That was the sound of a wooden door swinging open quietly, but it was loud enough to get the attention of the only girl in the room to look at the visitors in the nightti like this with a face that seed quite surprised.

She had big round eyes and curly black hair like a doll. She was in an old-fashioned house cleaner dress with wavy laces, making her look mystic under the light from the fireplace. She was sitting on a moderate-size rocking chair, knitting a scarf, and looking totally out of character.

“Excuse , the magic warrior class office is temporarily unavailable during the war period. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

Lala, the NPC of the magic warrior class office, spoke up in a slowed voice.

But when the visitors got through the door and heard what she said, one of them curled up a smile as he held his hand up and waved to greet the NPC familiarly.

“I’m not here to do the class quest, gorgeous. Just looking for a place to discuss business. Hope you don’t mind.”

“It’s Mister Wisana.” The NPC gave him a big smile. “And that’s Mister Shin, isn’t it? Co on in. Make yourselves at ho. I’ve just closed the office this evening. There’s nothing to do here now. I was about to go report to Miss Maysa as well.”

Lala said, pointing her hand to guests’ sofas at a corner in the office. But Wisana just shook his head slightly, pointing to the back of the office instead.

“I’m thinking about sitting down at the porch in the back. I’d rather enjoy the river view.”

“Would you like so tea or anything?” Lala asked.

“Yes, please. It’d be good to have so milk tea with exhaustion dispelling.” After speaking, Wisana glanced at the other one next to him. “Two, please.”

“Coming right up.”

The NPC accepted that in a cheerful voice, before throwing the unfinished knitting scarf away. A second later, she floated inside a room to make the tea as the boys had asked for.

“Let’s go to the back porch.”

“Yeah.”

The boys invited and accepted perfunctorily. Wisana carried his daughter along the office’s hallway that only had dim light from the fireplace to lead their way. The inside of the magic warrior office did not look any different from a sample house in a housing estate project. Everything looked clean and neat. The furniture’s designs matched, making the interior classy, totally contrasting with the old office that was full of torture machines and animal heads.

Jinnie was the one who was given credit for this beautifully decorated and neat place. If it were not for her, that creepy atmosphere would have been haunting them again surely.

“Alright! Say what you got to say, young man. What’s the thing that you have to drag to such an isolated place to talk like this? But please let it not be a love confession. I might be like this, but I’ve got a girlfriend, you know.”

“If that’s a joke, then your joke sucks a lot, Vincent.”

Shindanai spoke with a deadpan expression as he followed Wisana out through the glass door that was opened wide, revealing the wooden porch near the river with a few outdoor lounge chairs that looked so comfortable to sit on. There were so little flower pots hanging from the corners. Looking out from the porch, the view of a large river lake could be seen clearly. The lights from the camp were sparkling on the water as a cold breeze was blowing against their faces, making their black hair wave slightly.

“Okay, so, what is it?”

Wisana asked again after taking a seat in one of the chairs on the porch.

“You’ll be sent to the most dangerous mining area in the war tomorrow, right, Vincent?

Hearing the question, Wisana raised his eyebrows slightly, before nodding in reply.

“Yeah.”

“With only 80 players? Are you okay with that?” Shin asked.

“Well, I have to be,” he said, shrugging. “In the eting, the vote about this was unanimous. They said that if I joined this force as well, then the battle shouldn’t be that hard to win.”

“But there’ll only be 80 players.” Shindanai objected. “You have no idea how many players the other army has. Only the Dominion has around 5,000 mbers already, and this doesn’t even include the tricky brain of Svan, the leader of the Cataral, yet. I don’t think 80 players from your force will stand a chance against them.”

The straightforward opinion only made Wisana curl up a smile. He tilted his head down a little to look at his baby who was sleeping soundly. Then he glanced at the other from the corners of his eyes.

“If we think that we’re losing from the start, then we already lost.” He said before a bright smile ca across his face. anwhile, the listener’s eyebrows were furrowed. “But if we think that there’s a chance, then there’s a chance to win. Giving up before even starting isn’t really my style, you know.”

“That’s not what I’m saying.” Shindanai cut him off, making him raise his eyebrows again. “In the war, especially in the very beginning of it like this, there’s no main player sent into the battle this fast. And apart from your guild, there’s not any chief player going to fight in the battle at all. So, what I’m concerned about here is...”

“That I’m being targeted by soone on our side, right?”

Wisana forestalled knowingly. He saw Shindanai’s lips gasping out of surprise.

“You didn’t have to tell that. I’m aware of what is going on here, because except for , those guild leaders, including you and Nam, are all called in other teams, or the safer places. It’s just , the guild leader who is put in the frontline.”

“Even though you already know that, but you still...”

“Well, it looks fun.”

With this sentence, Shindanai stopped short instantly. There was a bright smile on the good-looking face of Wisana. Those amber eyes were sparkling with an uncoverable playfulness.

“Why would I not know that soone is coming after ? I don’t know the reason why he is doing this though. The point is that he’s trying to send to die with the 80 players on the battlefield. Also, how Nam is called in the other unit is definitive proof of who’s doing this already.”

After he finished speaking, Wisana curled up a soft smile, looking out at the camp on the other side of the river.

“This is not a ga, Vincent. this is war.”

“Yes, this is my ga.” Wisana turned to cut him off with a cheerful voice. “It’s a dare ga even. I’m really not good at playing tricks. Shin. I can only play straightforwardly. If he wants to die in the battle that badly, then I’ll co back alive. And not just , all my guys will survive as well. And finally, I’ll slap my victory in his stupid face. That’s how I take my revenge.”

He said, winking at Shindanai once again.

However, the owner of those lavender eyes did not feel relieved at all about how soone was trying to stab Wisana in the back, and that soone was the player on the sa team....

How Wisana fought back so straightforwardly was too concerning. This guy was naïve like an innocent child. If soone played dirty to him, maybe he would actually lose his track.

Why would there have to be an inner war like this, too?

Like, damn it, Shindanai wanted to punch that stupid guy in the face so much!

“Look on the bright side, maybe it’s good luck for .”

Wisana spoke again in a delighted voice, making Shindanai pause a little.

“How?”

“Well, lucky that I don’t have to get stuck in the back. If I have to sit back and do nothing, I’d rather risk fighting out there instead.”

He said, then grinned. And the listener held his hand up to rub his temple tiredly.

Co on!

This person did not know how to fear anything at all? Even if there was a gun pointing at his head right now, this guy would probably be smiling cheekily like usual!

“So, you dragged all the way here just to talk about this?”

Wisana asked in a cheerful voice, making the other one put on a deadpan face again, not replying with anything.

“Aw, you have a soft side like other people do, too, huh? You care about that much, little brother?”
