She was still wearing the student uniform from the play, with a large coat draped over it. The white fur around the collar made her face look even more delicate and fair. When she smiled occasionally, her slightly drooping eyes gave her an especially innocent and pure appearance.

Soone had piled up snow half a person tall, and while Jack Stewart was away, they had all lazily started building snown and having snowball fights.

She just sat on the side and watched, seemingly finding it amusing. Her slender and pale wrist extended from her sleeve as she leaned over to scoop up the snow from the ground.

The chilly air pierced straight into her palms, but she found it particularly interesting. She scrutinized it carefully in the sunlight, then ford it into a ball and lightly threw it at the crew mber closest to her.

Everyone was having fun, and when Hannah joined in, the play beca even wilder.

Amidst the white snow, she beca the most beautiful and striking presence of them all.

Jackie Qualls still stood under the tree, his feet never moving an inch.

He just quietly observed that beautiful and ethereal face, his gaze resting on her innocent and vivid eyes, unable to look away for a long ti.

For a mont, he rembered the past lives stacked upon one another.

Though it had clearly been a long ti ago, it felt as though it was just yesterday.

He thought he was favored by the heavens, given a chance to start over. Not for anything else, but just to keep the person who was once entirely devoted to him by his side.

He intended to protect her under his wings, but suddenly realized that she could shine so brightly on her own.

Sotis he asked himself whether he truly loved the person who depended on him wholeheartedly, or the one dazzling on the stage.

Her transformation was already so great that he could no longer associate her with the person from his past life.

"Mr. Qualls, what are you doing here?" soone from the crew ca over, just noticing Jackie Qualls standing still, and called out curiously, "Are you here looking for Hannah?"

As the words fell, the people nearby looked over.

Jackie Qualls’s brows furrowed slightly, as he had intended to leave directly, but now it seed he couldn’t.

Turning his head, he t Hannah’s gaze directly. In the cold wind, it was especially calm, with only the remnants of laughter not yet fully faded.

Light and shallow, it rippled across the surface of the water, dazzling the eyes with its reflections.

"I just ca to see," Jackie Qualls heard his own voice, as if unconsciously speaking, even trembling slightly.

The people nearby tactfully gave the two of them space and continued with their work of clearing the snow.

The snow had fallen all night long, and only by the morning did it finally clear up.

Now, with the sunlight on them, they couldn’t feel much warmth, but at least the bone-chilling cold from yesterday was gone.

He looked at the person standing before him, cheeks flushed, slightly short of breath, with a faint smile, and those eyes as ever, devoid of himself.

He withdrew his gaze, not daring to look any longer, afraid he would lose control, "I’ll be going back tomorrow."

In the distance, the vast expanse of snow was particularly glaring under the sunlight, the boundless white causing a sense of unease, despite the brightness.

Hannah’s face showed no superfluous emotions, as if asking casually, "Don’t you plan to stay a few more days?"

Though Jackie Qualls knew in his heart that it was just a polite question, he still couldn’t help his heart skipping a beat.

"No," he lowered his eyes, his expression as warm and smooth as jade, the smile on his lips tinged with a touch of sour bitterness, "I ca, just to tell you sothing in person."
