Upon hearing this, Huang Shan was very displeased. Almost instinctively, she realized all of this was Hua Tiantian’s doing. In a fit of rage, she raised her arm, ready to strike Hua Tiantian across the face.
Hua Tiantian grabbed her hand angrily and said, "Huang Shan, are you planning to slap again? Last ti, you took advantage of a scene to slap . Do you really think I’m so easy to bully?"
With that, she shook off Huang Shan’s hand. Huang Shan glared at Hua Tiantian with a face full of resentnt.
ng Yan, who saw the situation unfold, walked over and stood beside Hua Tiantian. In a soft tone, he said, "Miss Huang Shan, what are you trying to do?"
Surprised by ng Yan’s sudden appearance, Huang Shan awkwardly reined in her anger. Forcing a smile, she said, "President ng, we were just joking around. I didn’t expect it to alarm you."
"This is a set. You’re an actor. Do I need to remind you what professionalism entails?"
Huang Shan awkwardly and angrily stord off.
Hua Tiantian breathed a sigh of relief, thinking ng Yan had arrived at just the right mont. As the man prepared to turn and leave, she said, "Thank you for stepping in earlier to help out."
"I’ve already said, there’s no need for thanks between us."
ng Yan’s departing figure was strangely captivating, catching Hua Tiantian off guard. She, who often couldn’t resist criticizing him, found herself montarily dazzled. For the first ti, she realized that ng Yan could be not entirely unpleasant. His tily intervention and the suave way he stepped in earlier were genuinely...
"The director’s calling for you. What are you daydreaming about?"
The assistant suddenly patted her shoulder, startling her.
"It’s nothing."
"The director needs you. Hurry up."
Hua Tiantian nodded and, anxious about the ti, darted toward the set.
Huang Shan was already waiting. The two quickly touched up their makeup and headed straight in.
"Places everyone. Caras ready. Actors in position. Action!"
Huang Shan entered the first scene emotionally charged but struggled to get into character.
Hua Tiantian, who had practiced not only her lines but Huang Shan’s as well to ensure better scene connections, had done her howork. She delivered her lines seamlessly.
Huang Shan managed to say one line but couldn’t continue with the next.
The director, noticing the issue, yelled, "Cut!"
"Huang Shan, how co? Didn’t I give you ti to learn your lines? There are only three lines! Don’t tell you couldn’t rember them." His piercing gaze was terrifying as he marched up with the script and began berating her rcilessly.
"I’m sorry, Director. I’m so sorry."
Huang Shan apologized awkwardly and helplessly, inwardly seething with resentnt toward Hua Tiantian.
With an expressionless face, the director declared, "We’ll do another take for this scene!"
Hua Tiantian maintained her focus, staying in character. She repeatedly muttered her lines and rehearsed until she knew them by heart.
Huang Shan, anwhile, harbored bitterness toward Hua Tiantian, convinced all her setbacks were caused by her. She suspected ng Yan had sothing to do with it, fueling her doubts further.
"Cut!"
"Cut!"
Every scene that followed had to be reshot at least three tis. The director’s mood soured further with each take, glaring furiously at Huang Shan. Suddenly, he glanced at Hua Tiantian and, in one burst, began criticizing Huang Shan: "Look at Hua Tiantian! Whether it’s her previous character or this one, she’s capable of delivering. Her lines are better morized than yours. Are you seriously bringing your emotions onto the set?"
