Alia massaged her forehead as she tried to cut so potatoes at the side of the tent, doing her best to appear unfazed and unbothered by the presence of the man who was hiding beside the tent, out of everyone’s gaze and reach but positioned perfectly to irritate her.

They were currently on top of one of the mountains in the Blue Hue Forest, as part of their college trip.

So people were busy setting up tents for the night to sleep in after a tiring trek. The alphas and betas were responsible for hunting and gathering wood, while the girls attended to other chores.

Alia was given the job of slicing the potatoes, and the man who ca silently, uninvited, was trying his best to annoy her.

"Seriously, don’t you have anything better to do than roam around ? Don’t you have so rogue thing to do?" Alia hissed, forcing a smile on her face as she looked at the passerby.

Kyle chuckled at her words.

He leaned closer to her, enough to pinch her waist from behind.

"Rogue thing to do? And what is that supposed to an? Do you know what rogues do?" He asked.

Alia turned with a glare at him.

"How would I know? Go attack so packs or trouble so alpha, I don’t know," She said before realising her words sink in.

She was going to be the Luna Queen. How could she say such words so casually?

Kyle didn’t react imdiately. He knew she would realise it soon.

Alia licked her bottom lip. Grayson’s words were still haunting her thoughts, and she was yet to confront Kyle about it.

"So...uh... do you drink blood?" She asked after a drawing silence.

To say Kyle was surprised by her sudden statent would be an understatent.

"Well... it surely tasted good. You should try it sotis," Kyle mused.

"No thanks," Alia snapped at him before she washed her hands and grabbed the large plate of chopped potatoes.

She was about to walk when suddenly strong hands wrapped around hers, and her heart skipped a beat.

She looked up at the man, and her pupils dilated.

"What are you doing here?" She nearly exclaid, looking behind herself.

Seeing no one behind her, she heaved a sigh of relief before gulping.

"What? Can’t I join my wife on a trip?" Cyrus whispered under his breath before taking the platter of potatoes from her hand.

"King Cyrus, what a pleasant surprise," one of the teachers who had heard he was there from a student rushed to the site.

He quickly asked one of the students to take the plate from the King. How could they even dare to make him do any work?

"Well, I have never been on any university trips due to work. I wondered what it would be like. When my royal healer told she was going on one, I was mildly curious and couldn’t help myself," Cyrus said.

Alia blushed when she felt his hot gaze on her.

"What a pleasant thought, sir. You are most welco here. We will make necessary arrangents for you," Professor Dan said.

Alia bowed to Cyrus in respect before trying to leave, but before she could move, Cyrus held her hand.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

Alia gulped, looking around helplessly.

Why was he acting like that? They weren’t supposed to appear intimate outside like this, not until their relationship was announced.

"I don’t know anyone here. Won’t you keep company?" He asked.

He didn’t even bother to look at anyone else, and seeing his blue eyes full of emotions, Alia’s hand twitched.

How much she wanted to raise her hand, caress his cheeks, ruffle his hair, intertwine their fingers, and watch the sunset together.

She chewed her bottom lip.

"Won’t you?" He asked again, almost like a child this ti, and Alia felt her heart ache slightly with budding emotions.

Was it possible to fall in love all over again?

"I..." She looked at Professor Dan for permission.

The man, who had frozen initially, quickly clapped his hands.

"You should stay here with the King since he is familiar with you. Don’t go anywhere. You have collected enough herbs already, haven’t you?" The professor said, and Alia nodded.

Fabian, who had been to God knows where, walked to them, panting heavily as he looked at his boss with a wronged expression.

"Sir, how could you–" Fabian blinked furiously.

Seeing his face covered in soil, Alia’s brows furrowed, and she quickly walked forward to offer her handkerchief to the man.

"Mr. Fabian, what happened? Are you alright?" She asked.

The man almost felt like crying when she asked him about his well-being so softly.

He took the handkerchief before hugging Alia, making her widen her eyes in shock.

"Your king is so an to . He left at the bottom of the bill. At the bottom! I was just saying how lovely it would be if we trekked a little too. I had to co all the way here on foot. And that’s not all, he gave a ti limit to reach here or he would cut my paycheck," Fabian complained.

Alia looked at Cyrus, whose brows were quirked, his eyes dark, promising nothing good if she didn’t push Fabian imdiately, and the girl swallowed hard.

"Umm...why don’t you rest a little?" Alia pushed Fabian before dusting her clothes awkwardly.

"King Cyrus, would you like to watch the sunset?" Alia practically held the man’s hand and pulled him away so he wouldn’t bully the poor subordinate out of jealousy.

What she didn’t know was that Cyrus wasn’t the only man who felt jealous enough to throw Fabian from the mountain.

Kyle fisted his hand. The only man he could ever hear around Alia was Cyrus. He didn’t even know the reason why it was like that. How dare this re subordinate hug his mate?

He walked to the other side when he saw Fabian going to wash his feet and mouth.

He saw the man applying so soap on his face and smirked.

Kyle looked around for so ti, and when he didn’t see anyone looking, he pushed the man slightly.

Fabian’s eyes widened, and soap got into them before he rolled down the hill.

It wasn’t fatal. He just rolled a few tres, but it was enough to make the man groan in pain.

Alia, who was taking Cyrus to the other side to show the sunset, heard his groan of pain and was about to turn to check if he was okay when Cyrus held her hand.

"You take one more step, and I wouldn’t shy away from taking you here and now against this tree. The scenery is beautiful," Cyrus threatened her.

His voice was cold and deep, the dominance laced in his tone paired with his blue eyes making it impossibly hard for her to oppose him.

"You an you’re seriously hopeless," Alia said.

Cyrus smirked at her words.

"Oh, that’s not true. We do have hope. We have hope in many things," He said as he pulled her to the farthest place.

He pulled her onto the large stone, careful enough not to let go of her hand as she sat beside him.

They couldn’t see it completely. However, the pinkish hue spreading across the sky, accompanied by a view of the entire city, was still enchanting to see.

Who were they kidding? It was their presence, their fingers intertwined, that made it look so beautiful.

"Can I ask you sothing?" Alia suddenly asked.

Cyrus looked at her, giving his woman his undivided attention.

"The visit to the Gypsy was rescheduled because she wasn’t available, and we will go to et her tomorrow. If things turned a bit ugly with . Like if she said I am cursed or sotis it’s wrong with , will you let go?" She asked.

Cyrus didn’t answer imdiately.

He looked at her for a few seconds before shifting his gaze to the sky.

"What do you see out there?" He asked.

Alia followed his gaze, confused by his question.

"I see the sky," She said.

Cyrus rolled his eyes at her blatant answer. She wasn’t soone who would look deep into things.

He shook his head. He let go of the idea of saying sothing philosophical. It was pointless. His woman was quite simple and would prefer simple statents.

Besides, what was more important was how much he was willing to fulfill rather than just promising.

"You stupid girl. Nothing would be wrong with you. As long as your pussy is working fine, I think I can take anything," Cyrus said.

As soon as the words left his mouth, he widened his eyes.

He looked at Alia, and judging from her shocked expression, he knew he indeed said those words.

But that wasn’t what he wanted to say.

"Sylas, your bastard!" Cyrus growled in his head at his wolf, who was rolling in laughter at their shocked expression.

What? You guys get so serious easily. Live a little. Sylas grinned while Alia stood, her cheeks on fire as she practically ran back to camp, making the man groan.

You are a pain in my ass. Have I ever told you that? Cyrus sighed before standing.
