Just as Jude Chaucer couldn’t bear it and stood up to pace around, Julian Lawson stared at the screen.

"Patience," Julian Lawson said.

Jude Chaucer took a deep breath, forcing himself to stay calm.

He was about to say sothing.

At that mont, on the monitor, Preston Langley suddenly moved.

Julian Lawson narrowed his eyes slightly, locking his gaze on Preston Langley.

Preston Langley took out a key from his pocket, inserted it into the keyhole, and turned it.

Everyone watching the monitor felt their hearts leap.

The house’s door was opened by Preston Langley, but he didn’t go in imdiately; he looked inside first.

Then, he lifted his foot and walked in.

"Vera, are you ho?" Preston Langley asked as he walked into the house. "I’m here to pick you up. Everything’s ready. Let’s go abroad together."

Suddenly, Preston Langley sensed sothing was wrong.

But it was too late.

The door slamd shut behind him, and suddenly a throng of people rushed out of the shadows.

There was even one person hanging from the ceiling, who directly jumped down and pinned him underneath.

Preston Langley tried to struggle, wanted to take out a weapon, but the person on top of him was heavy and hindered his actions.

"Damn it!" Preston Langley cursed.

Others quickly arrived, holding him firmly to the ground.

Soone imdiately searched him, pulling out everything he had hidden on him, then bound his hands behind his back, pressing him to the ground.

On the other side, Jude Chaucer jumped up.

He cheered, shouting wildly.

"Caught him! Finally caught him!" Jude Chaucer hugged the person next to him, jumping in circles.

Julian Lawson was also very excited, but he didn’t jump around like Jude Chaucer; his eyes just turned red, fists clenched tightly.

Caught him!

He had caught Preston Langley!

Soon, he could go find Serena Sterling to tell her everything.

They had already bound the person and were taking him outside.

Julian Lawson stood up and said to Jude Chaucer, "Let’s go and take a look."

"Yes!" Jude Chaucer said excitedly, following Julian Lawson over there.

In the alley.

Preston Langley was being controlled by Julian Lawson’s people, taken towards the car outside.

The car was bulletproof, with a specially prepared iron cage inside; once locked, there was no way Preston Langley could escape.

But the car was large and couldn’t drive into the alley, though it wasn’t far.

Julian Lawson was also leading people towards the car.

"Who sent you to capture ?" Preston Langley continued to struggle, cursing and questioning angrily.

"Be quiet! Don’t ask what you shouldn’t!" soone scolded angrily imdiately.

"Was it Julian Lawson! Last ti I ran into his people around here too!" Preston Langley asked loudly.

But no one answered.

Preston Langley anxiously looked around, asking again, "Where’s Vera? Where is she? What did you do to her?"

Still, no one answered.

But the answer was obvious, Vera’s place was already taken over by them, ambushing here to catch him, Vera must have been controlled.

No wonder he couldn’t reach Vera recently!

"Let go, let go!" Preston Langley struggled and shouted.

"Shut up!" soone beside him imdiately moved to gag Preston Langley to prevent him from attracting attention.

But at this mont, Preston Langley suddenly stomped his foot hard.

On the other side, Julian Lawson had quickly brought Jude Chaucer to the bulletproof car.

They stood there, looking down the dim alley.

Watching Preston Langley struggling as he was brought over.

Just a few ters between them, Preston Langley’s gaze t Julian Lawson’s.

Julian Lawson’s eyes were determined, while Preston Langley had a sinister grin.

Then, right at that mont, they saw as Preston Langley stomped his foot, suddenly—

"Boom!"

A loud explosion sounded.

Followed by—

"Boom, boom, boom..."

A series of explosions.

The ground was lifted, a series of blasts, dust flying everywhere.

"What happened?"

"What’s going on?"

"Did sothing explode?"

"Oh my, will it affect us here, run quickly!"

...

The disturbance was huge, people nearby ca out running chaotically.

Julian Lawson imdiately led people to charge forward.

"President Lawson, be careful, there might be more bombs!" Jude Chaucer shouted, trying to stop Julian Lawson.

But Julian Lawson had already rushed forward.

Amidst chaos.

Preston Langley!

He had to catch Preston Langley!

But there wasn’t, nowhere at all.

Nearby were only his people, undefended and injured by the blast.

Julian Lawson searched through the dust but couldn’t find anything.

In the chaos, Preston Langley, clutching his bleeding arm, had run to his car.

Hmph!

Did they really think he hadn’t prepared anything?

When choosing this place as a residence, he had already tampered with all the exits.

This was a lawless area, easy to work with.

Even if he was captured, as long as he triggered what he prepared, he could blast his way out.

He might get injured, like now with his arm bleeding, but at least he could escape.

Preston Langley got into the car, and at that mont, Julian Lawson erged from the dust, imdiately spotting Preston Langley over there.

Preston Langley also glared grimly back at him.

Then, Preston Langley slamd on the accelerator.

Julian Lawson imdiately picked up the walkie-talkie, informing his people of Preston Langley’s location.

They had few ambushers outside, not none at all.

Preston Langley didn’t drive far before he was blocked by vehicles.

"Hmph!"

His cris in the country had been enough for the death penalty, so he feared nothing.

The car was modified; Preston Langley floored the accelerator, charging at the hasty roadblock.

"Boom!"

The modified car smashed the obstacle aside and sped away.

After that, Preston Langley, relying on his knowledge of the terrain, zigzagged left and right, darting all over, shaking off the last tail.

"President Lawson, we lost him." The final ssage ca through the walkie-talkie.

Julian Lawson, covered in dust, watched the swiftly approaching police cars.

"Julian Lawson?" Officer Chloe Langley saw the dust-covered Julian Lawson as soon as she got out of the car, "What are you doing here?"

But Julian Lawson just smiled.

His eyes were blazing red.

Just a little bit, just a tiny bit.

Chloe Langley exchanged glances with her colleagues, signaling them to go in first, pulling Julian Lawson aside.

"What happened? Soone reported an explosion here!" Chloe Langley asked.

But Julian Lawson kept smiling.

What should he do?

Preston Langley had escaped.

Preston Langley also knew Vera wasn’t here, so they had no location to ambush anymore.

Would Preston Langley, like Vera said, release those photos of Serena Sterling...?

No...

Please no!

Julian Lawson imdiately started running out.

"Julian Lawson? Where are you going!" Chloe Langley called loudly from behind.

But Julian Lawson had already gotten into his car, driving towards the villa.

Chloe Langley imdiately set off in her car to chase him.
