Liu Jing rely imagined the scene and felt the thrill of sweet revenge.

She extended her foot.

Wen Ran was about to step out of the elevator, completely unguarded towards the person behind her.

One leg had just crossed out, and she was looking at the people bustling in and out of the banquet hall, even catching sight of CEO Zhou in a stunning black rmaid gown, thinking how beautiful she looked.

Wen Ran was about to lift her other leg when an arm suddenly ca across her waist, gently yet firmly propelling her out of the elevator.

"Ah—" A sharp scream rang out from behind.

Wen Ran instinctively turned her head, only to see Liu Jing fall onto the elevator floor, glaring at her angrily.

Almost instantly, she guessed that Liu Jing probably intended to step on her dress to embarrass her, but Fu Chenlie had noticed and thwarted Liu Jing, giving her a small lesson in the process.

"Shall we go?" A deep, magnetic male voice reached her ears.

She snapped back to reality, looked at his composed and abstinent expression, and nodded, saying "Hmm."

After walking a short distance, Wen Ran whispered to him, "Did you trip her just now?"

"She was going to step on your dress. I blocked her with my leg, and she lost her balance and fell."

"Serves her right!"

Fu Chenlie subtly curled his lips.

Wen Ran murmured a small complaint, "It’s all your fault for inviting her here; otherwise, she wouldn’t have had the chance to step on my dress just now."

"But she didn’t step on it, and even fell herself, didn’t she?"

"True."

He responded with an "Hmm": "Rest assured, Madam, with here, no one will lay a finger on you."

At such a bustling cocktail party, hearing Fu Chenlie say such words, Wen Ran felt a temporary quickening of her heart, even her gaze towards him softened with affection.

She gently nodded, "Hmm."

At the party, sharp-eyed individuals soon noticed Fu Chenlie’s entrance and quickly ca over to greet him.

Wen Ran, acting as the driver, got squeezed to the side.

Watching him being surrounded by others, a strange sense of pride welled up within her heart.

That was her husband, encircled by people, like a king among stars.

Upon snapping back, Wen Ran planned to find so place to eat sothing.

However, a figure suddenly blocked her way.

It was Liu Jing again.

Wen Ran looked at her coolly, "Is there sothing you want?"

The latter’s eyes widened in anger, "Wen Ran, don’t think that just because you’ve got a new outfit and are standing beside Mr. Fu, you can be anything with him. You’re always just a driver, never to be his woman."

She replied nonchalantly, "Are you finished?"

Liu Jing was furious, but she didn’t open her mouth again.

Wen Ran really didn’t know where Liu Jing’s great malice towards her ca from, nor did she have the mood to delve into it.

She sidestepped her and walked away.

Wen Ran randomly picked so desserts, then found an inconspicuous spot to sit down and started eating leisurely. As the third bite of cake was about to enter her mouth, soone sat down across from her.

She looked up, glimpsed the visitor and was slightly surprised, "Qin Zeyu? Why are you here?"

"Invited by Mr. Fu."

"...Huh?"

Wen Ran was a bit surprised.

Liu Jing, Qin Zeyu...

Fu Chenlie invited the two of them, according to her understanding, was a bit perplexing.

Did he intend to do sothing at this party, and deliberately invited two spectators?!

Wen Ran felt it was quite awkward just sitting with Qin Zeyu, so she showed a faint smile and started a conversation with him, "Is your car fixed yet?"

"Almost, I will send you the detailed bill once it’s out, and return any excess money." he said.

She imdiately waved her hand, showing a slightly embarrassed expression, "I... I didn’t an that."

Qin Zeyu looked at her deanor and chuckled.

Wen Ran also giggled along.

Not far away, Fu Chenlie was searching for Wen Ran’s figure at the party. Upon seeing her sitting with Qin Zeyu, his handso face instantaneously clouded over...
