The situation had turned much more complicated than Zenith had ever imagined it would be.
Not only finding out about his disappearance but also hearing that Aiden was aware that he was together with Kylian all this ti, he tried to use a lie to avoid the topic while keeping a straight face, "Dude, what are you talking about? Why would I take that newbie with —"
"I told you not to lie again, right?" Interrupting his words, Aiden quickly grabbed his phone from his pocket and showed him a photo which left Zenith dumbfounded. It was a bit unclear image taken under the night sky, but the image of him flying together with Kylian while holding his hand while they were watching the flowery view from the sky. Both their faces were unclear, but just from a glance at their outfit, there was no point in denial anymore that it was indeed Zenith and Kylian.
"Darn...Aiden, sotis your quick observation irks a lot." Zenith scoffed at him while brushing his soft silver hair bangs above his forehead, as Aiden put his phone down.
His face had turned dark from the angst riled inside him when Aiden scowled at him again, "Now would you tell what the fuck is going on between you and him? Did you already expose your hidden power to that boy? Why would you do that when you’ve barely known him for a day!"
"Co on, you’re nagging at like a jealous wife, Aiden." To lighten the intense mood, Zenith joked about the situation a little but Aiden’s face turned more sour from his comnt.
"This is not funny, you darn moron! Do you have the slightest idea of the stress I had to bear the whole day when I learned you disappeared from the Academy while taking that boy with you? The horoom teacher wanted to have a chat with you, and I barely covered for you, telling him that you had caught a bad cold from falling down into that water fountain.
"But I was still anxious the whole ti thinking what if he actually decides to check on you by going inside your room? And now, if you dare to joke about this strenuous situation, then I should better go and show this darn picture of you and him together to the teacher and let him decide the punishnt for breaking one of the golden rules."
"Wait...Wait, calm down. I am sorry for joking about it." Quickly Zenith realized that Aiden’s temperant was scary enough that he would consider showing that picture to Teacher Matt, which wouldn’t bother him much but that might put Kylian into grave trouble.
Zenith fidgeted a little while thinking of the solid excuses he could put up at this mont so that he could keep Kylian’s secret safe with him. Slowly he approached close to Aiden and put on a sober expression when he answered, "I am just having fun with that boy. You know it well it’s pretty rare for soone to gain my attention and that boy seed to be doing that with his weird tactics.
"I know he kept bothering a lot upon his arrival here, but...we have kind of ford a deal between us. I am now his Master, and he’s my pet."
Standing awestruck at his answer, Aiden rolled his orbs which had a look of disbelief in them. He frowned his brows deep and questioned him back in a skeptical tone, "And he agreed to your whims? No, I don’t think he’s the type to get along with your deal without putting up a fight."
"You’re right, that’s what exactly has happened." Feeling a bit relieved since Aiden seed to accept his excuse, he now indirectly professed half-truth of their deal while declaring, "I had to swear to him that I will stop bullying those weak asses in the Academy, and in return, he’ll go along with my whims as my pet. This is going to be a fun ride."
While narrating the scenario, Zenith was clever enough to hold his arrogant smug to make sure Aiden would find his answer a little convincing. And indeed his idea worked! Aiden’s face turned surly from hearing his answer when he leaped a step forward while charging Zenith in an anxious tone, "Pet? That boy...agreed to let you be his Master?"
"Yep, exactly."
"But what are you planning to do to him? And...will you really stop bullying those other boys...just because of the condition he gave you? This is not like you, Zenith."
When Aiden asked him sternly, Zenith shrugged at him while taking a glance back at that building behind them. His face retained a solemn expression when he gave a small smirk, "I know its unlike , and I am not sure how far I can keep the word I have given to him. But...if he keeps amused by fulfilling his part, then I don’t think it will be very hard to play my part fairly as well."
"Hah, it feels strange to hear this from you, Zenith." Indeed Aiden sounded amazed by his voice as he told with a sneer, "No matter how many tis you have tried to go back to trying to live a bit of a wise life, troubleso situations always tend to find you around. So, do you think this ti you will actually be able to keep your word to that boy?"
’I must keep it because that’s the only way I will be able to stay by his side and protect him in this Alpha Academy as well. One thing I am very certain about, I do not want him to leave my side, even if Dr. Albert’s possibility and my fear co true...’
The thought struck Zenith in his mind but forging a calm smile, he relied on his excuses again, "I will try my best to follow the deal this ti. Besides, you know well, right? Once I get bored of sothing, I tend to throw it away. So who knows...for how long he will keep amused?"
"Fine...since you told the truth, I won’t refuse sothing you have already planned, but next ti, don’t just fuckin’ disappear along with him, got it? I won’t cover for you again if sothing like this happens..." Aiden scoffed in a cold voice as he proceeded to walk inside his dormitory building.
But before he could leave, Zenith suddenly grabbed his arm and asked him in a serious tone, "Aiden, can I ask you sothing?"
"If it’s a crazy demand, I won’t do it–"
"No, it’s not a crazy demand. It’s just that...in the Academy, if there’s soone I trust the most, it’s you. So...regarding my trust in you, can I ask a favor?"
