Evelyn Taylor had known for so days that Lily Turner had given birth to a baby, but she had been hesitating at ho, unsure whether she should report to the Linton Family.
These days, watching her parents frequently visit the Linton Family, and often talk about Lily and the baby when they returned ho, she initially felt very uncomfortable listening to them.
Her parents talking so excitedly about soone else, especially when that woman was her romantic rival, anyone would feel uncomfortable hearing it.
However, after listening more and more, she didn’t know whether she had gotten used to it or her mindset had changed; she began not to feel so repelled by her parents’ chatter about Lily, nor did she feel as uncomfortable.
Today, after leaving the Arts Departnt, Evelyn felt an inexplicable urge to visit the Linton Family, and upon arriving, she couldn’t wait to see the adorable little baby her parents spoke of.
Seeing Evelyn appear in front of them not only surprised Lily Turner but also shocked Alia Linton and Harriet White.
"What brings you here?" While the other two were still caught off guard, Harriet was the first to speak up.
Evelyn walked straight towards the crib in the room, her eyes fixated on little An-An lying there, yet she replied to her mom without any delay, "I ca to see little An-An."
As she spoke, she didn’t glance at her mom at all, striding over to the crib.
Upon hearing the conversation between Harriet and Evelyn, Alia and Lily snapped back to reality, realizing that Evelyn had already reached the crib, now looking down closely at little An-An.
Seeing this, Lily and Alia instantly felt tense, keeping a close eye on Evelyn, monitoring her next move.
Because they were watching Evelyn so intently, when she attempted further action, Alia suddenly stood up, rushing over to hold her back.
"Do you know how to hold a baby, you silly girl? Let hold the little one for you." Evelyn wanted to cuddle little An-An, but as she bent over to pick him up, Alia swiftly pulled her back, preventing her from touching even a strand of the baby’s hair.
Just when Evelyn was about to hold the baby, Lily’s heart skipped a beat, but her reaction was slower than Alia’s. As Lily prepared to get up, Alia had already pulled Evelyn away, prompting Lily to abandon the idea of getting up to hold the baby.
As Evelyn’s mom, Harriet was also quite worried. She wasn’t concerned about Evelyn doing anything to little An-An but rather fearful that her inexperienced daughter might mishandle the baby, causing so misunderstanding.
Luckily, Alia promptly picked up little An-An, averting any unnecessary misunderstanding.
Evelyn understood what Alia was worried about, but she didn’t comnt on it; she leaned closer to little An-An.
"Why is the baby so ugly?!"
The mont Evelyn caught sight of little An-An, she let out an exclamation.
It was completely different from what she had heard from her parents; they described the baby as exceptionally cute, saying he resembled Quincy a lot.
This baby was so ugly; how could he resemble Quincy so much? Not even a little bit, okay?
The baby’s mom isn’t ugly; how could the baby be so ugly? Whose baby is this anyway?
Upon hearing Evelyn say little An-An was ugly, Alia’s face imdiately soured, quickly retorting, "Our little An-An is so adorable; how is he ugly?"
