Eveline rose up, leaving the two stunned, and walked out of the room.
"What did she an?" Daniel inquired, staring at Gracey, who could only respond with an angry glance before storming out of the room as well.
Eveline had arrived on the second floor, ready to go to the classroom, when a staff mber invited her to the dean's office because he wanted to et her.
Eveline instantly complied with his words and changed her route to Benjamin's office.
As soon as she ca inside, she was greeted by a police officer and Gabriel, who appeared to be waiting for her.
"Hello, Eveline. Please take a seat," Benjamin replied, referring to the vacant chair next to Gabriel.
Eveline had no idea why she had been called here, but she shifted her focus to Gabriel, who peered at her with an angry expression, leaving her wondering what had caused his attitude to shift so abruptly.
"Sit," she heard him say, and then she ca to his side and sat in the chair.
Eveline then looked at Benjamin, saw him share a glance with the officer, and said, "I know your father suggested we keep you out of this case, but we still need your statent about Alex."
Gabriel's jaw tightened as she aid a glance at Benjamin, who cringed slightly at his furious look.
"She will make her statent and then leave," he remarked, forcing Eveline to stare at him.
She observed his jaw tense and unclench, and his fist tightened, pumping the veins in his arms, as he exuded a deadly aura.
'Was that the only reason he looked so upset?' she thought, before returning her gaze to Benjamin and nodding.
"I'll give my statent," she said.
The officer sighed and exchanged a hesitant look with Benjamin, leading Eveline to mistrust their gaze.
After taking Eveline's statent, the officer left.
"I believe you two should also return to your respective classrooms. Thank you for your cooperation," Benjamin remarked in a thoughtful tone.
Gabriel nodded and held Eveline's hand as they stood up and silently walked out of the Dean's office.
Gabriel's frigid conduct was upsetting her, but before she could say anything, he hauled her to a private spot and pinned her against the wall.
Gabriel instantly towered over her, his eyes gloomy.
"We will stick together and you will keep updating about everything, from what you did, with whom you speak and where you wish to go, everything, tell everything, okay"
Eveline furrowed her brow at Gabriel's obsessive comnts and gently pushed him back, causing him to scowl.
"And why would I do that? Just because I agreed to give you a chance does not imply that you will start controlling . I did not consent to that."
"I am not controlling you." Gabriel almost lost his calm, causing Eveline's eyes to widen, but he regained control and sighed.
"I'm not controlling you, Eve. I rely need to make sure you don't do anything that will get you in trouble."
"And what would get in trouble?" she yelled, forcing his patience to waver as his shoulder shook in wrath and he smashed his hand into the wall beside her.
"Because Alex requested to et you," Gabriel yelled, scaring the snot out of her, but his words soon cald her down as she stared into his furious eyes, which were silently begging with her.
So this was the cause for his coldness.
Eveline was well aware that Gabriel despised the forbidden aspect of her life that Alex represented. He did not hesitate to show his disgust at his constant attempts to warn her. But he needs to recognize that she was mature enough to make her own judgnts. He rely had to trust her rather than pressuring her to comply with him.
Eveline kept her gaze fixed on him, carefully reaching out to cup his face, her thumb tenderly stroking his cheek as she attempted to calm him.
Fortunately, it worked, as his eyes softened and he gradually leaned against her touch.
Eveline had no idea she wielded such influence over Gabriel, taming the beast in him. She agreed with him and promised not to make any mistakes that would cause him to worry.
"Better?" she said, and he nodded, closing his eyes and taking a big breath.
"I apologize. I shouldn't have behaved that way, but I couldn't—" Gabriel sighed and looked helplessly at Eveline.
"You had already scared them inside. Do you think they'll say anything or co for with the request?" Eveline smiled and grabbed Gabriel for a hug.
Her hand stroked his back as he tightened his grip on her, burying his face in the nook of her neck
"I don't know why he wants to et , but I think it's not a bad idea to compel to his request"
Gabriel clenched his jaw and pushed back, casting a hard gaze at Eveline.
"You're going to freeze at this pace. Stop being grumpy for no reason and listen to ." Eveline ignored his surly expression and reveal.
"I learned Tiffany went to et Alex." Gabriel's brow furrowed, and she quickly inford him of everything.
"I am sure she was there to beg him however I doubt that's the only thing?" Eveline expressed her reservations before Gabriel.
She was now free to express herself without restriction, knowing that he would understand her and work with her on it.
Gabriel pondered her remarks as he recalled his father telling him about Alex's parents' plea to negotiate.
