"I’ll make things work,"

Kyle’s words echoed in Alia even when she sat at the table in a high-end restaurant, her favourite food lying before her.

"You don’t like it?" Grayson asked, snapping Alia out of her thoughts.

"I like it. I was just wondering what it was that you wanted to talk to about that you didn’t even allow King Cyrus to join the dinner," Alia said.

Grayson nodded.

It was apparent the girl would be worried about that. After all, she was the first person he had demanded a separate eting with, right after returning from that mysterious trip about which no one in the family knew.

"Before starting about that, I just wanted to apologise to you one more ti for what happened last night. I know Dominic has his evil way of doing things. When he gets his eyes on sothing, it’s hard for him to let go. That was one reason why I crowned Sebastian," Grayson added.

Alia took one piece of the stead bun before dipping it in chilly sauce and eating it.

"I think I expressed myself enough last night," She said.

Grayson nodded at her words before he took a deep breath.

Honestly speaking, even when he knew a hint of what was going on, he still didn’t know how to approach the matter and ask Alia the question that might offend her a little.

"So, uhh... are you seeing soone?" Grayson asked.

Alia nearly choked on her food when she heard his question.

Her pupils dilated as she looked at the man. What was this question even supposed to an?

Did he have a spy following her? And did they discover anything about Kyle? She indeed crossed a line with Kyle on the terrace, and if soone was spying, they were so lost in each other that she didn’t even feel anyone’s gaze or notice anything suspicious.

Alia didn’t say anything imdiately. She knew she needed to approach this question carefully, or she might end up exposing Kyle to danger. Besides, there were quite good chances that the man probably didn’t even know if it was true or who the man was.

"Are you talking about King Cyrus?" Alia asked.

Grayson shook his head.

"He is your husband. I know that you love him deeply and have vowed your loyalty to him. Apart from him, are you seeing soone?" He asked.

Alia hardened her gaze.

"Are you suspecting of sothing?" She asked.

Grayson, afraid that Alia would take his words wrongly, imdiately shook his head.

"That’s not what I ant, dear. Rember when I told you I was quite close to Gloria?" He asked.

Alia didn’t respond, and as she sat like this, the man sighed.

"I am sorry. It’s my fault for starting the topic in this way. Let start over," Grayson said.

He then started to tell her how he felt a little off when he saw Cyrus’s mark, the one she had given him.

The mark, which was only supposed to have one or two wolves at most, depending on whether she would find any in the future, wasn’t quite normal.

Alia furrowed her brows when she heard that.

"The mark is not normal?" She asked.

Grayson nodded.

"The mark has fangs. They are quite faint and not visible unless one looks carefully and traces the pattern. Do you know what it ans?" The man asked.

Alia shook her head, feeling a bit confused.

"There are two anings behind this mark. Either you will find a wolf in the future, and that would be white. Or..." Grayson trailed off.

The way the man looked at her with an unsure expression, Alia nibbled her fingers nervously.

"Or?" She probed, her heart thumping against her chest.

"Or you’ll have one more man in your life with a white wolf, and he will be a hybrid. That’s why I asked you if you were seeing soone else. From the faint fangs, it’s possible that the man has already appeared in your life and you are unaware of it," Grayson said.

Alia felt stuck in her place, her body freezing as her mind processed all those words one by one.

"So are you saying I will have two husbands?" She asked.

Grayson thinned his lips.

"I know it’s a bit too much for a werewolf to handle. This is quite complicated. Only Cyrus’s acceptance of the bond will decide whether you’ll have one or two husbands. He is a King after all. Never in history has an Alpha King ever shared his Luna with anyone," Grayson said.

Alia nodded in understanding.

That was one thing that always kept her aware of her boundaries and what she shouldn’t cross with Kyle.

However, today she danced on the edge of that boundary, and she suddenly felt incredibly guilty.

"Do you know any such man? Any man that you feel attracted to?" Grayson asked.

Alia looked at the man’s urgent eyes. She wanted to tell him about Kyle, but for so reason, her heart told her she shouldn’t.

What if they try to kill Kyle to eliminate him from her life so Cyrus wouldn’t have to share?

She would rather avoid Kyle and leave his life than see him die because of her. It wasn’t his fault that he got a mate like her.

"Not at the mont," Alia said.

Grayson sighed dejectedly.

That wasn’t the only thing that the Gypsy said to him.

He looked at the girl, feeling sad for her past life.

These two n in her life were supposed to care for her and give her all the love that they snatched away from her in her last life, but what was more important was for her to realise her worth.

"She doesn’t know who she is. Only the mark of the real love on her body would sing those siren songs that would light up the scripts and unlock the greatest powers alive,"

That was what that Gypsy had said.

"I heard Cyrus was talking about looking for so kind of mage. Do you feel uncomfortable sowhere?" Grayson changed the topic.

Alia nodded.

"There’s sothing wrong with indeed. I see these weird visions about a girl being burnt, stone-pelted at, and cursed by two different species. I dream of strange, cloaked figures chanting rituals. And last night, I almost felt like I saw a reflection of myself standing in the shadow, teleporting around," Alia said honestly.

Though she knew she couldn’t share the details about Kyle with him yet, she wanted to tell him about these things since he had ntioned eting a Gypsy.

Alia had read in the history books that Gypsies were renowned wanderers who could look into a person’s past and see what was bothering them.

Maybe if she laid out her problem to the man, he would help her.

"I know a person who can help you. My assistant has already contacted them, and I told Cyrus to take you there tomorrow," Grayson said.

A smile imdiately appeared on Alia’s face when she heard him.

"Thank you for all the help. I am truly blessed to have an elder like you," She said.

Grayson smiled bitterly.

"Amora can be tough at tis. I know she has been a bit upfront about the Queen trials, but please don’t hold it against her. She is just following customs. Besides, she still thinks that you are a little weak to lead on Cyrus’s side. It’s not just about personal opinion but the entire kingdom," Grayson added.

Alia was about to tell the man that he didn’t need to worry about that. She knew the forr Luna was looking for the kingdom and family. She didn’t hate her.

However, before she could utter a word, Grayson looked behind her and sighed.

"Why did I even think I would be able to kidnap you from your husband? He has beco a lovesick puppy now," Grayson muttered.

Alia turned to follow his gaze and saw Cyrus walking towards her in slow yet powerful strides.

His overcoat flapped against his thighs as he walked, his blue eyes narrowed and sharp.

However, his gaze softened when their eyes t, and she smiled.

She stood from her seat as soon as he reached there.

"Why did you stand? Keep sitting," He said softly, wiping the little oil from her lips affectionately.

"To welco the king," Alia said.

Cyrus shook his head at her words.

"What was taking you so long? You’ve been eting for over an hour. I hope you are not filling her ears with so negative things about to scare her," Cyrus narrowed his brows at his grandfather.

Grayson scoffed at him.

"I just wanted to spend so quality ti with my first granddaughter-in-law. Is that a bad thing?" He said defensively.

Cyrus looked between Alia and Grayson, knowing they had discussed sothing that none of them would ntion to him, and humd.

"Anyway, I am starving. Let’s dig in," Cyrus said.

Alia smiled and pretended to start eating, too happy with his presence, but in honesty, her mind was still focused on Grayson’s words.

Another man could be a hybrid.

Does that an Kyle was...

She licked her lips.

She was supposed to have two husbands. The thought suddenly made her feel a little dirty. Not because she hated the idea of having two n, but because of how much she wanted it
