Lucas rushed around his bathroom, vigorously washing his face with soap multiple tis. He examined himself in the bathroom mirror, scrutinizing every imperfection. Frowning, he noticed his dark circles.
"Ugh... You look awful, Lucas. Why did those wicked girls succeed in making you look ugly?" Lucas muttered, clenching his fist. He was determined to complain to the patriarch. He couldn't bear it any longer.
He walked out and saw Kyra still sitting on his sofa. His heart raced. She was the only one who understood him and trusted that those malicious females were always after him. When he told his mother, she dismissed him, saying, "Don't be so self-obsessed."
Kyra looked up as she heard him approach. Her hazel, magnetic eyes were his favorite feature.
He sat down very close to her. He had already decided that she would be his mate. Kyra shifted uncomfortably, wanting so personal space, but did this wolf know personal space? Nope! He moved even closer.
"Thank you for saving ," she said with a slight smile.
"It's my duty to protect such a beautiful female," Lucas replied, his eyes sparkling. If only you ignore the dark circles from the punches.
"Thank you for the complint, but what's your na?" Kyra asked, realizing she didn't even know his na and wanting to find out more about him.
"My na is Lucas!" he exclaid excitedly. It looked like Kyra was interested in him, and if she asked him to be her mate, he would reluctantly accept.
"But what's your na, female?" Lucas suddenly realized that he didn't know Kyra's na and asked her.
Kyra felt a bit strange that he kept referring to her as 'female' and ignored what she had said. "Kyra," she replied.
"Lucas and Kyra... don't you think our nas sound good together?" Lucas started babbling enthusiastically about how great their nas sounded together.
Honestly, Kyra began to feel more comfortable around him.
"You're a wolf shifter," Kyra asked, not fully understanding her situation or where she was. She didn't want to appear ignorant.
"Yes, I am a Silver Wolf. I am the most handso, powerful, and sought-after male in the Silver Wolf tribe," he boasted, continuing to ramble. Even the patriarch let him go on, despite his mistakes.
"Are you finished?" a voice suddenly interrupted. It was Patriarch Tim, standing at the door and glaring at Lucas.
"Why are you here again?" Lucas almost shouted, worried about being scolded once more. What about his image? Anxiously, he looked at Kyra, who had stood up. He stood up as well.
"Lucas, is this your mate?" Patriarch Tim asked, confusing Kyra. Lucas winked at her, and she understood, nodding her head.
"Aren't you going to welco ?" Patriarch Tim asked, amused.
Lucas wanted to nod his head, but through gritted teeth, he replied, "Co in, Patriarch."
Patriarch Tim smiled as he entered and sat on the opposite sofa. Kyra was still standing.
"Why don't you sit down, my dear?" he gently said to Kyra.
Kyra nodded and sat down, and Lucas joined her.
"What's your na?" Patriarch Tim asked Kyra.
"Kyra," she replied, offering a small smile.
"Good... good na. I am Patriarch Tim. If you have any questions or need anything, you can co to ," Tim assured her.
"Why don't you get straight to the point?" Lucas interjected, knowing that the patriarch must have sothing to discuss.
"Okay, okay," Tim chuckled at Lucas. "The tribe's most powerful beast Lucas has found his mate, so we're celebrating with a bonfire for you both. Co with your mate," Tim said, rising from the sofa.
"Really?" Lucas raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"Absolutely," Tim confird, ruffling Lucas's hair. In response, Lucas glared at him.
'I know no one can resist my fluffy and thick hair,' Lucas thought to himself as Patriarch Tim left.
