Itwasaprettygoodread.AstypicalwithRoyalRoadnovels,eachchapterwasverylongascomparedtoregularnovels.Therewereafewaspectshereandtherethatwerekindafrustratingorleftmethinking"huh?"butitwasoverallaninterestingnovel.

I'vejustfinishedreadingthisnovel,andamheretogivemythoughtsandreviewsforthisstory.Forthestoryitself,itisamazing.Itisawonderfulmixtureofamagicprogressionfantasy,Highoctaneactionwithwonderfulwritingdetailandactualstakes,andarealistictakeonthewondersofahidden,developed,magicsocietyandthepoliticsitentails,bureaucraciesincluded.Themaincharacterhimselfisalsogreat,hehasawelldevelopedcharacterarcandsomegreatcharacterdevelopment.Callumgoesfromsomeonewhoisextremelyconfusedandparanoidaboutthisnewworldhefindshimselfin,tosomeonewithactualfriendshipsandapersonwhocantrustothersandhavethemtrusthimaswell.Hecomestohavemanyfriendswhohecanrelyonandwhocanrelyonhim.ThereisalsoanextremelywellwrittenromancewhichbothfeelsaccurateandisfulfillingandthesidecharacterswhohavesomuchdepthIwouldn'tbesurprisediftheauthorknewthemfirsthand.TheonlythingthereisnottolikeistheminorunresolvedplotpointsandhowthelaterpartsofthestoryhavealotofPOVshiftsandtheinsaneamountsofdetailforeachcharacter'sactionsandplanswhichslowsdownthepacingsomewhat.Allinall,thisstoryisanamazingexperienceofamanwhoentersastrangeworldandfightstostayaliveandprotectthoseclosetohim,withageneroushelpingofmagicalelementssuchasenchanting,otherraces,andeldritchhorrorsbeyondcomprehension.9.7/10,STier,isgood,readit.

Thestoryhasnowbeenfinished.Itwasagoodread,amongthetopnovelsI'vereadonthissite.Theauthorfarmorecompetentthentherest.Ialwayslookedforwardtoupdates,andeachonehadplentyofmeat.Notthatwasn'tanythingwrongwithit,butitwascraftedtoamuchgreaterqualitythanthevastmajorityofnovelsonhere.Itdoesn'tfollowthetypicalformulaofteensactionstories,soprobablyadecentamountofpeopleusedtothataregoingbedissatisfiedwithit.ButinexchangethestoryismorematureandthoughtoutsoI'llgladlytakethewhiningkids(andequivalents)inthecomments.ThisisdefinitelyastoryI'mgladtohavespentmytimeon.
