As soon as He Yuan transferred over, He held his head in his hands. He felt a strong headache but it wasn't so hard to endure and in a couple of seconds, it gradually subsided to a dull ache.
The very mont he opened his eyes, a clean cut man in a labcoat walked out of the door in front of him.
Before he could speak, a woman rushed forward from behind and anxiously held the arm of the unfamiliar man. "Doctor, doctor, how was it hm?"
The doctor had a warm smile and moved his attention at the space behind He Yuan before saying, "Congratulations, the insemination was successful." And then he walked away.
"Oh, thank goodness!"
"Congratulations aunt, congratulations cousin."
'Congratulations Tao'er."
"Thanks uncle."
"Congratulations brother Tao."
"En."
"A'Tao, I'm so happy for you. Congratulations."
"Thanks, mother."
"See I told you all will be well sister-in-law."
"Indeed, indeed."
"The Han family would finally have, not one, but two mbers of the new generation and they're boys too!"
"Congratulations Min girl. You would be a grandmother soon."
"Thank you mother. I should also congratulate you too. Those are your future great grandkids after all."
"Ah~ Min girl, no need for too much formalities."
"Ha ha, okay mother."
"Such good news~ Look how happy mother looks, she would soon be a great grandmother to two healthy boys after all!"
"And yet grandmother looks so young."
"Ha, you sweet talker."
"It's true grandma~"
He Yuan turned around and looked from one person to another in amusent. No congratulations for Xu Lifen? His feelings were hurt.
They were about 10 of them, all exchanging congratulations and sugary sweet flattery. The Han family at this ti had mostly won. The only males present were; Han Tao, Han Tao's infertile uncle -Han Yuanjun and Han Tao's aunt's husband, who had married into the family, Gu Longwei.
As for the won, they were; the current matriarch -Yu Fenfang, Han Tao's mother -Min Yanyu, the woman who had rushed forward to hold the docotor's arm -also Gu Longwei's wife- Han Rong, Han Yuanjun's wife - Fu Lan and lastly, Han Tao's female cousins; Han Yi, Han Jiao and Han Wen.
The last three were Han Rong's twenty year old triplet daughters. They were actually three more girls before them but those ones were already married and no longer in the Han family ho. With Gu Longwei marrying into the family, Han Rong had tried her best to give birth to a male. Sadly, that didn't happen and her body weaker as ti flew by.
He Yuan sighed and massaged the sides of his head. There were so many people that it was hard to keep up. If it wasn't already clear, then he'd apparently transferred right at the mont where the fertilized egg got inseminated into Chen ili's uterus.
He looked down at his hands. Seeing a watch, he checked the ti and frowned. For how long was he ant to remain here? He was slightly disoriented and needed to lay his head.
At that mont, soone finally turned their attention to He Yuan. It was Han Rong's eldest triplet, Han Yi. "Ah, cousin-in-law? Even if you don't like sister ili, it's still your children that she'd just managed to carry. You shouldn't look so unhappy."
The surroundings suddenly turned silent and they all turned to face He Yuan with varying looks of dissatisfaction whilst Han Tao had his usual stone cold expression. The elderly Han Madam raised a wrinkled hand to her mouth and cleared her throat with a frown. "Now is not the ti to discuss such ssy things,"
Then she looked to He Yuan with reproach. "Xu Lifen, you should watch where you are and mind your expressions. Not everyone would be willing to sacrifice what Chen ili has for you."
He Yuan blinked, casuing Xu Lifen long lashes to flutter prettily as he said, "I did not ask for her sacrifice. She practically begged for it.
-If anything, she should be grateful to because I'm actually doing her a favour and letting her to 'Repay all the goodness the Han family has done for her' as she so claid."
The Han Madam's eyes widened in shock and she slamd her walking stick on the ground. At the sa ti, utterly bewildered gasps rang out around the hall. Han Tao eyed He Yuan with a warning glare but seeing that there was no change in Xu Lifen's expression, he frowned.
Min Yanyu looked from her son to He Yuan. Although she disliked Xu Lifen and her annoying tantrums, Chen ili had just successfully carried the only descendants of the Han family and nothing should ruin the mont so smiled at her mother-in-law placatingly. "Mother, Xu Lifen did not an it that way. We've been up all night waiting for the procedure to be completed so it's normal that so of us would be high strung from stress."
Han Jiao moved closer to Han Yi and said not-so-quietly, "Sounds to like she was just being unreasonable and jealous."
The Han Madam's expression darkened even more and Han Rong quickly hushed her second triplet.
At that mont, the door was pushed open again and out ca a group of nurses, pushing Chen ili on a stroller as they prepared to transfer her to a VIP room to recuperate.
Chen ili laid weakly on the stroller as she sent a forbearing smile to every one of the Hans until her eyes landed on Han Tao and her smile turned warr.
The matter with Xu Lifen was pushed back in the minds of everyone as they all smiled at Chen ili gratefully -the Han Madam and Min Yanyu even had tears in their eyes. Han Tao, on the other hand, stared heatedly at Chen ili for a couple of seconds before his lips arched in a barely restrained smile.
888 gasped dramatically and mimicked Han Tao's voice. [My sister-in-law, whom I also happen to be in love with, is carrying my wife's fertilized eggs. Let conveniently forget that my wife exists and pretend like I was the one who manually offloaded the kids in there~]
"Don't start." He Yuan admonished but still lowered his head and blocked his lips with a hand to hide his soft laughter. His System's voice was dripping with so much venom that he could actually taste poison in the air.
Min Yanyu couldn't hold herself back in the end and walked closer to Chen ili to hold her hands. "Li'er~" She said with a soft smile.
Chen ili's eyes turned kind. "Mother~" Tears welled up in her eyes. "The Han family is one with such rich history. I would would gladly do my part to ensure it doesn't end in brother Tao's generation."
Sighs rang out on the hall. Chen ili was a true goddess wasn't she? The Hans were all up in their feelings, admiring the special one until....
"I'm sure we would all do our parts. Now please can you kindly not cry?" He Yuan, like the insufferable soul he was, cut in with an eye roll.
"The pregnancy is in a very delicate period and the foetus is not even stabilized yet so it could be easily affected by your emotions. My children are so precious to and the Han family, I don't want anything to happen to them."
