Inside the stifling eting room on the third floor, all the departnt heads sat in silence, staring down at their notes.

After what felt like ages, Pan Lin knocked on the door and stepped in, making everyone tense up again.

“Everyone, President Jiang had an urgent matter to attend to, so today’s eting is over for now. Before she left, she asked to remind you all to treat this mistake as a serious lesson. From now on, make sure to handle your responsibilities properly—sothing like this can never happen again.”

As soon as they heard that the eting was over and Jiang Jingshi had left, the leaders of each departnt collectively let out a sigh of relief.

It felt like the boulder pressing down on their backs had finally been lifted.

Seeing this reaction, Pan Lin couldn’t help but smile. Looks like everyone’s still scared of President Jiang.

She quietly exited the eting room.

Upstairs in the General Manager’s Office on the seventh floor, Lin Zhengran sat on the couch.

Jiang Jingshi sat beside him with elegant poise, wrapped gently in his arms.

The fierce, no-nonsense Deputy GM of Zhengshi Company—eldest daughter of the Jiang family—was now soft and gentle like a newlywed bride.

Her face was tinged with a faint blush and longing. One of her hands was held by him, the other rested on his back.

“Zheng Zheng, when did you get back? Why didn’t you tell ?”

As Lin Zhengran took in her signature scent, he noticed how hugging her slim figure, with her wavy long hair, felt very different from the other three little ones.

“I got back two days ago. Tidied up so things at ho, and then figured I’d stop by the company to see you—and check if anything here needs my attention.”

Nestled happily in his embrace, Jiang Jingshi looked down at their intertwined hands.

“Two days ago? You didn’t even tell your sister... I would’ve picked you up.”

“No need for all that. I can co on my own.”

Smiling, she pressed her delicate fingers into the back of his shirt.

“You're not planning to head out of town again anyti soon, right?”

“Nope. Not much ti for that anymore. Just wrapping up the holidays and then it’s back to school.”

Back to school... Jiang Jingshi knew that once the sester started, their ti together would shrink again.

But at least they still had a bit of ti left.

Outside the office, Pan Lin approached with a tray of tea. Through the gap in the door, she spotted the two of them cuddling inside.

She stood frozen for a mont, growing increasingly obsessed with President Jiang and President Lin’s relationship.

She knocked softly twice. “President Jiang, President Lin—your tea is ready.”

At the sound of Pan Lin’s voice, Jiang Jingshi quickly straightened up. “Co in.”

Pan Lin set the steaming tea down on the coffee table in front of them.

“If there’s nothing else, I’ll step out. Just call if you need anything.”

She left quietly and closed the door behind her.

Jiang Jingshi brought the tea to Lin Zhengran, noticing him looking at her a bit surprised.

She knew exactly what he was thinking and blushed slightly with a hint of embarrassnt. “You heard everything outside the eting room earlier, didn’t you?”

“Yeah. Heard you laying into them for a good while. I even asked Pan Lin what happened. Had to know what made you so p*ed.”**

Jiang Jingshi bit her lip slightly, worried it might ruin the image he had of her. “I usually don’t lose my temper like that... but today’s situation just... sigh, I must’ve made a fool of myself in front of you.”

“Why would that be a problem?” he chuckled. “It’s the first ti I’ve seen that side of you, sure—but honestly, I figured from the mont I t you that you probably had your fierce monts. Otherwise, how could you be in charge of PR and negotiations at the Jiang Group? If you were all sugar and softness all the ti, I doubt half your deals would’ve gone through.”

Jiang Jingshi looked at him with her peach blossom eyes. “Really? But I’ve always been so gentle with you. Even back when we first t at the school gate—I was soft then too. You an to tell you thought I could be fierce?”

Lin Zhengran replied honestly, “Well, judging by how your sister Jiang Qian always talks back to you, I figured you had to be pretty tough. If you were always gentle, she probably wouldn’t act like that. So...”

Jiang Jingshi sighed, covering her blushing face with a hand. “Fair enough...”

Lin Zhengran took a sip of tea.

Jiang Jingshi then let go of her forehead and gently took his hand in hers.

Their eyes t, and in that quiet exchange—

Lin Zhengran wrapped his arm around her waist and leaned in to kiss her lips.

The taste of tea lingered sweetly on the corners of their mouths.

Jiang Jingshi closed her eyes, her long lashes trembling.

They kissed for a while.

Then they held each other again and chatted.

“Has the company been busy lately?” Lin Zhengran asked.

She shook her head slightly. “Not really. Didn’t I tell you when I went looking for you the other day? I’ve gotten way more efficient at handling work lately. I don’t know how you did it, but things really are so much easier now.”

“Nothing you need to take care of?”

“There are a few important docunts that need your signature. Should I have Pan Lin bring them over?”

She looked at him, softly: “And once that’s done, don’t go back at noon, okay? Let make you lunch myself. Stay and eat at the office, alright?”

“I wasn’t planning to go back anyway. Actually, I was thinking of visiting your place later. Not sure if Uncle and Auntie are free tonight. If not, maybe tomorrow.”

Jiang Jingshi lit up. “You want to visit my ho tonight?! That’d be great! I’ll ask them now.”

She turned and called out to Pan Lin.

The ever-dutiful secretary, who’d been standing just outside the door, stepped in imdiately. “President Jiang, you called?”

“Bring the files that need President Lin’s signature this week—along with the ones I already sorted earlier.”

“Yes, right away. Please wait a mont.”

After Pan Lin stepped out, Jiang Jingshi took out her phone and called her father.

The call connected after a few rings.

“Hello? Jingshi? What’s up?”

Smiling at Lin Zhengran, she asked sweetly, “Dad, do you and Mom have ti tonight? Zheng Zheng—Lin Zhengran—wants to co over and visit.”

As soon as he heard that it was Lin Zhengran who wanted to visit, her father was imdiately delighted. After all, this young man had saved his eldest daughter’s life.

“He’s coming to visit? Of course we have ti! I’ll let your mom know right away. We’ll head ho tonight! He’s back from his trip?”

“Mm, he just got back. He’s here at the company right now. I’ll hang up for now, Dad—talk later.”

“Alright, we’ll be ho tonight. Let’s all have a nice dinner together.”

After ending the call, Jiang Jingshi happily refilled Lin Zhengran’s teacup and looked at him with affection. “Drink up. I’ll go ho with you tonight.”

anwhile, in the General Manager’s Office of the Jiang Group in Zitong City, Jiang Qian was sitting at the desk that used to belong to her father. Her assistant Fang ng stood beside her, now serving as her personal secretary.

The two of them had overheard the call just made by President Jiang.

Jiang Qian paused mid-signature, looked up, and asked, “Dad, who’s coming over for dinner tonight?”

Father Jiang set down his phone and answered, “It’s Lin Zhengran—the one who saved your sister. He’s coming over for dinner.”

Jiang Qian and Fang ng both widened their eyes in surprise.

Even the usually cold Jiang Qian couldn’t hide her joy. She hadn’t seen Lin Zhengran in a while.

“He’s coming? Great! Once I finish up here, I’ll head out with ngng to pick him up.”

Father Jiang looked confused. “You’re going to pick him up? No need. Your sister’s probably with him now. The two of them will co ho together.”

Jiang Qian froze, her face blank as she repeated,

“What? He’s coming ho... with my sister?”
