Chapter 143: Chapter 141: A Divine Artifact is Born

Celeste Grant was baffled by the way he was staring at her.

She pressed a finger against his chest.

"Archfiend, what are you thinking about, staring at

so strangely? Don’t tell

you’re..."

She held a hand over her chest, giving him a look that clearly said, ’Are you thinking naughty thoughts?’

Javier Sinclair chuckled, placing a large hand on her head. "Rein in those thoughts of yours. I’m not that impatient."

’Except when he *is* impatient, then all bets are off.’

Celeste Grant finished the thought for him.

Celeste Grant smiled faintly.

"So, what were you thinking? Tell ."

Javier Sinclair reached out, pinched her chin, and leaned in as if to tell her, only to stop. "I can’t tell you that."

"You have secrets from ? Now I want to know even more."

She grabbed his wrist and pulled herself closer. "Hurry up and tell . What were you thinking just now? What kind of secret could I not know?"

Javier Sinclair said, "You expect

to just tell you because you asked? Do I have no pride?"

With that, he turned his back to her and gestured with his hand. "You go rest. I’m going to study the Array here."

’I still have to get the Divine Artifact here for her.’

She watched him walk out.

Celeste Grant let out a soft laugh.

"Exalted One... care for so dual cultivation?"

The man who was just walking out stumbled.

Javier Sinclair stopped in his tracks and turned back.

He bent down and swept Celeste Grant up into his arms.

"Dual cultivation it is, then."

His tone was calm, his expression serene. Only his gaze, fixed on her, burned with intensity.

Celeste Grant gently caressed his face with her fingers.

"Darling, you’re putting on such an act."

Javier Sinclair blushed.

"Nonsense. When have I ever put on an act?"

As he spoke, his figure flashed, and in an instant, they were at the door of the second-floor cabin.

Celeste Grant wrapped her arms around his neck.

The two of them entered the cabin, and the door closed behind them.

A Barrier materialized around the cabin...

Aaron Sinclair returned from outside the next morning.

He noticed Silverstream Valley was unusually quiet today; the auras of The Hexed were gone.

Near where they were staying, a dense swarm of venomous insects and Hex-bugs had been frozen in place by Demonic Qi all night, not moving an inch.

Seeing this, Aaron Sinclair’s eyes lit up.

’Dad definitely left these for .’

He held out his hand, and a Magic Treasure for storing living creatures appeared in it. Aaron Sinclair opened it and imdiately sucked the dense swarm of poisonous creatures and Hex-bugs inside.

’These can be used as ingredients for Alchemy.’

"Mom."

He called out and started walking toward the cabin. Before he could take two steps, he ran right into a Barrier.

Aaron Sinclair stopped, looked at the Barrier, then turned his back to the cabin and put his hands on his hips.

"Dad actually put up a Barrier. As if I would interrupt you."

"But..."

He chuckled mischievously.

"...if Mom gave

a little sister, that wouldn’t be bad at all."

The thought of a fair-skinned, chubby little girl tugging on his sleeve and calling him "big brother" in the future...

Aaron Sinclair scratched his head and smiled.

"Alright, then. I won’t disturb them. I’ll go find a place to practice Alchemy."

With a wave of his hand, his figure vanished.

Only a wisp of black qi lingered.

「Inside the room.」

Celeste Grant reached out and grabbed the bed curtain, trying to sit up. "Wait, I think I just heard our son call for ."

A long, slender hand reached out and grasped her wrist. The man’s deep voice could be heard from within the bed.

"Don’t worry about it."

"Let’s continue..."

「Inside the Barrier.」

「In the afternoon.」

Celeste Grant and Javier Sinclair were studying the Array together.

Celeste Grant hadn’t forgotten about the secret Javier Sinclair refused to tell her last night.

"Shouldn’t you co clean about that secret you wouldn’t tell

last night?"

He glanced at her.

"It’s nothing, really. Co closer."

He beckoned for her to approach.

Celeste Grant stepped closer. "What’s so mysterious that you have to whisper it?"

Javier Sinclair leaned in and whispered in her ear, "I was just thinking that if you had a daughter, she would definitely be beautiful."

’Yes, that’s exactly what I was thinking at the ti.’

’This woman is so beautiful,’ he thought. ’If we had a daughter, she would surely be just as pretty as her. The thought of a little girl calling

’Daddy’ seems wonderful.’

Celeste Grant was taken aback.

"You want a daughter now? Who said anything about having more children for you? We’re lucky to have one, and you already want a second? You sure have so beautiful dreams."

Celeste Grant, however, was reminded of sothing.

’When I was pregnant with Aaron, I had wanted a daughter.’

’But in the book, the female side character gave birth to a son. Even though the plot deviated after I transmigrated, my identity was still that of the side character. So, from the beginning, I had already guessed I was definitely carrying a son.’

’If I had a daughter, I would definitely dress her up beautifully every day. Just thinking about it is so cute.’

’But for now, I just want to escape the fate of a side character. As for everything else, I’ll let nature take its course.’

’Still, teasing the Archfiend is always an option.’

Thinking of this, she spoke up, "So you want a sweet little daughter?"

She grabbed his wrist and leaned in close.

She pointed to herself.

"How about ?"

That one question left Javier Sinclair, once he processed it, completely petrified.

He blushed and turned his back to her.

"Nonsense."

"HAHAHAHA."

Celeste Grant laughed happily. "Hehe, I’ll stop teasing you. Let’s get back to studying the Array here. The sooner we get the Divine Artifact, the sooner we can leave."

Javier Sinclair nodded slightly.

"Alright."

...

「Later that evening.」

A stir went through Silverstream Valley.

The Array here manifested, its runes flaring to life.

Javier Sinclair’s figure stood in mid-air as he used his blood as a catalyst. In that instant, the world’s color drained away, and the whole of Silverstream Valley was plunged into darkness.

Javier Sinclair’s Divine Sense swept across the entire valley, finally sensing the aura of the Divine Artifact deep underground.

"So there really is one."

’Since it exists, I must obtain it.’

He made a twisting motion with his hands.

At that mont, space itself distorted.

Javier Sinclair used his Cultivation to directly tear open the space here, his figure vanishing into the ground in the blink of an eye, arriving in the separate dinsion where the Divine Artifact was located.

Celeste Grant, watching from the outside, knew from this scene that he must have found the Purple Fire Tripod. ’I just don’t know if he’ll be able to get it.’

The earth began to tremble, and after a mont, pillars of light erupted from the edges of the Array.

’What a cliché sight.’ Celeste Grant knew this ant the Divine Artifact was about to erge.

At the sa ti, the entirety of Silverstream Valley began to collapse.

Celeste Grant and her son, who had sensed the commotion and rushed over, both flew up to hover in the air.

"Mom, what’s happening here?"

Celeste Grant glanced at her son beside her.

"Rember how I told you there was a treasure here? This is it."

Hearing this, he said, "Really? What is it? Let

see."

As he spoke, he brought his fingers together at his side, his Divine Sense blanketing all of Silverstream Valley. He discovered that this so-called treasure was massive, occupying the entire space beneath the valley.

’But a treasure like this is definitely sentient and can change its size, so it’s not strange for it to be this big.’

"Mom, I can feel a really powerful aura. The thing down there really is a treasure."
