Chapter 1095: Chapter 1095: You’re Really Sothing

Lu Yichen got off work and took his wife and daughter back to the Luo Family. Luo Qiao brought back popcorn, rice puffs, and roasted soybeans, which the children all really liked.

Today, the Luo family gathered once again, essentially to see Luo Qiao off. Everyone raised their glasses to wish her smooth sailing and a quick return after completing her studies.

Luo Daoren put down his glass, “Qiaoqiao, in a few days you’ll be leaving the country. This trip will be at least six months to a year long. It’s a great distance away, and if anything happens, we won’t be able to help you imdiately. You must take good care of yourself.”

Luo Qiao looked at her entire family; her eyes beca moist. Ever since she returned to the Luo Family, aside from her mother who couldn’t quite wrap her head around things, everyone treated her very well. Over the years, their affection had grown deeper and she had co to think of them as her own family.

Upon hearing her grandfather’s words, her heart truly didn’t want to leave everyone behind, “Don’t worry, whenever there’s a long holiday, I will co back to see everyone. You all know my learning ability. Who knows, I might be able to finish a three-year course in two years. I’ll strive to get my degree and return ho as soon as possible.”

After everyone finished eating, they sat together and talked about work and studies.

Zhou Guifang kept telling Luo Qiao what to do after going abroad, truly a litany of admonitions and instructions, fearing that her granddaughter would find it hard to adjust in a foreign land.

Luo Qiao didn’t find her annoying at all and listened to her grandmother with a gentle smile.

Luo Xuyan leaned in, “Grandma, don’t worry. I’ll be going abroad for a performance in the second half of the year, and I’ll make ti to visit my sister.”

Luo Xuyuan chid in, “Grandma, Xiao Ya and I were planning to take a trip abroad this year. I’ll coordinate with Big Brother so there will always be soone with her, that should put you at ease.”

Zhou Guifang felt sowhat comforted upon hearing this.

Geng Yanqiu smiled, “Grandma, fortunately, I have a few classmates studying for their doctorates at the business school in Boston. I’ll give them a call and ask them to take good care of Qiaoqiao.”

Zhou Guifang grinned, “That’s wonderful, having acquaintances to look out for her is great.”

Luo Haotian ca over and handed Luo Qiao an envelope, “Qiaoqiao, there’s nothing much dad can help you with, and I know you’re not strapped for cash, but I wasn’t sure what else to give you. Take this money, it’s just a small token from dad.”

Luo Qiao imdiately laughed, “Dad, have you been saving up again and taken it all out?”

Luo Haotian was reluctant to let his daughter go. Although they often didn’t spend much ti together, knowing she was in Capital City and close by was comforting. The thought of her flying to the other side of the world suddenly made his heart ache.

“Dad, I’ll co back whenever I have a holiday. You know I can handle myself, so don’t worry. Your daughter will study hard and aim to master the advanced dical practices from abroad, to serve our country and make you proud.”

“Good, dad believes in you. Take care of yourself out there.”

Then, a few brothers also ca over intending to give her red envelopes, but Luo Qiao declined, “I know you all love and want to express your feelings, I appreciate it.”

Luo Siyuan, supporting Geng Yanqiu, sat down, “You accepted dad’s money, why not ours? Why can’t you treat us all equally?”

Luo Qiao laughed, “Who else can I be but dad’s daughter?”

At that mont, Lu Yichen ca over, “Qiaoqiao understands everyone’s kind intentions. Having your care and love is enough.”

These past few days he had been very anxious. He had just called, and the list was confird. There were four comrades going, and he was one of them. However, they needed to complete a week of training before departure.

Regardless, he had secured a spot. Even though he couldn’t be by her side all the ti, he would mostly be staying in Boston, not too far from her.

Just then, Luo Jiayue ran over, “Ay, cousin brother, cousin sister, your love is enough for her. Why not use the money to look after your other cousin here, I really need it.”

Luo Xuyuan was amused by his cousin sister’s behavior, “Tell us, what do you need the money for?”

Luo Jiayue was cute and her smile seed sweet, “Cousin brothers, I’m learning the violin at school with a senior. Niu Xiaoi from our residential compound attends the sa university as I do. The other day, one word led to another and I ended up bragging in the heat of the mont.

But violins are really expensive, and with the little money I’ve saved, I can’t even afford a string. Yet I had boasted in front of so many people. Cousin brother, cousin sister, could you possibly help out? If you’re worried, I can sign an IOU.”

Then she added quietly, “Although, I’ll have to pay it back slowly once I start working.”

After finishing speaking, she put her hands together and pleaded pitifully, “Please, help out.”

Seeing her like this made everyone ‘pfft’ with laughter. Luo Xuyuan said, “This habit of bragging isn’t good. What if you make an outrageous claim next ti and we can’t co up with the money, what will you do then?”

As he spoke, he tapped her on the head, “You let yourself be easily provoked and took the bait, you really are sothing else.”
