Kranos nodded in understanding. After that, the trio continued on their destination. Along the way, they encountered more demons, but after eliminating them, they quickly hid their tracks and escaped.
...
anwhile, in a mysterious secret realm that looked like a small world, this secret realm was filled with an aura of destruction. However, at this mont, an even more terrifying aura was released.
"Dead?" a red-masked man was stunned. With a flicker, his figure vanished. The sa thing occurred all over the Scarlet Moon Organization; wherever the red-masked n were, they received the information of the death of Rose, Desmond, and Demule.
In an instant, more than ten red-masked n were gathered in a terrifying hall that exuded an aura of mystery. They all bowed their heads towards the three figures ahead of them, because upon closer look, one would notice that two of the figures had black masks!
One of the black-masked n spoke, "It seems that kid’s secret was deeper than we thought, as expected of the son of the monster known as Raphael!" The voice exuded a sense of mystery, causing one to be slightly confused by its tone.
The black-masked man turned to the ten red-masked n and said solemnly, "I want you all to work together and catch him alive. I want to see what’s so good about him. Does he think he is his father to dare offend my Scarlet Moon Organization??"
Hearing the angry bellow of the black-masked man, the ten red-masked n didn’t dare respond. They could only tremble in fear at his voice. Seeing that he had given the order, they imdiately vanished into thin air. At the sa ti, those with the summoning elent released their aura-sensing beasts and began tracking Kranos’s location.
They estimated that they should fully capture Kranos in half a day at most!
After the ten red-masked n left, the two black-masked n began to talk to each other. The elder that had just spoken turned to the masked man who had been silent the whole ti.
"Are you sure we shouldn’t send purple-masked n and above to chase after him? Capturing him should be easier that way. You have taken a liking to Desmond, and he was killed; aren’t you angry about that?" His tone was laced with confusion; he couldn’t understand what kind of ga this old ancestor was playing at; he was too calculating of everything!
"Indeed, sending any assassin above Rank 4 will imdiately alert Raphael. By then, not to talk of capturing his son, it will be very difficult for us to escape. We are still fortunate that he hasn’t discovered his son is being chased by us. As for Desmond?" The figure suddenly fell silent.
However, if one looked beneath his mask, they would see a chilling gleam!
...
In the blink of an eye, a day had fully passed. Noticing that he hadn’t encountered any strong opponents, Kranos relaxed slightly. Soon they had fully reached a place that looked like an abandoned hut in the midst of the forest.
Kranos was stunned as he stared at the hut. He looked at Kathryn to ask if this was the place they were heading to. She nodded at him, causing Kranos to be speechless. Just as the three of them approached the abandoned hut, a figure erged from within as though sensing them.
A few kiloters from where Kranos and the others were, ten masked n were muttering under their breath.
"How unfortunate! Why would these demons gather to block our path now of all tis, when we are about to capture that fellow?"
"They seem to be planning sothing big?" another one of them muttered slightly. Just like Kathryn had predicted, they were unable to get to Kranos, even though they could sense that he was close by. This was because they encountered a large number of demons on the way!
They were stopped by this demon encirclent, and with no way to proceed, they could only forcefully break out of the encirclent of demons. They estimated that the ti it would take to reach Kranos would likely be two days because of the delay.
However, they weren’t worried. They knew Kranos had no way to erase his aura; if he did, he wouldn’t be in such a predicant!
The figure that erged from the hut was a young man that seed to be in his thirties. Kranos and Kevin were slightly surprised, but Kathryn looked as though she had expected this already.
Glancing at them, the man smiled invitingly, "Welco to my humble abode. You may co in..."
Kathryn imdiately cupped her fist at the man. "Senior, I am the Elven Princess. I seek a bit of your help." Saying so, she slowly passed the young man a spatial ring with a pained heart. Inside the ring were almost five heavenly treasures!
The young man accepted the ring with a smile; after glancing through its contents, his smile widened. "You seem to know better than I thought, Elven Princess." The man’s gaze was deep and profound as though he was trying to discover her secrets.
Kathryn was imdiately panicked inwardly, and her verdant immortal veins faintly trembled, but she remained calm.
Kranos watched the exchange on the side. He was slightly surprised by Kathryn calling the young man ’senior,’ after all, he couldn’t sense any cultivation from the man. He seed like an ordinary villager that was living in the woods.
However, Kranos realized that the man was far from ordinary. Could an ordinary person with no cultivation survive in the woods filled with demons and fierce magical beasts? Kranos’s gaze towards the man changed slightly, and he was imdiately on guard.
After studying Kathryn for a mont, he laughed lightly then said, "Alright, tell what it is you want."
Kathryn imdiately sighed in relief. She pointed at Kranos, "His aura is being tracked. I want you to mask it perfectly, to be untraceable by anyone." When she reached the last part, she emphasized it in a deep tone.
The young man nodded, then his calm gaze landed on Kranos. The mont it did, Kranos felt as though all his secrets had been seen through. For a mont, he even had the slight misconception that the man had discovered the system. However, the man didn’t react suspiciously, causing Kranos to sigh in relief.
"Young man, who have you offended?"
