The present situation caused Konan to lose her calm as she roared in anger after seeing the betrayer.

Nagato, with empty sockets, wailed in despair as nothing ever worked out the way he wanted.
First Yahiko, he lost him because of believing in Hanzo, and when he wanted to change everything, he was again betrayed.

"Try to look back; first, your parents being killed in front of you made you partially awaken the Rinnegan, then Yahiko dying in front of you drove you towards darkness."
"And then you t that guy who told you the way towards a better world. Do you think it was all a coincidence?"
Kozuki revealed the facts as the expression on the face of Nagato beca more and more horrifying, and even Konan sat down holding her head.

"Uchiha Madara"

"That masked guy? but if he just wanted to take it back, why would he give it to in the first place"
Nagato asked back as the answer given by Kozuki left him in confusion.
"That guy is just a fake; what I'm talking about is the real Uchiha Madara, the Rinnegan you had was given to you by him"
"But why, why would he give it to ?"
Nagato still couldn't understand why Madara had to plant his Rinnegan in him.
"You know the answer, Nagato, Madara awakened his Rinnegan at an old age, and he didn't have much ti left"
"you have been using Rinnegan for so many years, you should understand why"
Kozuki gave the last hint as Nagato sitting in front thought for a mont before a shocking expression appeared on his face as he, with shock, squeezed two words
"Rinne Rebirth"
"Yes, he wanted you to resurrect him"
Kozuki nodded, confirming the guess of Nagato.
"Haha, so I was just a pawn"
Nagato began to laugh loudly as he even mocked himself inside his heart for pretending as a God.
"How do you know so much?"
Finally, after laughing at himself for a while, Nagato stopped as he asked the most crucial question.
Kozuki just smiled and didn't answer his question.
"I see; no wonder even that mask guy was wary of you; you really are mysterious"
Nagato could now understand why Fukashi was so wary of Shanks; he was really mysterious.
"It's ti"
Kozuki said to Nagato as he was ready to go back.
"I see, but before you kill , I have a request, let Konan go; she is innocent"
Nagato had a helpless smile on his face as he seed to have accepted his fate, but he didn't forget to plead for Konan.
"No, Nagato, I have no one left in this world aside from you; if you are going to die, then so will I"
Konan arrived beside Nagato as her tear-stained face had a smile as she was ready to die along with Konoha.
"No, Konan, you have no part in my sin; you don't have___"
"Nagato, don't stop , we had promised to be always together, it wasn't possible here, but we will be after death"
Konan stopped Nagato as to her death was liberation, and dying with Nagato couldn't be better.
The three of them would soon be together.
"My whole life was a failure, but it wasn't that bad either; after all, I can die regretless because I had such great friends"
A pure smile appeared on the face of Nagato; even the darkness in his heart seed to be swept away.
"Do it"
Nagato said to Kozuki as both of them were ready to face death.
Kozuki, who saw their friendship, was moved, and so mories of his past like sparring with Kakashi, missions with Shizune and Kurenai, eating out with Obito, Guy, and the rest ca to his mind.
Whoosh...
Shaking his head, Kozuki disappeared from his place and appeared behind them.

A chop fell on both of the necks of Nagato and Konan, and they passed out.
"It isn't ti to die yet; live and find a beautiful future"
Kozuki put both Konan and Nagato on his shoulder and floated towards Konoha.
