The indestructible effect of the Dark Golden Golem wasn’t absolute; under the relentless assault of the chanical Skysplitter Beast, it was starting to give way.

Johnnie’s face was grim as he wielded seven flying swords with flawless precision, launching a furious assault on the chanical Skysplitter Beast.

Clang! Clang!

A series of crashing sounds echoed through the air, and Xavier was in a miserable state, an uneasy feeling rising in its heart.

Johnnie must have sensed its intentions—he was trying to use the chanical Skysplitter Beast to destroy Xavier’s body.

Damn it!

Xavier cursed inwardly, furious.

"So, what? Are you planning to betray ?" Johnnie’s icy voice rang out, and the destruction command buried deep in Xavier’s consciousness seed on the verge of being triggered.

Xavier was startled, dodging the Skysplitter Beast’s lethal attack in a panic, stamring, "I wouldn’t dare. But Master, without that shield, I can’t kill the Skysplitter Beast. If this puppet body is destroyed, you’re as good as dead too."

"Cut the crap and just keep it busy." Johnnie snapped coldly.

He could feel that this dark golden chanical Golem couldn’t withstand the Skysplitter Beast’s attacks for much longer, but destroying it wouldn’t be an easy feat either.

Xavier’s eyes flickered with resentnt, but there was nothing it could do.

Right now, it still hadn’t succeeded in replicating Johnnie’s chanical laws, and couldn’t erase that chanical directive, leaving it completely under Johnnie’s control.

"Hmph, Xavier, you really think you can take on with your strength? Don’t overestimate yourself." the chanical Skysplitter Beast’s cold voice taunted as its attacks grew even fiercer.

Xavier said nothing, clenching its teeth as it did everything it could to fend off the onslaught.

At this point, cracks were spreading all over its Dark Golden Golem body, as if it could shatter at any mont.

Johnnie paid it no mind, still darting around the edge of the battlefield, unleashing The Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords. Seven flashes of cold light relentlessly attacked the chanical Skysplitter Beast.

chanical Divines were all corpses of fallen Divines transford into machines, their defenses monstrous. His attacks couldn’t even threaten this thing.

By now, the battle had dragged on for more than half an hour, with waves of chanical Race Battle chas swarming in from all sides.

Thankfully, no chanical Divines had shown up yet—otherwise, Xavier wouldn’t have stood a chance.

Even so, its puppet body was already at its limit.

Johnnie’s brow was furrowed tight, his attacks never ceasing for a second, but he still hadn’t triggered the Instant Kill effect.

Could it be that Instant Kill couldn’t be triggered on chanical Divines by the Seven Swords?

In half an hour, he’d struck hundreds of thousands of tis; even with the lowest odds, it should have triggered by now.

Looks like I’ll have to use the Skye Shield.

Johnnie let out a helpless sigh. Xavier wouldn’t last much longer, and if its Dark Golden Golem body was destroyed, there was no way Johnnie could hold off the chanical Skysplitter Beast alone.

He took out the Skye Shield, just about to hand it to Xavier, when suddenly, a prompt sound appeared.

[Ding, Seven Sword Instant Kill effect triggered. You have slain the chanical Skysplitter Beast.]

[God-killing power activated. All of your attributes are permanently increased by 10%.]

It worked!

Hearing the system prompt, Johnnie let out a sigh of relief. It seed the Seven Sword’s Instant Kill effect worked on the Divine of chanical beings as well.

But the trigger rate was ridiculously low. Was it one in a hundred thousand, or one in a million?

"Master, y-you killed the chanical Skysplitter Beast?!" Xavier cried out in shock. Staring at the beast’s corpse, it involuntarily took a step back, its eyes full of surprise and disbelief. Deep in its chanical gaze, there was even a trace of fear.

Johnnie was taken aback at first, but then realized—the chanical Skysplitter Beast’s consciousness hadn’t reappeared.

The Seven Sword’s Instant Kill effect had wiped out its consciousness directly!

"This..."

Even Johnnie was a bit surprised. Before, the Seven Sword’s effect on Divines hadn’t killed their Divine Souls.

It seed the consciousness of a chanical Divine was different from a Divine Soul. The Seven Sword could instantly kill it.

It probably had sothing to do with the traits of the chanical Race. They didn’t have Health Points, but relied on their consciousness to control powerful chanical bodies in battle.

The Seven Sword’s Instant Kill couldn’t destroy the chanical body—it could only kill their consciousness.

Having figured that out, Johnnie shot Xavier a cold, expressionless glance. "You’d better not try any tricks, or I can erase your consciousness just as easily."

"I wouldn’t dare." Xavier said hastily, its eyes filling with even more respect.

"Hmph!" Johnnie snorted coldly, glancing at Xavier’s battered Dark Golden Golem body. "Can your body still recover?" he asked.

"It can." Xavier replied at once. "Absorbing an Energy Core or a Spiritual Stone will repair it."

"That’s good." Johnnie said, finally relaxing. He walked up to the chanical Skysplitter Beast’s corpse to check out its loot.

There was an Energy Core, and two crystals—one black, one gray-brown.

[Divine-grade Energy Core: Contains imnse energy. Can be refined by a chanical Race Divine or soone with 50% chanical talent or higher.]

A Divine-grade Energy Core!

Johnnie’s eyes lit up. He could sense that the energy inside this core was on a whole different level from ordinary Energy Cores.

And his chanical talent had already surpassed 100%. He had mastered the chanical laws, so refining it would be no problem.

But there was no rush. He casually stored it in his inventory and turned to examine the two crystals.

"Huh, a Spatial Spiritual Stone!" Johnnie exclaid, his breathing quickening a little.

[Spatial Spiritual Stone: Refine to gain spatial talent.]

Space and ti—these were the two most powerful forces, and also the hardest to master.

At least in his previous life, Johnnie had never heard of any player who possessed spatial talent.

Refining the Spatial Spiritual Stone would instantly grant 10% spatial talent, maybe even help him comprehend powerful spatial skills.

Excited, Johnnie began refining it right away.

[Ding, you have refined the Spatial Spiritual Stone and gained 10% spatial talent.]

A string of prompt ssages flashed by, but he hadn’t comprehended any spatial skills.

Johnnie couldn’t help feeling a little disappointed, but it was only natural. Spatial skills were powerful and mysterious—not sothing you could just pick up at random.

Still, it wasn’t like he’d gained nothing. He could clearly sense that his awareness of the surrounding space had grown much sharper.

Johnnie turned his gaze to the other grayish-brown crystal.

[chanical Spiritual Stone: Refine to gain chanical talent.]

It was a chanical Spiritual Stone, equally rare and precious.

But it was useless to him—he had already comprehended the laws of machinery.

If he wanted to advance further, he’d need to refine a chanical Law Stone or rely on his own comprehension.

This thing might as well be kept for Crysic and the other girls.

Mastering chanical talent would allow them to refine Energy Cores and greatly boost their strength.

Boom, boom...

At that mont, a series of thunderous rumbles echoed, snapping him out of his thoughts.

The battle wasn’t over yet; waves of chanical Race Battle chas kept flooding in, attacking Selene and the others.

Even with the chanical Golems holding the line, they were far from a match—danger was closing in.

Johnnie stashed away the chanical Spiritual Stone and decisively rejoined the fight.

The Seven Swords flew out as he once again unleashed the Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords, slaughtering the Battle chas.

Xavier joined the fray as well.

The two of them were overwhelmingly powerful; these Battle chas crumbled before them.

What’s more, slaying Battle chas dropped Energy Cores.

Johnnie was in his elent, mowing them down, but unfortunately, he couldn’t access the Map of Heaven and Earth’s storage—the most his inventory could hold was fifty thousand Energy Cores, and it filled up fast.

He was forced to fight and refine Energy Cores at the sa ti.

[Ding, Energy Core refined. Four basic attributes 10 points.]

Prompt ssages kept flashing by, and Johnnie could clearly feel his power slowly rising.

That only made him more excited. He wielded the Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords, commanding eight flying swords for a rciless slaughter.

There were plenty of chanical Battle chas, but they were no match for Johnnie’s group at all.

They carved a bloody path through the chaos, finally arriving at the Spiritual Stone mine.

"Over here, my lord!" Selene called out, leading Johnnie and the others swiftly to the foot of the mountain.

Johnnie could vaguely make out the scene—a massive mining pit where nurous chanical Golems and enslaved mbers of other races were hauling Spiritual Stones.

All of them had undergone chanical modifications, but Johnnie could still barely recognize their original races.

There were humans, minotaurs, goblins...

And there was a giant, carrying a boulder the size of a house on its shoulder.

"Is that a Titan?" Johnnie was a little stunned.

The Titan Race were all mighty giants. The chanical Titan that attacked the Montemar Empire was a Divine powerhouse—unfortunately, it t Skye and was taken down in two axe blows.

Xavier explained, "Master, that one’s just a Mountain Giant—not a Titan."

Mountain Giant?

Johnnie was puzzled. He’d never heard of that race before; they probably weren’t from the Universe Continent.

Most of the Battle chas guarding the area had already been taken out, leaving only a few chanical dogs and chanical Golems—not worth worrying about.

"Didn’t you say there was a chanical Divine trapped here?" Johnnie turned to Selene and asked.

"My lord, I’ll take you there." she replied, glancing at Helios and instructing, "Subdue the miners here and make them rebel against the chanical Race. If they refuse to join us, kill them."

"Understood." Helios nodded and jumped into the pit, followed closely by several subordinates.

Johnnie looked at Selene. This woman was clearly ruthless and decisive—no wonder she beca the leader of the rebellion.

Still, recruiting these guys had its advantages. At the very least, they could help him distract so of the chanical Race’s firepower.

"My lord, the guardian here is a chanical Athyst Lion, also a Divine powerhouse." Selene explained cautiously as they advanced, "Its strength is formidable, and Helios’s formation can’t hold it for long. I’m not sure whether it’s still trapped."

Johnnie didn’t care much. Even if it broke free, Xavier could still pin it down.

Although killing a Divine—especially a chanical Race Divine—had a very low chance of triggering the Seven Sword’s Instant Kill effect, it wasn’t impossible.

Buzz...

Formation energy rippled ahead and the view opened up. Johnnie could see what lay in front of them.

Spiritual Stones were piled high, arranged in all directions, trapping a majestic purple lion that sparkled like crystal.

It was the chanical Athyst Lion, master of fire and earth laws—a powerful Divine.

"So, you haven’t run away?" the Athyst Lion said in a cold, contemptuous voice, its massive eyes sweeping the group before fixing on Xavier. "Or do you actually think you can kill with this traitor?"

Xavier’s betrayal had already been spread around by the chanical Celestial Dragon. The powerful chanical Race fighters here all knew about it.
