Arnold Simmons tightened his grip, steadily rising to his feet. "Are you really not afraid that I might throw you into the sea?"

She tightened her grip and her whisper fell on his ears, "You wouldn’t dare."

A single sentence seed to have roped him in his place.

It made Arnold fall silent.

All he could do was sigh inwardly and scold her coldly, "You’re becoming more and more spoiled."

She laughed happily, her eyelashes flickering like twinkling stars in the night sky, her eyes holding a calm pool of water, disturbed only by the gusts of wind that swept away the little sorrow hidden away in her heart.

Hannah rested on Arnold’s shoulder, musing after a long while, "Actually, I really live on a star."

A soft whisper carried away by the sea breeze.

Still falling upon his ears.

His strides never ceased, the boundless night reflected in his eyes, just silently listening to the shallow breathing by his side, slling the faint fragrance at the tip of his nose.

Just like this, he found comfort.

She lived on a star, a long ti ago.

Long, long ago, it was indeed a beautiful planet.

Unfortunately, the fate of the weak is always in the hands of the strong, all you can pray for is to be forgotten by the powerful, thus escaping a disaster.

Unfortunately, how could prayers be heard when the deity had fallen many years ago?

After being captured, the colony left to wander aimlessly in space, the once fertile land beca re experintal terrain for others.

Invasions led to self-destruction.

Day by day, watching the desolate wastelands swallow the land, finally devouring sanity as well.

She had no ho.

Never had one in the first place, since she beca all alone, all she had was wandering.

Looking up at the countless stars, she felt neither heartbreak nor sadness, she just coveted the warmth in her arms.

Sothing she never had in the vast emptiness of space.

She tightened her grip, rubbing her head against his broad back, her voice softened as she murmured, "Arnold, I’m quite greedy, could you please love a little more?"

The night was so dark it felt like syrupy ink, the cool night breeze swept away the fervor of the man.

Yet, it was reignited by the girl’s words in the next mont.

Before he could reply, another sentence ca through, "Never mind, you shouldn’t love that much. If soone more handso appears, and I move on, you would feel so heartbroken, ah—"

Before she could finish, the world spun around her, and in the next mont, Hannah found herself on a smooth rock.

The rock was high, height that Hannah couldn’t scale by herself, upon suddenly being placed there and looking down, she found herself towered over by a great distance.

She playfully shook a leg, a shoe fell off, she didn’t know where it landed, this made her unwilling to jump down.

She could only soften her voice and look at the man in front of her, pleading in a sweet tone, "Arnold, could you lift down?"

The man stood in front of her, a small distance away, not too far, but just beyond Hannah’s reach.

She felt slightly deflated, retracted her outstretched hand in a bluff, and hugged herself tightly, turning away, but her gaze kept stealing glimpses at the expression on Arnold’s face.

She seed like a kitten that had deliberately knocked a glass off the table, causing a ss, a bit lost, yet stubbornly refusing to back down.
