“Aw, you have a soft side like other people do, too, huh? You care about that much, little brother?”
Hearing that, Shindanai closed his eyes slowly as his mind started counting one to a hundred, hoping that it would dispel the irritation that kicked in from the words of this man who was unbearable to listen to!
“Two milk teas are ready.”
A mont later, Lala ca out with two cups of warm tea. She lowered the tray in her hands down for the boys to take their cups, before bowing a little and walking away.
“I’ve decided to tag along with your force tomorrow.”
These words made the one who was about to take a sip of his tea beco still. Those amber eyes caught with the other one before his lips curled up with a smirk.
“Are you sure about that, little bro?” he asked with a chuckle in his voice. “Just so you know, I’m not going to look after you like your sister does, okay? So, there’s no guarantee for your safety.”
“Since when did I ever need you to do that for ?”
Shindanai turned to speak with a serious face. Wisana laughed.
“You sure are serious 24/7, Shin.” He said, placing his teacup down. “Are you really sure, though? It’s going to be risky. Also, your sister is...”
“I’m not a baby, Vincent.” Shin cut the other off. “I don’t need to rely on Rak all the ti. And she agrees to have co to help you out because we don’t know what the enemies will be like, but at least, if I’ll be there, too...”
“Then we don’t have anything to worry about, right?”
The irritating one completed his sentence with an amused smile.
Wisana would never mind if Shin was willing to help his force. If it was about a team playing in a battle, apart from Maysa, there was no one who knew his mind better than this guy.
“Oh, one more thing to make it clear with you, Nam isn’t going to be there with my team. So, if you think that doing this can be your apology to her, you’ll be disappointed.”
“...You’re so annoying.”
He said as both turned their faces to stare at each other, looking like they were about to laugh, but they did not. The two were quiet as they turned to look at the river lake with a calm mind.
“So, that girl you’re holding, she’s a dragon, isn’t she?” Shin asked casually.
“Yeah, she’s my baby. Her na is Mona Lisa.”
“Dragon master, huh? Interesting.”
“I know right,” Wisana said while he was stroking his daughter’s hair softly.
“What race?” Shindanai asked.
“Mo? ...Sarquros, I guess.”
The listener paused after hearing the answer. He looked at Wisana with a little wider eyes and saw the irritating one tilting his head a little with an annoying smile. And that was all to make Shindanai make a snorting sound, before turning his face back to the lake again.
“You always have sothing surprising.”
“If that’s a complint, I’d appreciate it so much.” Wisana grinned delightedly.
“Are you going to take her with you to the battle tomorrow?” Shin asked.
“I think it’s still too soon. She’s so young. All she does is crawl around and ...probably scream so loud to break people’s ears.”
The father scratched his cheek at the last sentence he said, making Shindanai move his lips up, almost looking like he was about to smile.
“You should bring her in the battle with you, keeping her in your inventory.”
Wisana was a little dazed.
“I can do that?” He asked.
“I think, yes. Those players from beast master classes have to keep their monsters by their side almost all the ti. I know that because that was how I fard levels for my beast at the beginning as well. If you do that, your dragon will receive half of your EXP from a fight, unlike going out to fight with you, that’s how she receives full EXP.
“Oh...”
The listener drawled when he understood. He looked down at Mona Lisa who was deeply sleeping. She was even smiling sweetly in her sleep and clenching her fist around Wisana’s shirt tightly. And the father could not help but smile at that as well.
“Well, then, I’m going to take her with . And in case of ergency, her scream will be very useful for us, though it will make our allies’ ears hurt as well.”
He laughed amusedly after speaking. Shindanai. Who had never experienced the killer voice yet, shook his head wearily.
“Okay.”
Wisana cut into the ending, before slowly standing up after he finished his tea in one gulp.
“If you’re going with , then you should go to bed now. Tomorrow, we are eting up at 3 a.m., in front of our new office tent. May will explain all the plans. Ae and Orn will hand out the necessary war items as well. You don’t have to bring anything from your guild. Just use ours.”
“Got it.”
Shindanai accepted that, before standing up as well.
“One more thing,” Wisana said. “If you don’t want to miss the party with us, don’t let that William guy know about this. You have to sneak out to join my guild before they realize it, okay?”
He said, winking at the quiet one. The other let out a sound like a chuckle from his throat.
“Don’t worry. They won’t even see my shadow.”
----------------
It seed like many hours had passed within just one mont. The sky started to look lighter as those early birds started singing, a sign of a new day.
Outside the residential tents of the Nesis guild, too, had many players waking up and stretching their muscles now. So of them were washing their faces by pouring water right on their head to wash the drowsiness away. So of them were turning off the monster repellent lights and lighting up storm lanterns to lead their way in the darkness instead.
Now it was three in the morning in Pride’s ti. The situation here looked like in a scout camp or military student training course where people got up so early and were excited about an important mission that was waiting for them at 9 a.m. today.
In front of the tents’ area, there was a long table set up with many stats and curses dispelling potions piling on it, waiting to be handed out to the mbers. People who sat at the table like so governnt employees were Manoch and Warunya. They were yawning because of the lack of sleep from calculating the items for handing them out to the force all night.
“YAWN! You guys finished setting up the table already? I was going to help you a bit with that. Sorry.”
Another voice rang up with a face that looked sleepy just as much.
Her light grey eyes looked more sunken than usual. Her black hair was ssily out of style, showing that it had been rubbed harshly many tis before.
“Good morning, May.” The red-haired girl nad Warunya greeted her with a smiley face.
“Good morning.”
“You didn’t sleep at all, right, May? You look awful.” Manoch greeted her as well.
“Like you look any better than .” The one who was greeted talked back tiredly. “Anyway, you’ve brought many items here. They should be enough. From my calculation, the battle shouldn’t be long.”
“If it’s not going to be a lengthy battle, then these are more than enough. Also, those top-tier players will join the front line from the very start like this, I guess?”
Manoch let out a huge yawn after speaking, before glancing at the guild mbers who were walking around there, looking half asleep.
“Well, I hope that the morning sunlight will make these guys feel a bit more alive. If they’re out to fight in a sleepy stage like that, Miss Stella will surely get exhausted with the workload after the war.
“Right.”
Maysa smiled in reply. She then took a seat at the table, grabbed a bottle of blue potion out, pulled the cork out, and drank it.
“How the plan making went, May?” Warunya asked.
“It went well,” Maysa answered in a bored voice. “If it were purely about our guild’s battle plan, I think there wouldn’t be any problem. But when we have the other jamming in like that, I have to make a few more backup steps in the plan, you know.”
After speaking, she put the potion bottle on the table as loudly as how she stressed the word ‘the other.’
Hearing her like that, Warunya and Manoch turned to catch eye with wry smiles on their faces.
“Co on now, let’s just take it as a new experience.” Said Manoch.
“If we do our best on our part, there shouldn’t be any problem, right?” Warunya added.
