At the top of that list was Ryan's na, following down were other nas of students within the institution. 'Should I have this?' he thought, as he lowered his eyes to the bottom of the page. The table had hundreds of nas, which were sorted by guild rank, elent, and age. So of the nas were marked in pen.
'That must be a mark of who she doesn't like...'
At the bottom of the page was a handwritten note. 'That handwriting looks feminine' he thought, as he read the ssage "Dueling will be decided randomly.
'Yes, I imagine she wants to hurt her opponents a bit'
'She is really smart' he was looking suspicious as he evaluated that table.
Putting the sheet in his pocket, he went about his day as usual.
* A week in the future
The days before the start of the dueling event were relatively quiet. Ryan did not receive any updates from the open quest he had received, nor was he able to activate the compass ability he had received as a blessing. After these quiet days, the day of the duel had arrived.
Slowly opening his eyes, Ryan was lying on his bed. Lyza and Olivia were in the kitchen preparing food, while Sara and Alice were focused on tidying up his equipnt.
Getting up carefully, he was feeling completely rested. His body was energized as that delicious pancake aroma wafted into the room and srized him with hunger.
*grr*
"Your alarm clock is a little different than usual" Nyx said, loudly, as she poked Ryan's belly. She was floating, above the bed.
"You were hiding?" Rose said, looking through the door that led into the bedroom.
Nyx disappeared and appeared in front of the nurse, with a smile she replied "Maybe?"
"Today is the day of the first duel" he said as he sighed and got up from the bed.
'If that were the case, it would be gone by now. But the quest is present like the one in Crystaldrift'
As he put a pancake in his mouth, his thoughts and worries subsided. Ryan raised his head and looked at his table, he was surrounded by beautiful won who genuinely loved him. With a smile, he just shook his head and chose to focus on the now.
"This is delicious, thank you Livia, thank you Lyza" he said as he put so more food on his plate.
Leaving breakfast, Ryan did his routine workout together with Lyza. After a series of stretches, he got ready to go to gym nine, which was relatively close to the Rank S dorms.
"Did you get everything you needed?" Olivia said, as Ryan stepped into the elevator. He nodded "I'll just take the rifle and so cubes" he said, pulling his backpack forward. Then the elevator descended.
'What's that weird noise?' he thought, looking down.
