"I suppose I will get sothing out of this," Eveline sighed as she looked at the old photo albums in front of her.
She had used them once to learn more about Jacob because they contained many mories from her past, and she was now confident that these albums would help her overco her restlessness.
Her eyes gleam with joy, tears, and delight as she peruses the pictures further, carrying her mother's mories with her.
Eveline continued to go through each album, from the clear to the one that had beco so old that the photos were blurry, when her eyes caught soone and she paused.
"Who is this child with Grandpa?" She muttered as she looked at the photograph of her grandfather holding a baby in his hand.
Though this is the only picture of him among all the ones, Eveline was aware that the child was not her father at the ti.
An insatiable curiosity spurred her to check if there was another photo of him, so she did. To her dismay, there wasn't, but instead of a photo, she discovered sothing intriguing that made her heart race with anticipation.
"Adoption paper," she whispered. She opened the file carefully, and her jaw dropped when she saw what was inside.
"Jedrick Miller adopted by Mr and Mrs. Gerard and Celine Miller"
Eveline let out a nervous breath as sothing struck her abdon forcefully, twisting her stomach in an odd way.
"Dad does in fact have a brother nad Jedrick. So, does that imply he is also..." She could not finish her sentence because her doubts had not been cleared.
But she was relieved that she could confirm that the person Jedrick was indeed her father's brother and adoptive son to his grandparents, which was enough to raise doubts about his existence until now.
Eveline quickly packed everything and walked away; however, on her way back to her room, she noticed Susan, who appeared to be so preoccupied with her thoughts that she failed to notice her.
"Aunt Susan!" Her loud voice jolted the lady out of her trance, and she looked at her in surprise.
Susan was so caught up in her thoughts that she did not notice Eveline calling.
"Why do you seem to be lost?" Eveline inquired, and she shook her head in denial.
"I am sorry, Young Miss; I just did not see you," she apologized.
"Anyway, Dad inford that you were going to the police station. Why did they call you?" Eveline asked changing the topic.
Susan fell silent as she spoke, her thoughts swaying in contemplation.
"It was a false call," she stated, and Eveline nodded.
"By the way, Aunt Susan, I would like to ask you sothing." Eveline inquired, drawing Susan's attention, and she agreed with a nod.
"How long do you know my family? I an, since your husband and dad were business partners and friends, you must be familiar with my father's family history."
Susan frowned and shook her head at the unexpected question.
"Not entirely because your father rarely discusses it. Yes, I know your mother, but I have never t your grandparents because they died early ," she said.
"But why would you ask about it, Young Miss? Is there anything you are curious about?" Susan inquired, noticing Eveline was up to sothing. This only happens when sothing has piqued her interest.
"I am not sure, but I think my Dad has a brother who he is trying to hide," she said, perplexing Susan.
"Brother?" She reiterated.
"Yes,"
"But he never spoke about it," she added.
"That is why I am thinking about it; my father never ntioned it. But do you rember the card we received that day? It was sent by him," Eveline explained.
Susan paused for a mont and suggested, "Why do not you ask him directly?"
"Because he lied to when I initiated the conversation. So it only concludes that he dislikes talking about anything related to his family."
Eveline would not have hesitated if Jonathan had been truthful, but his lie forced her to investigate this matter on her own.
Susan looked at Eveline with soft eyes and said, "Let us not ask. If your father has kept things away from you, it is best that we avoid touching them. He always has a reason for everything."
Susan looked at Eveline sympathetically and Eveline patted her shoulder in return.
Susan was right in away. Eveline's persistent digging into the past would not be appreciated by her father. If he wants her to know, she will eventually find out. However, if she doesn't, it ans she should not force it.

"I know it is difficult to believe, but Ella has always been like this, first getting into good books with the boss and now connecting with his son on a physical level." The other person said.
"Did you know that her boyfriend abandoned her because she was so preoccupied with work? Who knows in the na of work what she does?"
"I am curious how she has such attractive n wrapped around her finger."
As the ladies continued to defa Ella, the sound of a door banging startled them, and they caught sight of the woman they were catfishing as she walked out.
When her serious eyes scanned them, they paled and gulped in fear.
"Hello, Miss Ella." One of the won greeted Ella awkwardly.
"Miss? So much respect, all of a sudden?" Ella said making her way towards them and they quickly shifted to the side.
