Chapter 1094: Chapter 1094: Does She Want to See , So I Have to Go?
Leaving the hospital’s family courtyard, before I had even reached where my car was parked, soone stopped , “Excuse , are you Luo Qiao?”
“Yes, what’s up?”
“My family’s old madam would like to see you. Please co with .”
“I don’t even know who your family’s old madam is. Just because she wants to see , I’m supposed to go?”
The visitor was taken aback, not expecting Luo Qiao to respond that way, and replied, “Our family patriarch’s surna is Qiao. When you see her, you can address her as Old Madam Qiao.”
“Really acting as if we’re still in a feudal society, calling her ‘old madam’ and everything. I have other matters to attend to and no ti for this.”
“Hey, what’s wrong with you? Our old madam is waiting.”
Luo Qiao did not care about the Qiao Family or Old Madam Qiao. To her, it was none of her business. She wasn’t soone who just saw anyone, and with such a disrespectful approach, they expected her to take the initiative to make a house call? She must be dreaming.
Luo Qiao directly opened her car door and drove away from the hospital.
By the ti the person from before reacted and chased after her, all they managed to inhale was a big gulp of exhaust, stamping their feet in frustration.
~~~~~~
In the Qiao Family’s yard: “Well, you didn’t manage to bring her here?”
“Back to the old madam, that person was very proud. She said she didn’t have ti and just drove away.”
“That’s unexpected. The person who introduced her said the girl was quite nice. Did you say sothing unpleasant?”
“No, I confird her identity and then ntioned that you, old madam, wanted to et her. But she retorted, ‘I don’t even know who your old madam is, and just because she wants to see , I’m supposed to go?’ Then she simply left.”
Old Madam Qiao frowned and held her forehead, saying, “Since we are the ones asking for her, we definitely need to be more humble. Besides, our family’s situation isn’t like it used to be.
~~~~~~
Luo Qiao drove back and saw people popping popcorn on the roadside. After stopping to ask, she learned that she needed to bring her own corn or soybeans, rice, and line up, with a processing fee of two mao per pot.
Luo Qiao, digging into her pocket—actually pulling them from her space—handed out a few pieces of milk candy to the kids who just answered her, asking them to hold a spot for her while she went ho to get so grains.
The children happily agreed, and only then did Luo Qiao drive on a bit further, finding a safe spot to bring out so corn, soybeans, and rice from thin air, planning to pop a few more pots and share so with the kids.
When she returned, she also bought a pound of sugar from Qianru’s store, thinking of adding it later. She had noticed that most people were using saccharin, but she had heard that wasn’t good for your health if consud in excess, so she chose white sugar instead.
After she ca back, as thanks, she gave each of the children two more pieces of candy. Delighted with the sweets, they cheered and ran off to play but occasionally ca over to chat with Luo Qiao.
There were a few won chatting idly nearby, looking at Luo Qiao as if she were a frivolous spender.
Fortunately, it was soon Luo Qiao’s turn, but she had brought quite a lot of grains. Corn was popped three tis, soybeans three tis, rice three tis. She had prepared enough bags, which filled the back seat.
By the ti she got ho, it was already late, and the two little ones clearly seed a bit upset. Luo Qiao tried to console them, “Yanyan, Yueyue, are you mad at mommy? But mommy lined up to pop popcorn for you. If you don’t like it, then I guess I’ll give it to Little Jun and Er Wa next door.”
As soon as Yanyan heard her mother had popped popcorn, her face suddenly brightened into a sunny smile, “Mommy, then I forgive you. Where’s the popcorn?”
Luo Qiao called Stone and Taifeng to carry the bags inside, and her aunt Gu Qianru ca out and saw so much, “Why did you pop so much?”
Luo Qiao replied with a smile, “I’ll take so to my grandparents’ house tonight. We haven’t seen this stuff for a long ti. I’ll bring so for my nephew and niece, and so for Ran Ran and Hao Hao. It won’t be much after I divide it up.”
Yueyue walked up, “Mommy, I’m sorry, Yueyue was wrong.”
Luo Qiao squatted down, “Mommy was also wrong for not coming back on ti. I should’ve called you in advance. Next ti mommy has sothing to do, I will definitely call and let you know in advance, okay?”
Yueyue suddenly hugged Luo Qiao’s neck, “Okay.”
Yanyan turned her head and saw her sister hugged closely by mommy, then she too pushed her way in, wanting to join. The mother and daughters started frolicking together.
Gu Qianru watched the two little ones who were just acting stubbornly; now they were laughing brightly and innocently, romping around happily with their mother, and she couldn’t help but smile.
