"— Sis, I think I’m sick, can you co to see ?"
The young man’s voice was both pitiful and humble.
Co to think of it, it’s been quite a while since she last saw this dark lotus boy who’s black as white.
Louis Snyder has one big problem, he’s overly suspicious, the nicer people are to him, the more he suspects their motives.
It’s only when people neglect him that he begins to fantasize all kinds of scenarios.
Humans, they only treasure others when they are on the verge of losing them.
The elevator door opened, and Hannah put away her phone without replying to the ssage.
Just when the door was about to close, soone pressed the button.
The door reopened.
Hannah looked up with a smile on her face, her arms folded and standing to one side.
When the elevator door closed, Jackie Qualls was silent for a while before he suddenly spoke, "About tonight’s issue..."
"You an about you calling it off early?" she smiled faintly. "That’s fine. I can understand. Mr. Qualls, you don’t need to feel too guilty. It is human nature."
She smiled radiantly, already dressed in her regular attire, yet listening to her gentle words, Jackie Qualls couldn’t help but feel as if he was still in a play.
A beautiful woman standing on the shore in the moonlight, drenched, but not as dazzling as the stars in her eyes.
The man averted his gaze, staring intently only at the numbers that kept jumping. "Director Lee told sothing just now which I think makes sense."
Hannah raised an eyebrow, "What is it?"
Jackie Qualls turned around, gazing down at the girl’s eyes that were full of laughter. "I think if we interact more in private, our depiction on cara will beco more natural."
After he finished, he quietly waited for her response.
Hannah smirked, watching the man in front of her with interest, and said, "Mr. Qualls, If you weren’t known to be so upright, I would think you’re suggesting I co to your room tonight."
Realizing what she ant, he shook his head, "That’s not what I ant."
She smirked at him, not expressing whether she believed him or not.
When the elevator door opened, she started to step out.
Before she moved a few steps, her wrist was suddenly gripped and she was pulled into a stairwell.
Perhaps the sensor light was broken, even the loud noise of Jackie Qualls closing the door didn’t trigger it.
Only a thin moonlight stread in through a small window above, landing on the man’s face, making his eyes appear even darker.
The night blurred the deep affection in his eyes, and the soft and calm voice in this environnt added ambience, "Hannah, I just hope you can give a chance to get closer to you."
She took a step forward and kicked his shoe, looking up at him lightly, "Mr. Qualls, do you feel we’re not close enough now?"
In the dim light of the night, filled with silence, he could see the tiny sparks of laughter in her eyes. They were as clear as a lake filled with scattered starlight, but such beauty vanished with a light breeze.
In an instant, he seed a little afraid to see her gaze like that; his voice filled with helplessness and faint pain, "You know I don’t an that."
He caged her with his arms and the wall, constantly keeping a certain distance.
Sotis, he beca cautious even at the re touch of her.
Although Hannah knew this in her heart, she feigned ignorance, "Mr.Qualls, I have a poor sense of direction, I can’t navigate through your twists and turns."
He just stared at the girl in front of him.
Silence, the room was utterly quiet.
The moonlight outside the window beca increasingly brighter.
