Xavier sneered and said, "You really overestimate yourself. I may not be able to kill you, but my Master can!"
The chanical Athyst Lion was even stronger than the chanical Celestial Dragon. Without the Skye Shield, there was no way Xavier could defeat it.
But now that this guy was trapped in the formation, there was no need for Xavier to do anything.
"Oh, really?" The chanical Athyst Lion looked at Johnnie with interest, but its gaze was even more disdainful. It said coolly, "Kid, I’d like to see what you can do."
Johnnie didn’t bother talking nonsense. He summoned the Seven Sword, split it into seven blades, and unleashed the Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords, striking at the chanical Athyst Lion.
Clang! Clang!
A series of crisp impacts rang out as the flying swords struck the Athyst Lion’s chanical body, but didn’t leave a scratch.
"Xavier, are you kidding ? You think this guy’s attacks can kill ?" The chanical Athyst Lion had been a little worried at first, but seeing Johnnie’s damage, it relaxed completely, flopping down on the ground and saying flatly, "Just a heads up, the overlord already knows what’s happening here. A chanical army will be here soon. You still have ti to get out of here."
Johnnie frowned but ignored it, only making his sword attacks even fiercer.
Xavier was a bit worried and said, "Master, if more chanical Divines show up, I’m afraid we can’t take them."
Even holding off a single chanical Divine was tough for Xavier. If they faced more than two, it would be certain death.
Johnnie didn’t reply. He wasn’t about to let such a golden opportunity to kill the chanical Athyst Lion slip away.
As for more Divines arriving, he’d figure sothing out when the ti ca.
Clang! Clang!
He controlled the flying swords, attacking with everything he had.
The chanical Athyst Lion yawned and lay down, pretending to nap.
"My lord, can you really kill this thing?" Selene couldn’t help but ask, worry in her voice.
The Athyst Lion’s fearless attitude unsettled her. Even though Johnnie had killed the chanical Skysplitter Beast before, that had taken over half an hour.
"I can." Johnnie didn’t explain further, just focused on controlling the flying swords with all his might.
Huh?
He glanced at his stats out of habit and noticed that his proficiency with the Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords was steadily increasing.
Attacking a chanical Divine could raise proficiency?
His eyes lit up and an idea struck him. He summoned the Dragon Patterned Sword as well, sending eight flying swords to attack like crazy.
The Dragon Patterned Sword didn’t have the Instant Kill effect, but it could also boost his proficiency with the Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords.
Right now, his Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords was already at level 8, but he needed more than three million proficiency points to level up again.
Maybe he could push it to level 9 right here.
Clang! Clang!
The sound of swords striking rang out again and again, eight flying swords flashing as Johnnie went all out.
Xavier and the others stood watch nearby, keeping an eye on their surroundings.
Boom! Boom!
Suddenly, the sound of fighting echoed from the mine below, as if reinforcents from the chanical Race had arrived.
Selene’s face changed slightly and she looked at Johnnie with concern.
If a chanical Race Divine powerhouse showed up, they’d be powerless to resist.
Johnnie hesitated for a mont before saying, "Go down and check it out. I’ll join you after I finish this guy off."
The chanical Athyst Lion was trapped in the formation and probably couldn’t get out—otherwise, it would have escaped long ago.
"Master, be careful." Xavier reminded him, then dashed down to the mining pit without hesitation.
Now only Johnnie was left, still controlling his flying swords and attacking with all his strength.
"Kid, stop wasting your ti. Your attacks can’t hurt at all." The chanical Athyst Lion yawned again, sounding bored.
Johnnie frowned a little. More than half an hour had passed, and he’d attacked hundreds of thousands of tis. His proficiency with the Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords had improved a lot.
Based on his experience with the chanical Skysplitter Beast, the Instant Kill effect should be about to trigger.
Clang! Clang!
The flying swords kept slashing wildly at the chanical Athyst Lion.
"Sigh, this is so boring. I’m done playing with you." it said, slowly getting up as powerful law energy surged around it.
Johnnie’s expression changed slightly. This guy was trying to break free of the formation.
Boom!
With a thunderous crash, the Athyst Lion smashed into the formation, making the ground tremble.
The formation’s power instantly weakened—probably not enough to hold it anymore.
Johnnie’s face grew serious. This guy had been toying with him the whole ti. Breaking out would be a piece of cake for it.
But Johnnie still held onto one last hope: if he could trigger the Seven Sword Instant Kill effect, he could finish the opponent with ease.
He didn’t back down and kept controlling his flying swords, attacking with all his might.
Boom!
Another thunderous explosion rang out, and cracks began to appear across the formation.
A surge of terrifying Fire-Elent law power burst out.
It looked like the formation wouldn’t hold if the chanical Athyst Lion struck again.
Johnnie gritted his teeth but still didn’t retreat. The Skye Shield appeared in his hand, just in case, ready to run at a mont’s notice.
If the Athyst Lion broke the formation before he could kill it, he’d have no choice but to flee.
"Human, this is the end!" a massive ball of fire smashed into the formation.
With a deafening crash, endless flas erupted, shattering the formation completely, and that terrifying energy blasted Johnnie off his feet.
"Damn it, the Instant Kill still hasn’t triggered!" Johnnie was both terrified and frustrated, and without hesitation, turned and shot toward the mine.
He still had a chance—as long as Xavier could hold the beast, he could keep attacking and definitely trigger the Instant Kill effect.
Besides, after all those attacks, there was no way he was giving up now.
"Hmph, you’re not getting away." the Athyst Lion said coldly, its massive body striding forward through the air.
Buzz!
Suddenly, a humming sound filled the air and a wave of terrifying pressure crashed down on Johnnie, slamming him out of the sky.
Gravity Domain!
His face changed slightly, and before he could react, a giant dragon of fire ca roaring toward him.
Boom!
A torrent of flas engulfed everything, swallowing Johnnie whole—even the Skye Shield couldn’t block the attack.
[You were instantly killed by the chanical Athyst Lion. Resurrection Ring activated.]
The prompt ssage appeared, and Johnnie revived on the spot, cold sweat streaming down his forehead.
Thank God the Resurrection Ring was off cooldown, but it could only save him from one attack—if he was hit again, he’d be dead for sure.
"Human, looks like you’ve got so sort of resurrection item on you. But how many tis can you co back?" The Athyst Lion’s icy voice echoed as howling winds and crushing pressure filled the air, and the next attack ca crashing down.
Screw it!
Johnnie was desperate—there was nowhere to run. He raised the Skye Shield, bracing for the Athyst Lion’s onslaught, while his flying swords kept raining down.
Clang!
A clear, ringing impact sounded, and right after, the sweet chi of a system notification filled his ears.
[Ding! Seven Sword Instant Kill effect triggered. You have slain the chanical Athyst Lion.]
[God-killing power activated. All your attributes permanently increased by 10%.]
Boom!
With a huge crash, the Athyst Lion’s massive body collapsed to the ground, stunned and lifeless. Its mind faded, and it died completely.
Even in death, it never knew how Johnnie managed to do it.
"That was way too close!" Johnnie felt a chill run down his spine. If the Instant Kill effect hadn’t triggered at the last second, he’d be a goner.
He walked up to the Athyst Lion’s corpse to check his spoils.
"Jackpot!" he exclaid, his eyes shining with excitent.
The chanical Athyst Lion dropped a divine essence, a god-tier Energy Core, a Fire-Elent Law Stone, and an Earth-Spirit Stone.
Refining the Fire-Elent Law Stone would directly raise his fire law comprehension by 1%.
"No Earth-Elent Law Stone?" Johnnie frowned in confusion—it seed like the loot was related to his own abilities.
He had already comprehended the Fire-Elent law, so the Fire-Elent Law Stone dropped.
But his Earth-Elent Gift was only at 40%, so only an Earth-Spirit Stone dropped.
Even so, that was pretty good—especially with an extra divine essence and a god-tier Energy Core.
Johnnie imdiately refined everything.
[Ding, you refined a god-tier Energy Core. Four basic attributes 10,000.]
[You refined a Fire-Elent Law Stone. Fire-Elent law comprehension 1%. Current Fire-Elent law comprehension: 3%.]
[You refined an Earth-Spirit Stone. Earth-Elent Gift 1%. Current Earth-Elent comprehension: 44%.]
The prompts flashed, and Johnnie’s strength improved dramatically once again.
He put away the divine essence and flew toward the mine.
Over there, the sounds of battle and shouting were constant—the slave miners were clearly fighting the chanical Race.
When Johnnie arrived, the place was in chaos.
The slave miners were too weak and no match for the chanical Race—they were being slaughtered rcilessly.
Only Selene and the others, along with the Minotaur, barely managed to hold off the Battle cha from the chanical Race.
Johnnie didn’t hesitate—he charged straight into the battlefield.
The Seven Sword shot out, and he unleashed the Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords, beginning a ruthless massacre.
By now, his proficiency with the Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords had reached over eight million—only a little more than a million left to level up.
Boom! Boom!
Thunderous explosions sounded as countless Battle cha surged in like a tide.
Xavier was also pinned down—yet another chanical Race Divine had joined the fight.
Johnnie’s eyes lit up, and he imdiately controlled the Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords, charging over.
This ti, it was a chanical powerhouse built from a Demonic Creature.
It looked like the chanical Race had collected plenty of Divine corpses, turned them into machines, and driven them with a new consciousness.
Even scarier, these machines had mastered the Divine abilities the bodies had in life.
Johnnie’s eyes flickered as a crazy idea popped into his mind.
Maybe he could also cultivate and raise his own Divines.
God-killing power from defeating Divines could increase his own attributes, and their bodies could be refined into machines.
It seed totally doable to Johnnie. He had already mastered the chanical law, and according to Xavier, if he killed the chanical overlord here, he could beco the new chanical overlord and rule over everything.
For most people, killing the chanical overlord would be nearly impossible—but he had the Seven Sword, and Coco had said that as long as he broke the space seal here, he could wipe out the chanical overlord.
Boom!
A massive blast of energy shook the air.
Johnnie snapped back to reality and decisively joined the fray, commanding his flying swords to attack the Demonic Creature chanical Divine.
Xavier saw him arrive and cried out excitedly, "Master, did you kill the chanical Athyst Lion?"
Johnnie nodded and ordered, "Help keep this guy busy."
"Understood!" Xavier’s confidence soared, and he threw himself into battle with the chanical Demon God.
By now, his chanical Golem body was battered and broken—he looked even more miserable, and even after absorbing an Energy Core, he couldn’t recover quickly.
He could only pin his hopes on Johnnie, praying he’d trigger an Instant Kill on the chanical Demon God as soon as possible.
