"Ooooh, no... did he just slap her? The gall! Can you believe he slapped my queen?"

"Are you seeing this? And right in the middle of the talent awakening ceremony. Damn!"

"Wait...why would he slap her? Does he... have a kink or sothing?"

"Are you deaf? Didn’t you hear what he called her? A cheating bitch!!!"

"That bitch! I knew she was no good for him. I wonder what my chances are with him now..."

Gasps rippled through the crowd as Aurora froze in disbelief. This wasn’t how her little sche was supposed to unfold.

Worse yet, it felt like the man standing before her was no longer the Aurelian she knew. The old Aurelian would never have raised a hand against her.

Blinded by rage, she shot to her feet. Her fists clenched tight, she swung down with every ounce of fury toward his face.

Aurelian only smiled. He didn’t know much about this world yet, but he knew emotions, and people. That never changed, no matter the world.

From the mont of transmigration, he realized he hadn’t just inherited the host’s mories, but his skills as well.

The Eight-Step Martial Technique was ant to allow youths to hone their bodies in preparation for this ceremony. While others trained it rely for the occasion, he had gone further. He had trained it beyond perfection, allowing him to easily wield the power of five mortal n, while others could only manage two.

Stepping away with swift speed, he tapped her shoulder playfully before a faint cracking sound echoed.

And as it did, a whisper escaped his lips, only heard by her.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk... attacking a prince of the Graegor family with intent to kill? I bet that won’t work out very well for you, even if you awaken a super cool talent."

"This... this... you bastard... you attacked ! You’ll pay for this!!!" Aurora yelled out, finally unable to keep her calm.

"I’ll kill you!!!"

"Huh?" Aurelian gasped in mock surprise as soon as he heard the last part, before smiling a bit too evilly.

"Attacking and threatening to kill a prince of the Graegor family? What more are you waiting for? Take her away!"

To others, it would seem as if he was yelling at thin air, but that illusion was broken as terrifying auras rippled out shortly after, and two figures materialized in front of him.

His assigned bodyguards, now kneeling, voiced out simultaneously: "Yes, my prince!"

Before placing their hands on her, just about to vanish, he drew in another mouthful of air and then pointed dramatically at Alaric too.

"Take him too. He was planning to kill as well...I can feel it!"

"Huh? Wait, Aurelian, you can’t do this to . It was a mistake..." Alaric burst into sweat as he heard the last part.

"Argh, not again!" Rarvo sighed. "The little bugger’s at it again."

Only this ti, it just happened to be in the middle of a very important ceremony.

This ought to bring backlash, and sure enough, an overwhelming aura burst forth, followed by a loud voice.

"You dare place your filthy hands on my niece? Courting death!"

A figure seated at the podium allocated for the powerhouses couldn’t hold it in anymore.

Words were one thing, but this? He couldn’t let Aurelian trample on his family bloodline.

"Argh, great, there just happens to be an old geezer. What could possibly go wrong?" Aurelian sighed, feeling the pressure lift almost imdiately as Patriarch Artorias waved his hand before turning to the elder.

"Leave this conflict to the younger generation. I trust I won’t have to tell you twice?" he asked, more as a demand than a question.

"Sorry, Patriarch, I was angry. That’s my niece, I was...."

"That’s my nephew. You don’t see radiating my aura brashly too, do you?"

"No, Patriarch, I was wrong. Please forgive . I won’t repeat this." Elder Varn muttered bitterly, frustration clearly painted on his face.

Shifting his attention, Artorias turned to the two figures in black that had appeared next to Aurelian before booming: "Take them away. They will pay for their cris!"

A mont of silence passed as everyone drank in his words before his orders were executed imdiately.

Yet another reason for the gathered youths to engrave in their hearts: never ss with young master Aurelian.

As for the person in question, a shitty grin was etched on his face. The situation had gone in the best possible way he could have ever hoped for.

He had already seen it the mont he transmigrated: his own trash awakening, their brilliant ones, and their inevitable betrayal. He had simply cut the roots before they could sprout.

His words held weight now. He was an exceedingly promising figure, and it was certainly expected that he would awaken a high talent.

But what about when he awakened a trashy one? When he wouldn’t have people sucking up to him?

It was best he utilized this situation to his advantage. In hindsight, it could almost be concluded that if he had a system, he wouldn’t have gone to such lengths. Strength was king. Power was indispensable.

He had power, and to keep it, he had to be strong.

"Unbelievable." The words slipped out of Aurelian’s mouth as he watched for the umpteenth ti another youth awaken their talents, already getting the full gist of it.

"Rowan Stormblood! Step forward and awaken your talent!"

A blond-haired young man walked up imdiately after hearing his na.

Approaching, he placed his hands on the orb before it lit up in an entrancing display.

It flashed brighter than the rest had.

"Hahaha! Good! Good! Good!" Rarvo, for the first ti, cracked a smile as he looked at the youth before him.

"Awakened A-rank talent: Hellfire Chain Wraith!"

Holy hell! An A-rank!

Why? Why isn’t that ...? I don’t want this stupid E-rank Turtle Breath talent. What the fuck am I supposed to do with that? Kill my enemies by breathing slowly?

"Ha! Better you, what about ? I got F-rank Astral Hair. I get to make my hair change colors and grow longer!" Another girl in the crowd shrieked, almost bursting into tears.

The commotion Aurora had just caused was almost long forgotten.

"Hmmm, truly low ranked talents. I got D-rank Iron Skin. I can harden my skin to be as tough as iron. Say, if you beauties co along with tonight, I can protect you all."

"Really?" a girl asked almost imdiately, as if the greasy boy was their light at the end of the tunnel, her eyes wolf-like.

"I see now," Aurelian murmured. mories and firsthand experience were truly different.

The weight of awakened talents was already coming into play, only seconds after awakening them.

He could only imagine the despair of soone waiting eighteen years of their life, only to awaken a trashy talent.

Oh, wait—he could. He was just about to awaken one.

And not long after, Rarvo cast his gaze at him, nodded curtly, and voiced:

"Aurelian Draegor! Co forth and awaken your talent!"

The words sent a burst of shockwaves as everyone went quiet, their eyes turning to him.

"Holy shit, I heard the patriarch say his potential was that of an S-rank talent!" The girl who had awakened the useless F-rank talent suddenly yelled out at the peak of her voice, as if her life depended on it.

"S-rank talent? No way. That’s legendary. The last ti one was awakened was five years ago!"

"Argh, I love you, Aurelian!"

All sorts of comnts filled his ears.

It was overwhelming, to say the least, from an overworked college student to a fucking prince.

Yet as he strolled forward, the only thought cycling in his mind was:

I hope it won’t be very trashy. It can’t be too trashy, or I’m fucked.

He had already predetermined it. Chances were, he’d awaken an F-rank talent. The question was just how

trashy.

Maybe it could be one of those everybody found useless but turned out to be a bug for the protagonist?

He fucking hoped it was!
