Lily Turner felt especially uncomfortable hearing her own son being called ugly, and it was even said by her rival. Already dissatisfied with Evelyn Taylor, her expression worsened when she looked at Evelyn.

Seeing the expressions of both Lily Turner and Alia Linton turning sour, Harriet White imdiately spoke up to smooth things over for her daughter, "You don’t know anything, so don’t talk nonsense. Babies look like this when they’re just born; wait until the baby grows up a bit."

"Your Brother Easton and Lily are so handso and pretty; could their baby be any less?" Harriet White walked behind Evelyn Taylor, quietly poking Evelyn’s waist, silently warning her not to speak recklessly.

Realizing that the other three adults were displeased with her, Evelyn quickly understood that she had said sothing that made them unhappy. But she hadn’t lied; the baby really did look ugly.

The baby looked so ugly that she doubted whether the baby was Easton’s.

"Brother Easton is handso, but that..."

"Look carefully, the baby’s eyes and nose look just like your Brother Easton’s."

Harriet White imdiately picked up on what Evelyn Taylor was about to say next and promptly interrupted her daughter before she could utter those words.

It seed her previous warning to her stubborn daughter had been in vain; she was still speaking recklessly. Without thinking too much, she dragged her daughter to stand in front of Alia Linton, so she could take a good, close look at little An An.

Unprepared, Evelyn Taylor was suddenly pulled to stand in front of Alia Linton, who was holding little An An. By lowering her head, Evelyn could see An An.

Little An An’s mouth was moving, blowing bubbles as he played, looking extrely cute.

Whether because of what her mom had just said or because she had taken a closer look, Evelyn suddenly found that little An An was really as cute as her parents had said.

"Little An An! Hello! I’m Auntie Evelyn!"

"What do you an, Auntie Evelyn? You’re Auntie Taylor. I find it odd that you don’t understand simple things."

Seeing little An An’s cuteness, Evelyn couldn’t help but wave and greet him, but her choice of title caused dissatisfaction from Harriet White beside her.

Despite her mom’s displeasure, Evelyn felt unconvinced and tilted her head to retort, "I call An An’s dad Brother Easton, so An An should call Auntie."

She completely disregarded little An An’s mom in her reasoning.

"You’re Lily’s cousin, so little An An should call you Auntie Taylor." Harriet White knew from the beginning that Evelyn was reasoning from Easton Hols’s side, but she still corrected Evelyn’s perception and terms once more.

She wanted Evelyn to genuinely acknowledge that Lily Turner was her cousin and accept from her heart that Lily had married Easton Hols and had a child with him.

It might seem like rubbing salt in her daughter’s wounds or bringing up uncomfortable topics, but she sincerely wanted the best for her daughter, helping her to completely move on from emotions that weren’t hers to begin with.

Although Evelyn was very dissatisfied with her mom’s statent, she refrained from voicing her disagreent due to Alia Linton’s presence and simply glared at her mom with dissatisfaction. Instead, she continued to chat with little An An, "Little An An! Can Aunt hold you?"

As she spoke, she had already reached out her hands toward An An.

"No, you can’t!"

Just when Alia Linton was about to refuse, Harriet White surprisingly beat her to it.
