The next day, as soon as Luo Qiao arrived at the inpatient departnt, she asked about the availability of beds for the day.
The head nurse curiously asked, "Director Luo, why are you asking about the beds?"
Luo Qiao didn’t hide anything: "A relative is coming to see a doctor. They’ll probably arrive in Capital City before noon. I just wanted to check so I can have a sense of the situation. I wouldn’t want to cause trouble for you all."

Just then, the other doctors arrived as well, and they began their routine ward rounds for the day.
A little past ten in the morning, Luo Qiao received a call from Guan Yuqi: "Sis, I’ve already picked up my uncle. We should be at the hospital in about half an hour."

After hanging up, Guan Yuqi arranged for her uncle, aunt, and father to get into the taxi she had booked earlier.

As Guan Yuqi helped her uncle store the luggage and got into the car, she replied, "She said she’ll et us at the main entrance."

As she stepped outside, she imdiately spotted a taxi pulling up and saw Guan Yuqi sitting inside.

Guan Yuqi noticed Luo Qiao as well: "Sis, I’ve really troubled you."

Guan Yuqi quickly made introductions for everyone: "Sis, this is Dad, and these are my uncle and aunt."

Guan Anshan looked at Luo Qiao and said, "We’ve truly brought you trouble."

Luo Qiao first brought them to her office, reviewed Guan Anping’s dical records and previous examination results, and then arranged for soone to assist Guan Anshan and Zhao Dayan with the registration procedures.
Left in the office were only Guan Yuqi and Guan Anping.

Guan Anping hadn’t expected that they would even consider saving him money—not only skipping repeat tests but also arranging the surgery so quickly. He glanced gratefully at his niece and then turned to Luo Qiao, saying, "I can’t thank you enough."
Luo Qiao handed him the dical records and test results: "Keep these safe. In the afternoon, go make copies of these since we’ll need to keep a set on file here."
By the ti they were finished, the others who had gone to handle the formalities returned with Guan Anshan and Zhao Dayan.
