"As long as I’m not considered fat, it saves from having to diet later." Her words sounded like a joke, yet they weren’t entirely; if she did gain weight, she would genuinely consider dieting—not just to maintain her figure, but more so because being overweight can impact health.
"You absolutely don’t need to diet."
Harriet White and Alia Linton responded in unison.
Seeing this, Lily Turner burst out laughing: "Mom! Aunt! You two are so in sync."
If her mom were here, she wondered if she would join the two in opposing her diet.
"That’s because we share the sa thought—you absolutely don’t need to diet."
"Who needs to diet?"
Just as Alia Linton finished speaking, Evelyn Taylor’s voice ca from the doorway.
