Jian Xi said, "My ho doesn’t welco you. A man who cheats doesn’t deserve to be in my new ho. If you dare provoke again, I’ll go complain to Grandpa."
"Will Grandpa care about you?" Si Yuhuan was unconcerned.
Jian Xi threw out a news headline. "He’ll care about your beloved Miss Jiang Qing."
"You—!" Si Yuhuan was filled with rage.
Jian Xi mocked coldly, "If you’re so heartbroken, then get lost. Otherwise, I’ll really tell Grandpa about all those despicable things you’ve done."
"If you don’t want Grandpa’s life to be in danger because of you, I suggest you be sensible and not provoke my anger."
DING-DONG.
The doorbell rang.
Jian Xi frowned. What’s with today? Why is everyone coming to her new house? It’s so lively.
She went to open the door, thinking it was Wan Yu paying a late-night visit.
But when she opened the door, it was Jiang Qing.
She awkwardly nodded in apology to Jian Xi. "I’m really sorry for the disturbance, but I truly have a very important work issue to discuss with Yuhan. There’s a problem with so artists in the film and television dia company that I can’t handle, so I had no choice but to rush over."
Yuhan, Yuhan. She called him so intimately. Anyone who didn’t know better would think *they* were husband and wife, and *I* was the third wheel.
Jian Xi couldn’t help but roll her eyes. "Yuhan, your mistress is looking for you."
That single sentence made Jiang Qing’s expression shift through a spectrum of colors.
"Miss Jian, I know you dislike , but there’s no need to be so nasty, is there? I’m here to discuss serious business with Yuhan. How does that make a mistress?" she said, weakly leaning against the wall and limping.
Si Yuhuan strode over to support her.
Seeing this, Jian Xi found the sight incredibly jarring and couldn’t help but roar in anger, "Both of you, get out right now!"
Si Yuhuan acted as if he hadn’t heard her, steadying Jiang Qing against the wall and asking, "How do you want to handle this?"
"I said get out!" Jian Xi was beside herself with rage.
Are they deaf or blind? Can’t they see I don’t welco them at all!
"Miss Jian, you’re really acting like a shrew. I thought young ladies from wealthy families were always polite. It’s one thing for you to treat like this, but Yuhan has worked hard all day, and you still treat him this way..."
"He’s my man. I’ll treat him however I want. What business is it of yours? Pointing fingers at soone else’s marriage... It’s the middle of the night, and you show up at my door to talk about work with my husband. Are you that innocent? Are you that polite? Do you have any manners?"
Jian Xi’s verbal assault left Jiang Qing opening and closing her mouth, speechless. Then, her eyes reddened, and tears began to fall again.
"Aren’t you tired of all these tears?"
Jian Xi kicked Si Yuhuan. "Get lost."
Si Yuhuan, not expecting her sudden move, didn’t react in ti and was genuinely kicked out by Jian Xi. The door slamd shut with a BANG, almost hitting his face.
"Yuhan!" Jiang Qing rushed over, frightened, and cupped his face. "Are you okay?"
When she saw a flash of anger in Si Yuhuan’s eyes, she imdiately added fuel to the fire, "Don’t mind Miss Jian. She’s right; it’s my fault. I shouldn’t be so career-driven as to co here and disturb your married life. I... I’ll leave now."
As she said she was leaving, Si Yuhuan grabbed her arm.
A surge of joy welled up in Jiang Qing’s heart.
Then she heard Si Yuhuan say, "I’ll have the driver take you ho."
The driver will take ?
The joy on Jiang Qing’s face instantly froze.
"As for the problem at the film and television dia company, I’ll send soone to resolve it. You just go ho and wait," he said, then turned and stord back into the villa.
Venomous resentnt seeped from Jiang Qing’s eyes.
Si Yuhuan! You’re not really angry and trying to get revenge; it’s clear you’ve already developed feelings for her!
Jian Xi had no interest in watching the white lotus make a scene; right now, she just wanted her world to be quiet.
However, Jiang Qing had just ntioned that the artists were collectively having problems.
Was Wan Yu affected?
She quickly sent a ssage to ask.
Wan Yu replied almost instantly, "Who knows what bug appeared in the new company Si Yuhuan opened for her. Everyone in the industry says Jiang Qing is supposedly best at manipulating people. Normally, these artists should be completely loyal to her, so why did they all run off to cooperate with an overseas company called MG?"
"Going international?"
Wan Yu replied, "It must be."
POUND! POUND! POUND!
The door was locked, and Si Yuhuan couldn’t get in. He could only knock. When Jian Xi continued to ignore him, he began to pound on the door furiously.
"Jian Xi, open the door for !"
He had never been so deaned in his life. Jian Xi was becoming more and more unrecognizable to him; she even dared to kick him. He had to settle this score with her!
CLICK.
Jian Xi opened the door.
Si Yuhuan, who had just been vowing to tear Jian Xi apart, was montarily stunned, his long fingers clenching slightly.
Jian Xi lifted her chin, with the defiance of soone who had nothing left to lose. "Go on, kill then. I don’t want to live anymore anyway."
It was a statent made in a fit of anger.
It further convinced Si Yuhuan that she indeed suffered from depression.
"Calm down," Si Yuhuan explained. "She was just here to talk about work."
"And what about before? How are you going to explain that? eting her late at night, giving her expensive jewelry and haute couture right in front of —you’re barely even trying to hide your affection for her anymore! Can this still be called a misunderstanding? What man just casually gives away companies? You two have clearly crossed the boundary of friendship; it’s more disgusting than actual lovers! It’s blatant emotional cheating!"
"I’ve seen shaless people, but I’ve never seen anyone chase a man to his own ho and try to steal him away under the guise of company business!" As she spoke, her sense of grievance intensified, and her emotions burst forth, unstoppable even by Jian Xi herself. "Don’t you think this marriage is incredibly unfair to ?"
"I used to love you so, so much. I wished I could tear out my heart to show you ’I love you’ written all over it. But now, I’ve had enough. I’m tired, exhausted. I want to live my own life. Why can’t you just let go!"
Jian Xi looked up, disappointnt clear in her eyes. "Just now, you were still unhesitatingly defending her. Do you subconsciously believe I was the one who had her dress cut, causing her to fall down the stairs?"
After the incident, Si Yuhuan had soone investigate. It wasn’t directly related to Jian Xi, but the haute couture dress was indeed damaged. Whose fault it was could no longer be determined. Jiang Qing didn’t pursue the matter, and he hadn’t blad Jian Xi. He just didn’t expect Jian Xi to stubbornly cling to it.
"I never said that. You misunderstood. And ngng doesn’t intend to pursue it any further."
"She won’t pursue it?" Jian Xi scoffed, her laughter tinged with bitterness and anger. "Are all n’s IQs reduced to zero in the presence of a white lotus? Yours must be in the negatives by now! If she actually had a case, do you think she’d let off so easily? That’s rich."
Jian Xi found him increasingly annoying. "Get lost, or don’t bla if I kick you again."
She had just lifted her leg when Si Yuhuan caught it in a swift move. With a slight exertion of force, he pulled her entirely into his embrace.
"Si Yuhuan, let go!" Jian Xi struggled like a cornered hedgehog, shouting, "Help! A burglar! Indecent assault!"
A security guard hurried up, brandishing a large broom. "I’m here!"
