Refining Spiritual Stones to condense consciousness—this was a technique unique to the chanical Race.
Johnnie was surprised. He looked at Xavier and asked, "Did you know about this?"
Xavier quickly shook his head. "Master, I had no idea about any of this."
"Master?" The chanical woman’s eyes widened in disbelief. "You can control the chanical Race?"
Johnnie ignored her and frowned slightly, keeping his gaze fixed on Xavier.
If Spiritual Stones could condense consciousness, and Xavier was part of the chanical Race, there was no way he didn’t know about it.
Besides, he’d already said the chanical Race enslaved humans and other races just to mine Spiritual Stones.
Clearly, these Spiritual Stones had significant uses for the chanical Race, too.
Xavier started to look nervous under Johnnie’s stare and hurried to explain, "Master, I am completely loyal to you! Besides, you’ve left an unbreakable command deep in my consciousness—I can’t betray you."
"Is that so?" Johnnie didn’t really buy it. He had learned the law of machinery, but he still knew very little about the chanical Race itself.
"Master, this guy is trying to copy your law of machinery." At that mont, Maiev’s voice sounded in his mind.
Just as he’d suspected!
Johnnie wasn’t surprised; he’d sensed Xavier’s ulterior motives for a while now.
It seed that as long as Xavier copied the law of machinery, he could break free from Johnnie’s control.
If he mastered the law of machinery, he could even beco a chanical overlord—maybe his real goal was to seize power over the entire cha Divine Nation.
A killing intent rose in Johnnie’s heart, but he wasn’t eager to destroy the Dark Golden Golem’s body.
A puppet that even Divines couldn’t destroy—if Johnnie could control it, his strength would take another massive leap.
Johnnie stayed calm—not because he didn’t want to act, but because he couldn’t destroy Xavier’s consciousness.
As long as the consciousness survived, Xavier was basically immortal.
Johnnie snapped out of his thoughts and looked at the chanical woman. He said, "I’ll help you escape, but you have to tell how to refine Spiritual Stones and condense consciousness."
"This..." The chanical woman hesitated.
"What, you’re not going to agree?" Johnnie’s gaze turned cold.
"Please don’t misunderstand, sir," the chanical woman said hastily. "The thod to condense consciousness isn’t difficult, but it requires a huge number of Spiritual Stones. We don’t have enough."
She paused for a mont, then continued, "Originally, we just wanted to escape and break free from the chanical Race. But now, with your power, maybe we can seize the Spiritual Stone vein, unite the other races the chanical Race enslaved, and overthrow their rule. Then we could have as many Spiritual Stones as we wanted."
Johnnie’s eyes lit up. That was a tempting offer.
He turned to Xavier and asked, "Xavier, what do you think?"
Xavier imdiately replied, "That wouldn’t be a problem, Master. But as far as I know, there are two Divine powerhouses guarding that Spiritual Stone vein. I’m afraid we’re no match for them."
"Now there’s only one Divine powerhouse from the chanical Race left," the chanical woman explained. "We trapped the other one with a formation, so he can’t get out for a while."
"You guys managed to trap a Divine from the chanical Race?" Johnnie was surprised.
The chanical woman nodded. "Soone among us is a powerful Formation Master. Using Spiritual Stones, we quietly set up a sealing array and trapped a chanical Race Divine powerhouse. That’s how we managed to escape."
As she spoke, she glanced at the angry man behind her—the one who had just tried to attack Johnnie.
Being a Formation Master was a rare and powerful profession.
At least, Johnnie hadn’t t any Formation Masters until now.
With only one chanical Race Divine powerhouse left, Johnnie and Xavier together would be enough to handle it.
Even though Xavier had his own agenda, he wouldn’t act out before mastering Johnnie’s law of machinery.
Johnnie made up his mind right away and said, "In that case, let’s take the Spiritual Stone vein."
"Alright!" The chanical woman was excited. "With your power, sir, once we seize the Spiritual Stone vein and use it as a base, we could easily rule the cha Divine Nation."
Johnnie just nodded. He wasn’t interested in ruling the cha Divine Nation—what he wanted was to wipe it out.
Seizing the Spiritual Stone vein was just a ans to get his hands on more Spiritual Stones.
The chanical woman led the way, heading toward the Spiritual Stone vein.
Along the way, they were ambushed by swarms of Battle chas from the chanical Race, but there wasn’t a single Divine powerhouse among them—Johnnie easily destroyed them all.
Through their conversations, he started to get a basic understanding of these chanical people and their race.
The chanical woman’s na was Selene, and the Formation Master was called Helios. They weren’t from the Universe Continent’s humans, but ca from a human race in sothing called the Piert Sector. The chanical Race had destroyed their ho, enslaved them, and by chance, they’d ended up here.
According to Selene, the chanical Race was both powerful and unique—they even kept Divine beings as pets.
That’s right, they actually kept Divine beings.
As long as the consciousness of a chanical Race mber survived, they couldn’t die. They would kill the Divine beings they kept, refine their bodies, condense their own consciousness, and beco the most loyal warriors of the chanical Race.
With this bizarre ability, they mass-produced Divines and conquered countless star domains.
But even with all that terrifying power, the chanical Race was still wiped out by soone. The survivors just happened to escape and ended up on the Universe Continent, though their strength was a shadow of what it used to be.
Even so, they were still far beyond what Selene and her group could handle.
Johnnie was shaken—he’d known the chanical Race was strong, but he hadn’t realized they were this strong.
And yet, sothing or soone had managed to destroy the chanical Race. What kind of existence could do that?
Johnnie felt a bit lucky that such a powerhouse hadn’t shown up on the Universe Continent. Otherwise, he probably wouldn’t stand a chance.
He turned to Xavier and asked, "Xavier, did you know any of this? Or anything else about the chanical Race’s history?"
Xavier shook his head and replied, "Master, my consciousness has only existed for a few hundred years. These things must have happened a long ti ago—I don’t have any mory of them."
He paused for a mont, then added, "But what I do know is that the chanical Race was always considered incredibly powerful. There’s even a saying: ’When the human race falls, the machines will rise...’"
"Hmph, what arrogance," Johnnie snorted. As far as he was concerned, even if the chanical Race was strong enough to keep Divines as pets, they were nowhere near a match for the powerhouses from Earth.
Just the legendary figures he’d heard of in Earth’s myths—like the Demon God Skye—could easily crush a chanical Race Divine.
Not to ntion, above Skye, there were even more terrifying beings.
If those Divine powerhouses hadn’t died or disappeared, the disaster of his past life never would have happened.
"Master, that’s just a rumor among the chanical Race. You don’t need to take it seriously," Xavier said awkwardly.
"Hmph!" Johnnie grunted and ignored him.
His goal now was to gain consciousness, take control of the Dark Gold chanical Golem, and find a way to completely destroy or seal up Xavier.
Off to the side, Selene and the others were looking at Johnnie with new eyes—full of respect and awe.
As they approached the Spiritual Stone vein, more and more chanical battle armors tried to stop them.
But in the face of Johnnie and Xavier’s overwhelming strength, these guys were completely helpless.
"Sir, the Spiritual Stone vein is just ahead," Selene said, pointing at a mountain in front of them.
"This is the Spiritual Stone vein?"
Johnnie was surprised. This didn’t look like a mine at all—it was just a small mountain. It wasn’t huge, but it still rose over two hundred ters high and stretched for several kiloters.
If all those Spiritual Stones were mined out, he couldn’t even imagine how massive the total would be.
A mont ago, he hadn’t even known how to get Spiritual Stones. Now, an entire Spiritual Stone mountain had appeared right in front of him.
Whew!
Just then, a violent wind swept through, and a terrifying pressure crashed down.
Xavier quickly warned, "Master, be careful! That’s the Divine guarding the mine—the chanical Skysplitter Beast. It wields the Law of Space and is incredibly strong."
A powerhouse who commands the Law of Space?
Johnnie was surprised. He looked up to see a huge, savage beast, the size of a truck, flying toward them at breakneck speed.
"Xavier, you traitor! How dare you show your face here? Die!" With a roar, the chanical Skysplitter Beast struck without hesitation, its razor-sharp claws ripping open space and appearing right in front of Xavier.
Bang!
Xavier’s body was flung backward through the air.
Luckily, his real body was the Dark Golden Golem, which couldn’t be destroyed.
Even so, he was in bad shape and quickly called out, "Master, lend the shield again!"
"No need. You just keep this thing busy—maybe I can kill it." Johnnie refused at once. The Seven Sword flew out, split into seven, and unleashed the Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords, slashing straight at the Skysplitter Beast.
The Seven Sword had an instant kill effect—even Divines could be slain by it. Maybe it could take down this chanical Skysplitter Beast too.
"Master, I don’t think that’s possible—" Xavier started to protest, but the Skysplitter Beast lunged at him again.
He didn’t dare let his guard down and threw himself into the fight with everything he had.
The Skysplitter Beast wielded the Law of Space, while Xavier only had a natural affinity for space. The difference between them was huge.
Johnnie wasn’t just standing around, either. He unleashed the Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords, sending streaks of cold light to rain blows on the chanical Skysplitter Beast.
This thing was a Divine too, and a mber of the chanical Race, which ant its defenses were insane. His attacks barely scratched it. The Beast ignored Johnnie completely and focused all its fury on Xavier.
Boom! Boom!
Space ripped open, thunderous crashes echoed, and the chanical Skysplitter Beast’s power completely dwarfed the chanical Celestial Dragon. It easily pinned Xavier down, giving him no chance to fight back.
Xavier was miserable, using every ounce of strength just to block the onslaught.
Johnnie kept up his relentless assault, using the Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords non-stop.
anwhile, more and more chanical Battle chas kept pouring into the area.
Selene and her group were tangled up as well, fighting for their lives.
Fortunately, the chanical Golems Johnnie had brought joined the fray, locking down the Battle chas and taking so of the pressure off Selene and the others.
"Master, without the shield, we can’t kill the chanical Skysplitter Beast! And with all this commotion, we’ll probably attract even more chanical Race Divines!" Xavier pleaded anxiously, asking for help again.
Johnnie ignored him. The Skye shield could only be used three tis. After that, it would be so heavy he couldn’t even lift it—it was useless for defense if he wasted it now.
He kept ignoring Xavier, but the Seven Sword only attacked faster.
Boom!
Another deafening crash. Xavier was sent flying once more, and cracks were starting to appear all over the Dark Golden Golem’s body.
