Chen ili froze and even if the rest of the Hans were dissatisfied, they had to admit that He Yuan's words scared them a little. Chen ili had just finished the operation so the foetus was in a fragile state. The slightest agitation in her emotion could indeed affect it so they all swallowed their disagreent.
"Ah," Chen ili began and blinked her eyes twice -all traces of tears automatically vanished. "I wasn't crying, I was just feeling too happy. Happy feelings could be good for the babies."
Before the Hans could let out strings of agreent and support, He Yuan calmly cut in, "Not at this stage. It might be too much to ask but your emotions have to be balanced.
-Just as too much sadness is detrintal, too much happiness is bad too. Your emotions should be as steady as a mount Tai for this ti period."
888 laughed softly. How could He Yuan tell him to stop when he was even worse? Exaggerating the truth like that... Tsk.
Seeing that the Hans seed to be seriously comtemplating Xu Lifen's words, Chen ili joked, "Oh, sister-in-law. You seem to be forgeting that I am a doctor. Don't just listen to whatever you see online."
Han Yi also laughed and turned to He Yuan. "That is indeed true. How can we take your words over the words of a licensed doctor?"
The other Hans relaxed at this but He Yuan frowned at Han Yi. "Did a pigeon vomit in your brain?" Han Yi opened her mouth to scold him but he held up a hand. "Chen ili is an eye doctor. An ophthalmologist, not an obstetrician. Is she pregnant with 'eyes' or babies? If I was wrong why don't we call a true obstetrician to ask now?"
The faces of everyone turned sour. This was the reason they never liked Xu Lifen. All she knew was to throw tantrums and speak like a villager! What did they expect of an orphan who had no mother to properly train her?
At that mont, Chen ili suddenly held her head, causing everyone to panic. The Han Madam glared at He Yuan before turning to the nurses. "Quickly take her to rest, she can't be too agitated!"
After that, no one truly paid attention to He Yuan as they all scrambled to get Chen ili carefully settled in. Soon after, the Hans were all driven back to the family ho in different expensive cars.
As for the woman of the mont, Chen ili, she was scheduled to return ho in three days ti.

Later that night, Han Tao walked into his matrimonal bedroom after work to find his wife firmly tucked in and fast asleep. He stood still for a mont before walking over to her side of the bed and sitting right next to her sleeping figure.
Slowly, his hand lifted -about to caress her beautiful soft cheeks but then the hand suddenly froze in the air and slowly retracted. With the moonlight seeping in through the crack in the curtains, it could be seen that his eyes held a conflicted emotion.
The face of his sleeping wife appeared to constantly shift and a different face appeared in his mind. Han Tao sighed and sat rock still for several minutes.
888 chuckled. [It doesn't look like he's going to give up anyti soon so you might as well 'wake up.']
He Yuan tsked in his mind. The minute Han Tao had walked into the room, he'd pretended to be asleep. At the mont, Xu Lifen and Han Tao were married and relatively harmonious so 'bedroom activities' was... to be expected.
Han Tao had been sitting by his side for so long so rather than continue to waste ti, it was better to wake up and if the Han policeman tried anything, he could easily knock the man out and use mory wiping dust.
After thinking things through, He Yuan gave an appearance of being stirred awake and then slowly opened his eyes. He showed a surprised expression next. "Ah? Han Tao?"
A perplexed frown automatically creased Han Tao's brows. "Han Tao?" Since when did his wife refer to him so detachedly?
He Yuan realized his mistake but it was too difficult for him to get that word out. Seeing that Han Tao continued to do nothing but stare at him blankly, he cursed in his mind. No matter what, he couldn't be too hasty with things in a task realm and deviate from the leaser's norms too quickly so he grit his teeth and very reluctantly called out in a choked voice, "Hu..s..s..s.." Nah. He gave up. The word wouldn't co out.
[Pfft!] 888 burst into soft laughter and He Yuan clenched his teeth harder. How did he end up with such an unsupportive system?
Han Tao sighed. His wife must be feeling wronged about the issue of Chen ili being their surrogate and that was why she was acting this way. But what could be done? He stretched his hand and held He Yuan's right hand in his palm, placing a soft kiss on Xu Lifen's knuckles.
"Rember how you've always wanted a child after the last one was lost in that accident?" He began, "It doesn't matter who the surrogate is but since ili had kindly offered, why not just focus on the results?
-Nine months would be over before you blink so it would be good to be a little more tolerant and restrain from giving ili any more trouble, alright?
-What happened at the hospital today was pretty dangerous and could've ended badly. Rember, we have to pay consideration to ili's wellbeing if we want our children to be safely delivered.
-We both saw how hard she tried during the month to prepare herself for the kids. Be a little less harsh and be more accomodating."

Of course the always quiet Han Tao would suddenly beco talkative once Chen ili was involved. ili this, ili that... Such an intimate form of address for his sister-in-law. Tsk.
He Yuan calmly withdrew his hand and sneakily wiped it off. 'Be a little less harsh,' 'Be more accomodating,' 'Be more tolerant and accepting,' Be kinder,' 'Be more understanding.' Those were the mantras the oh-so-quiet Han Tao had chanted to Xu Lifen like a mosquito throughout the pregnancy in the original tiline.
It would have been fine it were a random surrogate but when Xu Lifen had to watch Han Tao continuously overpamper and pay unnecessarily close attention to Chen ili, those words beca hard pills to swallow.
Yet Han Tao had the guts to say that it doesn't matter who the surrogate was? Ha! Would he go about massaging the feet of any other surrogate? Would he go about rubbing the stomach of any other surrogate? Would he go as far as hand feeding any other surrogate?
He Yuan calmly stretched out both of his arms and yawned exaggeratedly before tucking himself under the covers once more. "I've heard. Now I want to sleep." None of these mattered to him anyway.
Han Tao was free to go as far as having sex with Chen ili to 'kindly and innocently' help her loosen her 'channel' in preparation for childbirth. He wasn't emotionally involved in all of this so he literally did not give a fuck.
