again!" Tammy groaned, staring at the runes in front of him.
anwhile, Roy rubbed his chin.
"Two 6- and one 7-mana cores individually. Moreover, one of them is a mber of the Great Clan."
Roy looked at Hector.
"Do you know Kain? You’re also a mber of the Great Clan. I guess you know her."
Hector tsked.
"I know her very well. After all, she was one of the maids serving my old fiancée."
Roy bared his golden-plated teeth, dazzling Hector’s eyes .
"So... that’s good news."
Hector sighed and shook his head slightly.
"No, it’s the opposite. I’ve molested her a lot in the past. She must hate to the core."
Roy frowned. "Oh, you’re either a true player or a perverted bastard."
"Now, it’s just the past.’’ Hector said.
Roy smirked and tapped Hector’s shoulder.
"It’s your karma. But don’t worry, money will solve everything."
After chatting for a few minutes, they began discussing their plan.
"I think they will set up a simple plan like the previous team. They’ll leave one to protect the tower, and the other to head over our territory."
Hector nodded.
"If our enemy is another team..."
Roy rubbed his chin.
"You an... that maid?"
"That’s right. She’ll co to our territory first, and alone."
Roy tilted his head slightly.
"Seems like you must’ve done sothing worse than normal molesting to make her hate you this much."
Hector nodded and let out a sad sigh.
"It’s kinda like that."
This body had done a lot of dirty work in the past. He didn’t even want to imagine all the filthy things in his mory anymore.
Kain... Hector had molested her a lot back then, yet she barely reported anything to Violet. She wanted to protect Hector’s reputation as a good fiancé.
In other words, she had protected Violet’s reputation. She didn’t want anyone to know Violet loved a perverted, scummy guy.
Of course, Hector hadn’t done anything truly serious to Kain—just so teasing.
"So, at least, our tower won’t get destroyed until you get tortured by your beloved second wife," Roy said, scratching his head in bitterness.
Hector smirked.
"If we know their plan, everything becos easy."
Roy’s eyes brightened.
"Don’t tell you’re going to beat her."
Hector chuckled.
"That’s wishful thinking. She’s one of my old fiancée’s underlings... even from a Great Clan. She’s way stronger compared to ordinary students with 7 mana cores. If I reach 5 mana cores, maybe... I’ll have a small chance to defeat her."
Hector glanced at the tower and smiled.
"We’ll upgrade the tower."
In the next mont, he cut his thumb, letting a drop of blood fall to the ground.
Hector began to trigger his curse [Blood of predator]
"Prepare your items... a lot of monsters will gather here."
