Chapter 706: Chapter 706: Father-in-law is Aweso!
Despite her words, Zhang Yuxi was still worried. By the ti it was ten-thirty, she was ready to make a call.
"I said she’d be ho by eleven-thirty at the latest. Let’s wait a bit longer," Lin Feng persuaded her.
At eleven-twenty-five, she ca back, right on the dot. Her parents were still in the living room, and it looked as if they had been waiting for a long ti.
"Mom, Dad, you’re not asleep yet?"
"We’re still up," Lin Feng said. "Your mother and I were just discussing how to make Xing Yun’s sumr aningful."
"Oh," Erbao said. "In that case, you two continue discussing. I’m going to bed."
"Go ahead," Lin Feng nodded.
After taking a few steps, Erbao turned back. "Dad, you know so dical techniques, right?"
Zhang Yuxi shot a sharp look at her. "What’s wrong with you?"
Erbao didn’t understand the aning behind her mother’s glance. "I’m fine. It’s Qin Jiang. He has an old injury, and seeing lots of doctors hasn’t helped. I was just asking if Dad had any way to treat it."
Zhang Yuxi didn’t say anything, looking toward Lin Feng instead.
Qin Jiang is my future son-in-law. I hope he’ll be all right.
Lin Feng pondered for a mont. "He’ll need to co over so I can take a look."
Erbao smiled. "No problem. I’ll have him co over tomorrow so you can take a look."
Originally, Lin Feng had planned for Xing Yun to spend her sumr doing farm work in the countryside, which would also be a chance for her to bond with his parents. Now that he had to treat the fat guy, his parents were against Xing Yun returning to the countryside.
"Go back to the countryside for what? The sun there is too harsh, and there are so many mosquitoes. It’s better for Xing Yun to stay comfortable in the city."
"Exactly, exactly. There’s nothing here, it’s not fun at all. It’s not like your city, with amusent parks and everything."
In any case, the two teachers didn’t want Xing Yun to co and suffer.
Lin Dashan and his wife had built a two-story villa back in their hotown and moved in with Lin Daan and his wife, as well as their third aunt. The land surrounding the villa was fenced off, allowing them to plant vegetables and flowers. They lived a leisurely life.
Initially, Lin Daan had felt uncomfortable here and there, but after working on the farm every day, all his discomfort had vanished!
Zhang Yuxi was an incredibly busy person, working overti six days a week—even busier than when she was a principal. Lin Feng handled all matters at ho, big and small. By the ti she found a mont to pay attention to family matters, the children had all grown up. At the very least, she had spent a good amount of ti with the quadruplets when they were little. Only with Xing Yun, she had gotten busy shortly after her one-month postpartum confinent, and her ti with her daughter grew less and less.
Fortunately, Xing Yun was a sensible and considerate girl who still lived a happy life.
"Honey, what are your plans for Xing Yun’s sumr vacation?"
It wasn’t as if there were no advertisents or show offers coming in for the sumr, but Lin Feng had looked at the scripts and turned them all down. It was too hot. Never mind the outdoors, the photography studios were like steam rooms. He didn’t want Xing Yun to work so hard. Besides, Xing Yun was still young; she needed to have fun!
"Let’s enroll her in a training course," Lin Feng suggested. "Isn’t her handwriting awful? Let her practice calligraphy."
Zhang Yuxi pursed her lips. "She might cry, you know."
Lin Feng felt a headache coming on. "There’s no way around it. Her handwriting is terrible."
Xing Yun’s handwriting was even worse than Dabao’s had been when he was a child; looking at it was enough to raise one’s blood pressure.
"As for other courses, we’ll see what she likes and sign her up for those."
They say a girl endowed with literary grace possesses a divine glow, and they both wanted Xing Yun to read more books. If she continued down the path of a performing arts career, it was one thing to call herself an academic slacker when she was young. But if she grew up and was still a slacker, that would be going too far.
After their discussion, the couple went to rest.
「The next day.」
At noon, Erbao brought Qin Jiang over. "Dad, take a look at his back."
Qin Jiang had injured his back in the past. He had since lost most of the sensation in the area, and it had gotten worse in recent years. The doctors’ reports suggested that he could beco partially paralyzed at any ti.
Lin Feng looked at Qin Jiang’s dical records, conducted his own examination, and finally administered acupuncture.
Qin Jiang smiled faintly and obediently lay down.
Lin Feng said, "First, you’ll need daily acupuncture for seven days straight. After that, once a week will be enough."
"Is there a chance of recovery?" Erbao hurriedly asked.
Lin Feng nodded. "I’ll do my best."
Although he had the Skills, he didn’t want to make any firm promises. If the treatnt failed, his daughter would be so disappointed.
After the acupuncture session, Qin Jiang had lunch at their house and then headed to the company with Erbao in the afternoon.
Erbao started the car but then took a different route. "We’re not going to the company. Let’s go have so fun."
Qin Jiang asked with a smile, "Now that you know I might end up partially paralyzed in the future, it’s not too late to regret it."
At first, he had been selfish. The doctor had only said it was a possibility, not an absolute certainty, and he’d assud his luck wasn’t that bad. But this recent follow-up check suggested he might not be so lucky after all.
But Erbao said, "Don’t worry, my dad will cure you."
Qin Jiang didn’t say anything.
Erbao glanced at him. "Don’t you believe ?"
"I believe you," Qin Jiang said with a smile.
Erbao knew he didn’t believe her. She snorted. "Let
tell you, you have no idea what my dad is capable of."
"In my heart, my dad is omnipotent. As long as he wants to do sothing, he will definitely succeed. Definitely!"
Every daughter worships her father. Qin Jiang could understand that.
Erbao was furious. This guy still didn’t believe her!
"Have you seen that fat guy?"
"Which one?"
"The one at my house. You saw him last ti."
"What about him?"
To prove how incredible her dad’s dical skills were, Erbao didn’t hesitate to reveal the fat guy’s condition.
Qin Jiang was stunned. !!!! Wow, my father-in-law is amazing!
Erbao told Qin Jiang to prioritize his treatnt and push everything else back.
Qin Jiang sighed. "Our work isn’t sothing we can just postpone whenever we want."
Erbao grew anxious. "But no matter what, isn’t your life the most important thing?"
Qin Jiang wanted to say that in his line of work, he’d long stopped considering his life that important. But he didn’t dare say it, because now, he cherished his life very much!
Seeing his silence, Erbao beca irritated. "Forget it. I’m not talking about this anymore. You’re spoiling my mood."
Qin held her hand, thinking how sweet and considerate she was. "I’ll be very good to you in the future. Really, very, very good."
Erbao scoffed. "If you’re not, I’ll beat you to death!
"I can’t beat you by myself, but I have an older brother, a younger brother, and a younger sister. They all know Taekwondo, and every one of them is an expert.
"And my dad? You know about him, right? He’s a formidable character too, the kind who can scale walls and leap across roofs!
"And isn’t your family rich? Well, our family is the wealthiest in the country. If you ever treat
badly or bully , I’ll make your family go bankrupt."
Qin Jiang burst into laughter. "Alright!"
Erbao punched him playfully. "I’m being serious! I’m not joking with you!"
"I know," Qin Jiang said, straightening his face.
After grumbling for a mont, Erbao cracked a smile. "So, now you know how formidable I am. It’s not too late to back out."
Qin Jiang quickly let go of her hand. "I’ll consider it."
Erbao ground her teeth. "You have a death wish, don’t you?"
The car was suddenly filled with cheerful laughter.
